I have been a patient of Dr. Escandon's since the day she opened her practice. She was quickly available to me when I was sick. She has helped me greatly with my prescriptions. I've also had her work on skin spots, unwated hair, and general improvement in my appearance. I can tell you I am very, very pleased. Additionally, the treatment charges are far less than other medical offices I've check with. But most importantly to me, she offers effective medical treatment, and is quickly available when I need a doctor.I recommend Dr. Escandon Family Medicine and Asthetics to anyone that has health needs or wants their appearnance improved. Also, check out her website, It's the best looking I've seen.

The Medical Assistance and office staff are horrible. It took several phone calls to get a refill prescription on an SSRI refill that has withdrawal effects, and when they finally got it right they had a written script instead of calling it in to the pharmacy as I requested. I live 20 miles away. I had a bad reaction and thus gave the staff negative feedback. They didn't like this feedback and summarily discharged me. When I asked for medications to cover me until I got an intake at another doctors office they refused. They refused to provide me with my medical records, which is against HIPAA law. The PA that works there, Andrea Shaw, is great this in no way reflects upon her.

I've visited this clinic a few times for different issues and I've always been treated good. wait times are by far way better then an emergency room and the wait room has a comfortable feeling. Staff is young and still a bit self centered at times but still nice and welcoming. The Doctors are great, took their time to do the diagnostic and had many questions to to narrow down treatment. Yea ill be a return patient.

I've made several visits to Dr. Escandon. She has always treated me the greatest attention and care. She has improved my health a lot. She has also help me in another city out side of El Paso with a prescription I'd forgotten when I went on vaction. I would have had to cut my trip short, if Dr. Escandon had not helped me right away.

Adolfo Benitez MD
Dr. Benitez is a fantastic physician but his staff particularly those working his phone lines fail and sympathizing with his patients. Almost feels like you have to go to great measures if you want to either speak or see him. He definitely needs to better educate those working and representing him.

I had a great experience here. I was nervous about going to the doctor but I am glad I came here. Everyone was friendly, Doctor was very knowledgeable and the waiting wasn't even long. I would definitely come here again.
Tips & Advices
An osteopathic physician practices a comprehensive form of medicine that takes a holistic approach to a person's health. Instead of specializing in one system or set of organs, an osteopathic specialist focuses on the health of the total body. This includes evaluating environmental factors that affect a person's well-being.
Many family doctors deliver babies, especially in rural areas without a nearby OB/GYN. However, most family doctors only deliver for low-risk pregnancies and do not perform cesarean sections.
Family nurse practitioners are highly educated nurses able to provide medical care individually or with the assistance of another professional. Family nurse practitioners obtain a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and then take the National Council Licensure Examination to begin working as a registered nurse. Then, they continue their education and obtain a Master of Science in Nursing. Following that, they become certified in family practice via the American Nurses Credentialing Center of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, allowing them to become certified family nurse practitioners.
Some family doctors provide immunizations while others do not. Typically, doctors who work as part of a large practice are more likely to offer vaccines in-house. Doctors in offices of one to two physicians are more likely to refer patients to a public health department or other immunization provider.
A physician's assistant is a person qualified to perform routine medical services. This individual is professionally licensed and certified, but they may not have the extensive med school education of a doctor. That said, PAs do complete almost three years of postgraduate study and more than 2,000 hours of rotations.
