Yellow Cab
Best cab company in El Paso. NEVER an attempt to drive round about and gin up the fare, as I had with Independent Cab company on previous trip. Driver helpful, thoughtful and made leaving my grandchildren behind ALMOST not as sad as it was. I will never ever call any other cab company when in El Paso again. They are very trustworthy and that means the world to me. They have earned my loyalty and boy they were prompt getting there. I did not realize there were two streets in El Paso by the same name.................one being part of Ft Bliss housing, so I did not specify where i was. Boy that driver figured it out quickly, so I had hardly a wait at all and I arrived at the airport 15 minutes later, with plenty of time to spare. Don't waste time and a possible enormous fare from other nefarious companies like Independent Cab who charged me over 30 dollars, he turned the wrong way and even after I said this is not how we get to the airport, kept going in a large loop and drove for almost 35 minutes on a ride that should take less than 15!

Gemcon General Contractors
I had the exterior of my house painted and had wood that was replaced due to water damage. I was very pleased and satisfied with the work that was performed by Gerry Mijares and his crew. Gerry was on site and available throughout the entire process. Gerry and his crew were very punctual and worked diligently with and attention to detail. If there was anything that felt needed attention Gerry did not hesitate to accommodate me and make sure that I was satisfied. I had randomly selected Gemcon Contractors from an internet search and I am very glad that I ended up choosing a quality company. Honest, reasonable, reliable, and highly recommended.

Southwest Contractors
Don't know this contractors has such bad reports . . .they did my entire front and back yard xeriscaping and stamped colored concrete everything looks so well done. I highly recommend them. And I also did talk to David Delgado and asked him if it was true about him owning all three companies but he told me Desertaire is his and the other two companies are his two sons businesses. And I don't see what's wrong if he is helping them succeed in the line of professional business men... Once again I highly recommend there beautiful professional work. . . Can't judge them if you ain't seen there work. . .

Real, high Mexican Cuisine, in a find dining atmosphere. It was wonderful, I've had dinner in M.C. in Mexico many times and I've been there for breakfest, lunch and dinner several times there, it is the best I've eaten in Mexico, and the best I've eaten in El Paso.I recommend it completely! Unlike in Mexico, make sure you have reservations for dinner.

Handyman Matters
Called Martin for repairs on a chain link fence where a pole had been bent beyond repair. It had to be replaced. Called around town for immediate repair because of security concerns. Two weeks and three different companies later Martin shows up the following day after I called and did an excellent job at a great price. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!

Suncity Cab
Sun City Cab is a service that I have used for the past 3 yrs to be transported to and from work and anywhere else I need to be. I like that the taxi drivers call as he or she are driving up and pick me up in front of my house. They have picked me up regardless the element outside. Try it for yourself!

Tips & Advices
If there is ever a dispute regarding payment over the course of the project, a contractor or subcontractor could place a payment claim, or lien, on your property. To avoid this, ask the contractor to sign a lien release, which is a legal agreement that states that any payment accepted is final. This can come in handy if a contractor has his or her own payment issues with their subcontractors. Signing a lien release form certifies that any payment made by a client to the contractor is enough to pay for any goods or services rendered.
Absolutely ask. Paying too much up front offers the homeowner minimal leverage if the quality of work does not meet expectations or contractual specifications. Try to establish a reasonable pay schedule, such as paying 10 percent of the total cost for each 10 percent of the work that is completed. Include this payment plan in the contract, as well.
Before any money changes hands, there should be a contract to sign. Make sure the specifics of the work and all costs are listed in the contract, including details. If you forget to have something included in the contract after signing it, there's rarely a chance of recourse.
Ask the contractor for proof of their certification before signing anything, as well as their proof of insurance. You should also check your homeowners insurance policy to see if they offer coverage for contracted work. You may want to call your insurance provider and ask for more details on what your plan will and won't cover.
Yes. Plans for how the work site will be cleaned at the end of each day as well as at the conclusion of work need to be put in writing. An experienced general contractor should make every effort to keep the workspace clean and prevent dirtying or damaging any other area. Even so, talk with the contractor about the daily schedule, the logistics of transporting workers and equipment, and how cleanup will be handled.

Just a moment...
