I had just adopted a King Charles Caviler Spaniel the day before and she very much needed her nails trimmed and with her only 16 weeks of age I was scared to try it myself. The groomer by the name of Kathy was amazing and really was fun and personable. There was also a clerk that worked on that day, Sunday Sept. 21, she actually came in with the groomer to try and help for my puppy was so scared. She was very helpful regarding explaing petco's services. I will most definetly shop here on a regular basis.

Not happy at all. They charge ridiculous prices. Not so courteous, actually rather sharp tone. I asked for short cut and specifically around the face; they did what they chose to do and not even close to my request. Shame! Won't be back.

Pet owners usually sign a waiver stating that any injury or illness a dog suffers while at daycare is the responsibility of the owner. However, most facilities carry liability insurance and pet business insurance in the event of a serious incident. To prevent illness, facilities are strict about requiring proof of vaccination and general health from a veterinarian prior to accepting a dog. However, in an off-leash setting, scuffles or fights might occur. Reputable facilities will often hire vet assistants who can treat minor injuries and under-the-weather dogs.  For anything more serious, a good daycare should make it a priority to get the dog to a vet, and get in immediate contact with the owner.
