Had ultrasound done on gallbladder a year ago and showed it was only working at 11 percent and I also have a gallstone embedded. The Dr wanted to take my gallbladder out then but I wasn't hurting so I decided to wait.About 3 weeks ago it started to hurt me alot affecting my ability to work.I made an appointment to go and when I saw him I showed him where I was hurting radiating to back.He said I don't think its your gallbladder and that was it,no answers not anything so I guess I will wait until it hurts so bad that I go to emergency room and hopefully they will call in another dr to take care of the issue.Very disappointed!

I will never go here again. They only want to treat your symptoms, not the cause of your illness. They want you to come back if you don't feel better...guess that's how they make more money.

I meant to give them one star, I came on this site to make an appointment and saw that they accept credit cards, no mention of insurance.

This place has literally the worst medical care I have received to date. The Dr's were decent but no one in this building will explain test results or answer a single question. Wait times are absurd and they will not give you any sort of reasonable explanation why. I am currently taking test results to another primary care provider to get an explanation about the tests and the results that they had ordered. Honestly this place needs to be investigated and evaluated. Its pretty unreal that something with this low of a standard of communication even exists.

They helped my elderly father twice and filed his Medicare claim for him. They were courteous & gentle with him, and I appreciate having a resource like them in the community!

Doctors here are good. However, I was never told there would be a 3 hour wait until we had been waiting for 2 and a half hours already! We were about to get up and walk out! When I asked the receptionist how long it would be before they could see my brother, she said there is a 3 hour wait. When I asked why, she rudely said they had a lot of patients being seen and others waiting to be seen. As though I should have known. Why would it take 3 hours? That is the craziest thing I have ever heard in any doctors office! And being an in home care giver for more than 20 years, I have been in many!

The first time I went to see Dr. Patel I waited for 1 and a half hours before I just walked out. They waited untill I was in an office to try to get paperwork from another doctor! They knew about mu appt. a month before but waited untill I was there to get the necesary paperwok! VERY un professional! The other 2 times I got shots in my neck and lower spine, The doctor NEVER spent more than 3 minutes with me face to face, The nurse would prep me and he would rush in and give the shots! I hoped to spend at least a few minutes talking to my doctor before! The procedure was VERY painfull, and I was cursing slightly. After the procedure the Dr. told me how hard the procedure was for HIM !!!! Because of the pain I was in! I felt like I was supposed to apologize to HIM for MY pain! WTF! LOLVERY uprofessional and VERY uncareing!!!

Tips & Advices
Academic medical centers provide the widest range of specialty care treatments, including the latest technological advances, clinical trials, and surgical techniques. In general, an academic medical center is a better choice than a community hospital for complicated treatments or rare diseases. Pediatric intensive care, especially, is usually performed at academic medical centers.
Academic medical centers offer a broad range of specialized services, from allergists to urologists. Some of the larger medical centers have entire hospitals or clinics focused on a particular medical service, such as cancer treatment, though specialties vary among the centers. Patients whose community hospital or local doctors do not have the facilities or expertise to address complex medical conditions can be referred by their primary care physician or local specialist to a major medical center (there are more than a dozen in the United States).
Yes. In addition to their inpatient hospital services, medical centers can offer a wide variety of outpatient services, such as pain clinics, rehabilitation centers, surgery, imaging and laboratory, mental health treatment, and outpatient cancer treatment. Medical groups – doctors in private practice but affiliated with the medical center--will also have offices within the medical center.
Physicians, nurses, physician’s assistants, residents, and attending physicians makeup the clinical staff of an academic medical center.
Medical center accreditation is not required, but most centers work voluntarily toward accreditation because it represents higher standards of healthcare quality and patient safety.
