Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Drain Services
I had two upstairs toilets that were running water. I contacted Roto-Rooter on Monday evening (around 5 pm), assuming I would get a mid-week appointment. The lady that took the call was very nice and provided me with a few same day options! She told me someone would come out that afternoon and I would receive a call before the technician arrived. Five minutes after I hung up with her, another lady called me to let me know that the designated technician would be out within 30 to 45 minutes. The technician did arrive within that time frame and he was very professional, courteous and knowledgeable. He explained (thoroughly), what the issues were with each toilet and the best recommended way to fix the issues. He quoted me a price and showed me the breakdown of the costs. He also patiently explained the warranties and any other questions I had. He repaired both toilets within 25 minutes and the work was completed as if I had two new toilets! I recommend Roto-Rooter to anyone.

Drain Express
I had a problem with my Noritz tankless one morning. On the phone, Drain Express walked me through what to do but it still wouldn't work as the fix needed someone with the required expertise. Somehow I got lucky and Dickie said he could swing over soon. I was more then delighted as he quickly zeroed into the problem and even had the right part with him on hand. Most plumbers would have to order the part. The fix was done and I now have hot water again. After using so many plumbers over the years, Drain Express now goes to the top of my plumber list in my contact files. The Drain Express plumber was professional and overall a very nice guy. I will use him and highly recommend him.

Drain Express
I had a badly clogged drain in my kitchen sink caused by incorrectly installed plumbing by the contractor who renovated the building decades ago. Drain Express responded promptly to my request for service call and diagnosed the root cause of the problem. It meant opening up a wall to gain access to the drain pipe, replace it at the correct pitch, clean the remainder of the drain line and thoroughly tested the results. A complicated job done very well with courtesy and professionalism. The technician on the call was efficient and clearly explained the options, consequences and costs during the job.

Bull City Plumbing Heating and Air
Called Bull City after hours when an upper floor water heater failed. Tray responded quickly to seal off the problem and limit damage. He responded promptly with a quote to replace the damaged unit and arrived promptly on the day agreed to. He and his assistant removed the failed unit and installed the new one. Work was completed quickly with minimum inconvenience. 5 stars for expertise, professionalism and promptness. I would recommend Bull City Plumbing for any plumbing related work. Tray also recommended a company to address water damage caused by the failed water heater.

Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Drain Services
I had a clog in my main line that 3 different plumbers could not fix, even though they said it was fixed. Then I finally got fed up and called Roto-Rooter. The technician know right where the problems were, and fixed them promptly. No more drain problems. The only down side to my experience was the guy with the camera never showed up or called me when he was on his way (if he did show up). I don't know because one of the clogs was out in my yard, so he could have come without me having to be there. Its all good though. I give Roto-Rooter an A+

Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Drain Services
Had a leaking water pipe under the dishwasher on a Friday night. Called Roto Rooter and they came within 90 minutes with an initial assessor who was able to pinpoint the root cause of the leak and told me what the plumber would probably have to do to fix it. Then the plumber arrived within another hour, he managed to patch together a pipe clamp for the shut-off valve under the sink, and removed the defective copper pipe. Very courteous and very efficient even at the late hour of the night.

Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Drain Services
Had a clog and had a local plumber out to help, but he only had a 30' pipe snake. Call Roto Rooter and they had a person out the next day, showed up on time, was very courteous, removed the toilet and snaked out the clog, cleaned up after himself, was was on his way in less than 2 hours. Sent the camera crew out to verify that the blockage was resolved - clean bill of health. Great job guys!!

Drain Express
Drain Express was awesome. They diagnosed what was wrong, fixed and replaced toilet and facet. They didn't try to nickel and dime me. There were parts I needed that usually cost $20, which they supplied for free. Were on time and left no mess.

Faison Plumbing Plus
Excellent service, price and professionalism, he got the job done. The service was provided the same day not two days later. My water heater was replaced with one of higher quality and the workmanship is impeccable. This will be my plumber for life.

Drain Express
I have used Drain Express for many years for work large and small (including installing new sewer lines under part of my house, along with an external sewer pump). They have always been professional, courteous, punctual, and reasonably priced.
Tips & Advices
  • Are you licensed and registered?
  • Are you insured and bonded?
  • How many years have you been in business?
  • What, if any, professional associations do you belong to?
  • May I have a list of references?
  • Do you offer a written warranty for your work?
  • Will I need a permit for this work?
It is important to have a written warranty for any work or repairs done to the plumbing in your house, especially if it is a major repair. Look for a professional  who is willing to  stand by his or her work.
Before you hire a plumber, contact their past customers if you're able to. These people can be a wealth of information if you ask them the right questions. Pose the following queries to these former patrons when you get the chance:
  • Were you pleased with the work done?
  • Was the project completed on time?
  • Did the plumber give you a written warranty and guarantee his or her work?
  • Were there any unexpected costs that arose?
  • Would you hire this plumber again? If not, why?
A permit provides added assurance that the work is done correctly. Having this in place means an inspector will check the work your contractor or plumber does to ensure he or she did the job correctly. If you plan on putting your house or commercial building on the market, a real estate agent and prospective buyers will want to check any large work you did to make sure it was done properly.
A trustworthy plumber will have both commercial liability insurance as well as be bonded. The insurance and the bond protects the plumber from paying for any damages made to your house out of pocket. Having professionals that carry both of these policies can protect all of you from any mishaps that could occur while they work on your building.
