5410 Nc Highway 55 Ste Aj
We used the Picnic Basket for a catered lunch this past week and I am throughly satisfied with the ease of ordering, the delivery, the setup and taste of the food. We ordered a variety of sandwiches, fruit salad, baked potato salad and cookies/dessert bars - everything was eaten! Highly competative prices and great service! Will definately use again and again!
6905 Fayetteville Rd Ste 104
The catering at this location was outstanding. The delivery driver was ten minutes early and the presentation of the trays were second to none. After looking at the wonderful layout of the trays, we dug in and the food was top notch. I highly encourage trying the Tarragon Chicken Salad or the Italian Provision Panini.
7021 Nc Highway 751 Ste 901
The service was terrible. It took the lady 15 minutes to come take our order, and 15 minutes before she brung us our drinks. The food was delicious but it took forever for us to get service.

10.Guglhupf Bakery & Patisserie
2706 Durham Chapel Hill Blvd
Guglhupf's bakery is a feast for the eyes as well as the stomach! Gorgeous pastries, tempting breads, and tasty bretzels. \r \r If you can, go early in the day, by late afternoon, the selection is often very small, especially on Sundays after 2pm.\r \r In the cafe, they have yummy sandwiches and soups! check the LCD screen for daily specials. If you like cucumbers at all, get the cucumber salad. Another favorite is the bratwurst on bretzel sub with saurkraut.\r \r Be aware, it's very crowded at lunch, and around noon on weekends. \r \r Sunday brunch menu is tasty! if you've got more than 2 people, go ahead and get a brunch bread basket, as well, it'll get eaten!

11.Mad Hatter's Bake Shop
1802 W Main St
We would go here anytime! My family has gotten lunch there many times and the food has always been wonderful. They have a nice selection and healthy options for kids. Their baked goods are hard to beat, and they have a large variety of specialty cakes to order ahead of time. We often like to stop in and browse the variety of cakes they have already available and select one of our old favorites (the mint is amazing, and the ever present black and white is always a nice treat). I love scones, and their chocolate chip scones are exceptionally yummy - but due to the high demand their batches sometimes sell out fast.

Outstanding waitress, excellent food at a fair price. We dined on a Monday evening and it was lightly occupied so our server didn't have many tables to handle. The rosemary grilled chicken was outstanding. My wife had the orzo/seafood/spinach dish and it was extremely good with generous portions., The only problem was we were too full to try the desserts.

This is what a good old family restaurant is all about. They've got a huge menu, ranging from a turkey dinner with stuffing and mashed potatoes to breakfast anytime. I love this place. I wouldn't park in their dirt lot--just park down the street and walk a block or so. Also, don't expect to sit down right away, especially for breakfast on the weekends.
14.Brigs At The Park
4900 Nc Highway 55
Actually, I have yet to have a bad meal here at Brigs. Their breakfasts are off the charts, their omlets are unbelievable, and that's just breakfast...lunch...just as good if not even BETTER. For sure the ones to try are their Gyro, their Spinach salad, their trio plate, their broccoli salad, their chicken waldorf salad....should I go on? You will love this place. Great for conversations with one or three people. Excellent atmosphere to truly enjoy your meal. I highly recommend this place. Certainly give it a try.!
15.Blue Corn Cafe
716 9th St
In a word delicious. The Paella bowl was so full, I could bare eat it all. My wife and I were passing thru Durham late, heading home from a Thanksgiving celebration in WInston-Salem. Durham seemed like a good place to stop for dinner. We visited the Info Bureau on 15 and started looking around. We found the Blue Corn Cafe quite by accident and had a wonderful time. The Saturday nite special was the Paella. I'd certainly have it again, although the menu looked quite good and I might try something else.\r \r Our waitress; and I kick myself for not catching her name, was excellant. More than helpful and attentive; genuinely interested in the cafe and the goings-on in the area. She said she'd worked there for 10+ years from when there was a bookstore next-door. SHe was of medium height, slim with short dark hair; try to get one of her tables. Diffently 2 thumbs up to both the restaurant and to our waitress.\r \r I read the first 15 or so reviews, I found the older ""problem"" ones to be just that---older. Maybe there was something a year ago; but this past Saturday nite was excellant. Good enough for me to seek out he site and I'm from Maryand. \r \r
16.William's Gourmet Kitchen
2114 E Nc Highway 54
Limited menu but very yummy. Bacon-cheese burger is outstanding. Omelets and meat/egg/cheese sandwiches ditto. Excellent coffee. Very affordable.
2816 Cheek Rd
I can't say enough good things about this place. Ive been going every week for almost 2 years now, and it's always been great. The BBQ, brisket and ribs on Wed. ARE THE BEST!!!!
3536 Hillsborough Rd
We have eaten at George's quite a few times now and I am trying to tell everyone I know to check it out. I'm not sure what the last reviewer was on about (especially the references to money?) but we have had great experiences there. The staff are friendly and helpful, the restaurant is clean and fun (50s decor) and the food is delicious. We have had items from the dinner, breakfast and sandwich menus. I tried one Greek dish and can't wait to try some more. The atmosphere is casual and the prices are very reasonable. I don't understand anyone not enjoying the food there, because everything from omelettes to pancakes to sandwiches and the desserts have been great. Fresh ingredients, really good bread and rolls, nice meats and everything cooked perfectly. The spices are just right and we have enjoyed it all. The owners are Greek and seem very diligent about maintaining the level of service from their staff. That may come across as a bit standoffish or something to Americans, but it's probably just a cultural difference. They have been pleasant to us and the wait staff and hostess have always been wonderful. This is definitely a restaurant you and your family should try. The kids always love it!
1920 Perry St
Please don't listen to the reviewer who recommends two *chain* restaurants instead of this kooky, eclectic, awesome restaurant tucked away on 9th street. I can't think of a better place to grab a steak burrito at 1:30 in the morning, when only the perfect food will suffice. If you aren't comfortable with the old historic building appeal of the interior, then get the burrito to go, trust me, you won't be disappointed.
2010 Hillsborough Rd
We've eaten here a few times and it has been a wonderful experience on all occasions. The macaroni and cheese is phenomenal and could almost feed a small army. I usually get the steak and frites because it's very tasty and satisfies a large appetite. I really love this place and will continue to not only visit, but recommend to everyone! charming atmosphere and staff as well! Cheers!
21.Bullock's Bar B Cue Inc
3330 Quebec Dr
These folks are good! Especially Tommy Bullock, the owner/manager. I recently made a special order by phone from the Richmond area. First, my call was personally returned within 24 hours by Tommy. I explained I would be in Durham, NC for only a few hours and wanted my order ready by 5 PM. Even though the order was a special order and not on the menu, it was waiting for me when I arrived. The place was packed with customers! It was a Friday, yet my order was executed perfectly. Thanks again Tommy for a job well done!
3642 Shannon Rd Ste 1
Excellent food, excellent service! This is a ""Mom and Pop"" operation--Pop is the chef and Mom provides warm, friendly, and prompt service. The food is delicious, obviously prepared with great care and creativity. I am on a special diet, and most of the menu items included ingredients prohibited on my diet. I explained my needs and the chef created a special dish--absolutely delicious!--that fit perfectly into my dietary requirements. I have gone several times with family and friends who order from the menu and each of them has been enthusiastic about the food. For the quality of food and service, we find the prices quite reasonable. This is not your typical Mexican restaurant! Try it and you'll see! It's near the post office on Shannon St.--easy to miss but well worth the trip.
23.Serena Sicilian Influenced Gastropub
5311 S Miami Blvd Ste A
I am in the RTP for business on a regular basis and Serena's is the only place I go. The menu is authentic Italian/Sicilian and the food is outstanding. A full line of local brews on tap, along with a good bottle selection and top shelf liquor. Very good deserts as well and even fresh espresso to accompany them. This restaurant is privately owned by a very nice couple....just trying to make a name for themselves. Always very accommodating, with a staff that's great as well. So I'm not sure what provoked the last two reviewers situations.....Possibly the reviewers? All I can say is that I've always had a great experience at Serena whenever I'm in town. One word of warning....If you are looking for the Olive Garden or similar, then don't go to Serena. You will be totally bummed because the food has much, much more flavor than that!!! Trust me, you won't be disappointed. So if you live in Durham or visiting the RTP, then be sure to give Serena a try and tell them that KY Jeff sent you!
24.Bocci Trattoria & Pizzeria
5850 Fayetteville Rd
I live 25 mins from Bocci and I will drive there and back home with the wonderful brick oven pizza in hand. The drive is so worth it if you love a more ""authentic"" Italian style pizza. The sauce is amazing! Also, other dishes are very good as well -- including: lasagna and chicken parmigiana. Enjoy!

YOU MUST TRY THE SALMON SPREAD CREAM CHEESE, WITH THE SALMON FILET. THE ENHANCED\r FLAVOR WILL HAVE YOU COMING BACK FOR MORE. THE COFFEE IS'NT BAD EITHER. PLUS \r WHEN IN SEASON, THEY HAVE FRUIT IN A CUP. DON'T FORGET THEY ALSO HAVE COPIES OF THE\r MORNING NEWSPAPER. IF YOU HAVE'NT BEEN TO BRUGGER'S THEN TREAT YOURSELF. DON'T\r FORGET THE SALMON. : )

My husband's company uses Rick's for catering and is very pleased with the food and service. Recently, we hosted a corporate event at our home, and used Rick's for catering. I enjoy cooking and entertaining and don't use a caterer normally for such events - but after the great experience I had with Rick's on this event - I will be calling on them again and again! The food was excellent and the staff was extremely competent, professional, and courteous and required little to nothing from me during the event. I was free to socialize and enjoy our party without worrying about the food or cleanup.
27.Rick's Diner & Catering
3710 Shannon Rd
Today was our third and last time at the ""new"" restaurant. Service was abysmal and the kitchen took 30 minutes to throw 2 breakfast sandwiches together. When we finally got them, they were semi cold and had no dressing, only meat and bread. Rick's used to be our favorite breakfast and I'm sad to see it go downhill.
4810 Hope Valley Rd Ste 105
One of our favorite places to eat out. Casual, good service, good food, good beer selection. Great to sit outside on the not so hot days!
29.Bandido's Mexican Cafe
4711 Hope Valley Rd
Great food, large portions, good prices, friendly service.
30.Alivia's Durham Bistro
900 W Main St
There were so many things on the menu that looked great that I had a hard time choosing my lunch dish. I finally settled on the Spicy Chicken Sandwich with the chipolte ranch dressing. It was great! The salad I chose for my side was very fresh and tasty as well. \r \r The waitress was pleasant and attentive without hovering or becoming impatient when it took us a while to order.\r \r Give this restaurant a try for a nice casual lunch!
