Black Night Clubs in Durham, NC
1.Shooters II Inc

I have always been treated with the upmost respect from the owner and staff. Brian Davis is my cousin and I am so proud of him. When you need a place to have a special function, I truly recommend booking it at Shooters! They did an outstanding job for the fundraiser we had for my loving mother. Thank you all for a job well done! And thanks to Brian & Uncle Ron for performing under such difficult circumstances.

Went to Whiskey last night to give it another go. Again, pretentious bartender that thinks he is gods gift to cocktails when in actuality he has a really hard time making a halfway decent one. Asked for a Dark and Stormy and he said he couldn't make me one. I asked if that was because they don't have ginger beer and he said that it was because it's winter. That he'd be happy to make me one in the summer, but that he just can't bring himself to making one in the winter. Absurd. While a Dark and Stormy is a Bermuda born beverage, it is commonly viewed as a versatile drink that can warm winter months and refresh summer ones... And, regardless, I love daiquiris too (because they are delicious) and if I want one in February, why can't I drink one? Anyway, even if it was more of a summer drink... Does it really pain you so much to poor some ginger beer and dark rum in a glass for me in the winter... Does it also pain you to put ice in drinks in the winter? Does it pain you that we are not all drinking toddies? If it does, you should find another job.

THE PUB OFFERS GREAT FOOD (NOT JUST BAR FOOD). THEY HAVE LIVE MUSIC EVERY THURSDAY, PUB BINGO, NAME THAT TUNE NIGHT, PUB TRIVIA AND GUEST BARTENDER ON A MONTHLY BASIS. THE STAFF IS FRIENDLY AND REMEMBER THEIR REGULAR CUSTOMERS. INSIDE CAN GET A LITTLE SMOKEY, HOWEVER THEY HAVE A GREAT COVERED PATIO THAT HAS FANS TO KEEP YOU COOL. THE DESSERTS ARE AWESOME. EVEN THOUGH THEY HAVE A LIMITED MENU, THEY OFFER QUITE A BIT OF SPECIALS EVERY DAY. THE PRICES ARE IN LINE WITH OTHER RESTAURANTS IN THE AREA. THEY OFFER A NUMBER OF SPECIALTY DRAFT BEERS AND THEY PRICE THEIR DOMESTICS AT $2.50. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS NEIGHBORHOOD PUB.

I was in the Durham area this weekend and mosied into The Federal solely based on the Yelp attention this joint has received. The reviews were dead on ? delicious, beautiful food disguised within a dark, vintage dive bar. In retrospect, neither I nor my lunch mate had any complaints about our lunch ? everything was perfect. As directed, we started lunch with an order of ?Fed fries? ? cut potatoes tossed in an oil/garlic/parsley mixture ? good balance, the herbs were not overpowering and we easily polished off the entire basket. \r \r My lunch mate and I split the chicken sandwich & grilled cheese sandwich. The chicken was so tasty! ? The Federal can really work with herbs. They don?t monopolize the entree, but subtly highlight flavors in the food. I didn?t ask for any accessory sauce ? which is usually the cause w/chicken, so truly tasty marinade. The grilled cheese was introduced as the menu favorite by the waitress ? if I was still vegetarian I would have been turning cartwheels, but the chicken sandwich was undeniably superior. Both sandwiches were grilled like paninis (my fav) and were generously garnished with tomatoes, avocado and spring greens. The side mixed green salad was selected as our sides, since we carbed up earlier. Beautiful greens ? there?s always something elegant about mixed baby greens with balsamic dressing ? a bit out of place considering The Fed?s motif, but delicious none the less. \r \r The Fed featured several beers on its chalkboard, and by the traffic in&out to its barstools ? its a decent little bar for a drink(s).\r \r Overall: Raleigh > Durham? but The Federal definitely has it going on? stop in.

There were so many things on the menu that looked great that I had a hard time choosing my lunch dish. I finally settled on the Spicy Chicken Sandwich with the chipolte ranch dressing. It was great! The salad I chose for my side was very fresh and tasty as well. \r \r The waitress was pleasant and attentive without hovering or becoming impatient when it took us a while to order.\r \r Give this restaurant a try for a nice casual lunch!

Went for the first time before a Bull's game and had a great experience! It was a little loud, but the overall atmosphere was very warm and inviting. Looking around us everyone was having a good time including kids! That's right, kids! Tyler's is obviously very kid-friendly. I had the pork special and my husband had the carolina burger. Both were awesome! It was not a hard sell to get my husband to go with the variety of beers that they offer (all of which are served in their own glass!). I only wish we had one in Raleigh! I definitely recommend going if you haven't been before.

Nantucket has been a frequent dinner location for my boyfriend and I. The one on Fayetteville St (which is our favorite) has a nice atmosphere, along with some great weekday specials. They offer 1/2 off bottles of wine and beer on Thurs and free dessert (their cakes are to die for btw) on Tuesdays. The food is reasonably priced, and the staff have always been super friendly. Also, try the lobster bisque!

I love Devines. we go there a lot. If they really like you they will invite you to their secret holiday party. You can watch all the NFL games here and drink for very cheaply. The best deal used to be the Miller Lite Tallboy cans, served with a frosty glass. I think they raised the price recently though. and I haven't done a cents per ounce analysis lately. whatever. They also have some fancier beers on tap, if that's the way you swing. The food is good, there is always a sandwich/soup special. There is no place I'd rather go to drink (and watch sports) anywhere in the entire world.

I've had the great pleasure of eating at Dain's maybe half a dozen times in the last few months, and have yet to find a weakness. Sure the place isn't big enough to handle the business that the food deserves, but the burgers are just SICK: half a pound, great cheese & condiments choices, buns are great, mmmm. Add to that fries without peer (get the monstrous side basket if you've got 3 or more to share) and a great selection of micro-brews, and you've basically got the perfect burger meal. While burgers headline, other choices are good also (chicken tenders, pirogis, salads, etc.). Another thing I love about Dain's is they're always playing my kind of music, which I guess I'd better not identify in case somebody's taste isn't quite so good... ;0)

Its easily my favorite hole-in-the-wall in Chapel Hill. its a great place to duck into with a few friends or on a date. The bartenders (especially Rose) are amazing (Doug and Tim too). I almost hesitate to write a review because I don't want every one going there! But, yeah, totally worth it, good times, good drinks, and good specials.
