Wonderful experience, Mikes and his team are great, I will always take my truck to Mike's. always greeted with a smile. I have been a service advise for over 30 years so i know the scoops. Mike is fare in pricing and the repairs he has done to my 1996 Ford Bronco have been top notch. And no finger prints left behind. I have given Mike and his team some pain in he butt repairs and he still smiles when I pick up my truck. Absolutely will steer my friends and family to Mike's Alternative Auto Repair Shop. the best I have encountered ever. Thanks again Mike to you and your teamLynne

I got my 2005 VW Jetta with 33 thousand miles and couldn't be happier with the car, my tires were the originals with plenty of tread life left but had some dryrot from age when one went out and I brought it to their attention they went out of their way to replace all 4 not just the blown one. Amazing people and great customer service

My family has been using Mike's for 10 years. I recently took my BMW M-series to another shop and they provided me a list of 'needs' that exceeded $6,000 (including a leak where there wasn't). I took my car to Mike and he went through the list and my car. Explain what was needed and what he felt was unnecessary repairs. Bottom line, I trust Mike and his crew!

I have had multiple vehicles repaired here for over 15 years. The prompt and professional care given each and every time has impressed me. The service people never try to repair things that are just fine, as is the case at other repair shops. Prices are always extremely reasonable and the work has always been done to my best satisfaction. I can't recommend them enough to anyone needing automotive repair!

Would give a 0. Worst cars to buy. Go somewhere else. Sells cars that die right after warrenty or will cost a lot to fix

Always great service. They take the time to explain what needs to be done and why, and don't try to add on needless replacements and services like the dealerships and other service stations tend to do. Prices are very fair and the hours of labor charged seem spot on rather than padded as I've seen elsewhere. Have recommended this shop to others, who've also been very satisfied.

The moment I stepped in this place, I immediately felt like this was the place. A woman came outside and showed me around and I got a great car with low miles for my family and I. I would definitely recomend this place. Everyone very helpful and made me feel super comfortable. They really worked with us to make things easier on us. So, today I drive a nice car with low miles and don't have to worry about. I give this place stars.

I was heading to another car dealer & had been told not to buy a car here by a co-worker. Am I glad I didn't listen ! That was 1 month ago & I love my car !! I only stopped because I saw the car I wanted in the lot & thought it couldn't hurt to look. Not only did I get treated great I also got everything I wanted at a fair price. My credit is so bad that I went almost 4 yrs without a car. Not only are they helping repair my bad credit the salesman made sure I felt comfortable driving again & let me practice in an empty lot.
Tips & Advices
Crank grinding is a process that's done to improve the performance of a car's engine. The crank is a key part of the engine, and it bears the brunt of force created by the engine's combustion and the downward motion of its pistons. In crank grinding, a grinding wheel is used to grind and polish parts of the crank that are rough and worn.
Auto engine rebuilding is the process of refurbishing an old or damaged car engine. In this process, the engine is removed from the vehicle and completely disassembled, and components like the O rings, bearings, and gaskets are replaced. The key advantage offered by auto engine rebuilding is that it's less expensive than replacing an old engine with a new one.
Wheel grinding involves using a grinding wheel to refurbish certain engine parts for reuse. Wheel grinding is often used on the crankshaft, and this involves using the wheel to remove materials from the part's main and rod journals. Wheel grinding is usually applied to the crankshaft if the part's journals have suffered wear that makes them no longer smooth.
A valve job is a procedure that's performed to improve the functioning of a four-stroke engine. A valve job involves resurfacing the areas of the engine's poppet valves and valve seats that make contact. Valve jobs are mainly performed on high-performance vehicles, but they might be necessary on standard passenger cars that have experienced overheating, material failure, high mileage, or foreign object damage.
Automotive machine shops repair and rebuild car components. They offer services like cylinder head rebuilding, crankshaft grinding, rod reconditioning, radiator repair, cracked head and block repair, and the welding of metals on all parts of your car. Automotive machine shops also offer block and jug boring, as well as mill, lathe, and press work.
