Don't go there. The service department claimed fluid flushes were required maintenance and overdue, when my car was in for ABS repair.I am very disappointed in Northstar Ford, and feel I was tricked into buying "maintenance" that really was an expensive and unnecessary option, costing me almost $900! I certainly lost my trust in that dealership.

I had a great experience at CarHop! I was in and out within an hour, and they were very customer friendly. I highly recommend checking them out if you're in need of a vehicle, they are a lot of help.

The service department at Northstar Ford is something to be desired. I have dealt with them on 4 separate occasions with HORRIBLE service each time. The staff is friendly and has been able to accommodate appointments, but the turn around time on my vehicle has been no less than 7 days each time!! I am a traveling salesman and without a vehicle I am landlocked in Duluth. Each and every time I have been up there for service, there has been a 2-4 delay on the necessary parts for the repair. Not to mention, the service manager and administrative assistants are horrible about following up on the status of your vehicle. You have to call them back repeatedly each day to get an update, not them being proactive and giving you an update. All in all, if you are looking at a Ford vehicle from Northstar Ford, I would look elsewhere. The vehicle itself might be a good value, but if (when) something goes wrong with it...and it will...the service department is what makes them a terrible value. **BUYER BEWARE**

I have been there twice and both times they did not even touch my car until over an hour after my appointment time. Repairs can be done MUCH cheaper if you shop around. I only went back a second time because I HAD to have recall work done at the dealer. Think twice about buying a vehicle from them because the years of dealing with their service department will drive you crazy. Oh yeah, they are less than friendly in addition to having no respect for their customers' time.

Kev is a shyster. Bought a vehicle from him this spring, upon getting it home it started leaking quite a bit of oil. Brought it to my mechanic, turned out the cam seals and crankshaft seal were leaking all over the timing belt/serpentine belt/alternator and had been patched up with silicone caulk! He told me he had done the timing belt (a selling point to me) but did a very poor job - the oil pump had been cracked and welded back together on top of all this, the timing cover was cracked, and the chain inside was loose. All said and done it had to have the timing belt job all redone in addition to all the other stuff wrong, which added up to $1500. I called and talked with him, and didn't even accuse him of anything, just informed him of what I found and asked him what he knew about it, and he immediately began raising his voice and swearing at me. He was very unprofessional with me over the phone, meanwhile I kept my cool and was nothing but polite on my end. He didn't do a thing for me, and pretty much told me to get lost. That is proof enough that he KNEW EXACTLY that he was trying to pull one over on me. DO NOT buy a car from this guy.

I called for months to get the title with no response at all. Other life issues came up and I was not able to call everyday. I'm a single mom. There were repairs that were suppose to be done as per the purchase agreement that weren't. I started calling again in 2010 with no response again. I have called off and on in 2011-2012. I have not been able to drive the car in almost 3 yrs. I couldn't sell it either for lack of title so I couldn't get a car for me and my daughter. I've borrowed my parents car off and on over the years. I started calling again in April 2013 calling 4-6 times a day and leaving message after message. I have not received a phone call from Diane. I speak to the wonderful lady who answers their phone she has taken so many messages from me that we chat when I call. She has expressed to me that when she tells Diane I called and tries to find out what's going on Dianes' response is "yeah I'll get to it" .. I have spoke to the DMV and they told me several times that they can not do anything about this. That it was simply Diane didn't finish the paperwork. Diane did call on June 11, 2013 at 6 in the morning. That too is very unprofessional. I called back right away when I got up at 8 and spoke to a guy who answered. He said she wasn't there and I told him she called from this number at 6am but left no message on my phone. Consumer's Desired Resolution:At this point since the title was never transferred and I have been waiting 4 years without even a call back from this woman I will bring back the car and they can refund me $2300.00..
