i had a WONDERFUL experience with this company! The man who came out to do my estimate was so friendly...and funny! He was able to give me and my husband a quote right on the spot! How convenient! I used to get all of my annuals and hanging baskets from places like Lowes or Wal-Mart, but now I go exclusively to Schoenbrunn Gardens for anything I need. Great customer service and friendly, timely service at affordable prices

A week after I called to arrange to have a tree removal estimate done I find a business card with illegible scribbling on the back on my front door. The next day someone is an unmarked truck comes to the house before we were even awake, I just happened to hear him slam his door in my drive way. I asked him why he doesn't call and make an appointment like everyone else he said "i guess I just don't work like everyone else." He cussed a lot and normally I wouldn't mind that but his estimate was DOUBLE what the other tree companies quoted and if you want me to pay you over a grand to cut down two trees you best be on your best behavior. Also he had apparently stopped out several times over the weekend but he had my contact information. I was in and out all weekend sure but he made me feel like he was casing out the pace. All sorts of bad vibes, bad communication, and was completely trying to rip me off.
Tips & Advices
Employers must conduct all required training in a language and vocabulary that workers can understand. Training must demonstrate the hazards of operating certain machinery, like stone cutters and splitters, as well as how to use them appropriately. It's important to verify that your landscape contractor has taken the necessary steps to fully train its personnel and that the appropriate safety precautions are in place.
Check the specific regulations for your area, and verify that your contractor has the necessary licenses. These may include a state contractor's license, pesticide license, CDL driver's license and license to sell and purchase nursery stock.
Landscape work is not cheap, so it's in your best interest to make sure that it's done to your requirements and that you get the best contractor to do the job. Homeowners should know how much they'll need to pay for the contractor's service as well as how they will be billed for this work. Ask about any design fees, if quoted prices are fixed or estimates, and what the payment process will be. Clarifying these items in the beginning will prevent any surprise expenses.
Yes. Homeowners should require that the contractor submit certificates verifying compliance with safety, insurance, workers' compensation and drug and alcohol testing programs. This will give you peace of mind that the contractor has gone through all the steps under industry regulations.
Yes. Every good contractor should have a list of recently completed jobs that you can see in their portfolio. They should also have a list of references that you can contact, or properties that you can see in person.
