There are not enough English words to express how I feel about Michelle, Tom, and Bow Wow Petique. Our Bichon, Noel, had her first cut and groom when she was 12 weeks old there. She has never been to anyone else. At a puppy age she fell in love with them and is so excited to go each month. Noel learned to be socialized having the opportunity to play with all breeds large and small. She is 12 years old and the mention of Michelle and Bow Wow her head goes from side to side and the tail wags happily. It is possible to see responses in the pets behavior either going to or coming from Bow Wow to know they have had a "Play Day" and not just a groom. Bow Wow Petique is a Friendly place for pet owners as well as the furry ones. Pet owners should let the Pets do the talking instead of doing it for them. Bichons are difficult to groom because of the cut. Noel looks like a Bichon instead of a Poodle like I have noticed from other places. Bow Wow, we love you!

Michelle and Tom are the best dog groomers in town. They do a wonderful job of shampooing and cutting and know the various cuts for different type dogs. They have a great understanding and knowledge of dogs. They genuinely care about the those who come to them and each one is sent home with a spiffy bandana around their neck. Their place of business is a small but quaint house right off the highway which is easy to find and parking is never a problem. The place is clean and well kept and Michelle is always coming up with interesting decorations for everyone to enjoy.

Bow Wow is a wonderful grooming business. I have owned pits all my life, most of them have been rescue dogs. The owners of this business love all dogs as if they were their own. If someone was told that they would not do pit bulls, it was for a good reason. Bow Wow always has my dogs health and safety at heart. They will not do anything to jeopardize the safety and the enviroment that the dogs are in. they are highly recommended by veterinarians and other groomers in the area. By all means take your loved one there and you will experience and feel the love that they have for their profession.

That is bull about Bow Wow Petique not wanting to groom pit bulls because they are agressive dogs!! I have been taking all my dogs there for years. The owners are the greatest groomers! They treat my dogs with love and affection. I have seen large dogs in their facitity and those dogs are very well mannered. They love all dogs. I have been rescuing pits for years and Bow Wow has done some gooming on them. When I first rescued them their shots were not current so they were not allowed in their place of business. Which is a good thing. Every dog that they have groomed for me is absolutely beautiful. They do great work. When I read the review that spoke badly of their business I felt propelled to respond because Bow Wow uses good judgement and are professionals.

Bow Wow Petique is the best dog groomer! This business is cage free, meaning that the dogs are not kenneled or caged before or after being groomed. Bow Wow has clipped the nails of all 4 of my pit bulls and has done an excellent job. My pits are not vacinnated with kennel cough so they were not allowed in their facility. I praise the owners for that. This way I know that my other dog (a poodle) is safe and not exposed to dogs that are not current with their vaccinations. Also, I do not know of a small pit. Even when mine were puppies they were still big but were playful. Most large dogs of that nature do not realize their own size because all they want to do is play and be loved. I can personnaly say that I have been taking my dogs to Bow Wow for more than 10 years and there has never been any problems. The owners care for all their dogs as if they were their own. Trust me this business does not discriminate against any breed od dog. If you want the top of the line for your pet take them to Bow Wow Petique!

We have had many experiences with Bow Wow and find them to be consistently patient (especially with my oldest dog who can be a handful) and intelligent in their approach to our dogs Michelle and Tom are always friendly and professional and take great pride in administering the care of my furkids needs! I love the cage-free atmosphere and my little ones love playing with the other (4-legged) kids that are there for the day! There isn't anyone else that I would trust to give the same love and care to my babies that i give them myself.. I would absolutely recommend Bow Wow to anyone looking for the best groomers in town!

I was very upset with the professionalism of this place. When I brought my puppy there she did not volunteer to hold her while I went to get a paper from my car. (She did not have the right vaccine records.) When I said who I was, she said, I know- do you have the shot records? in a rude tone. While waiting my puppy was excited to see the other dogs, but they were barking and growling at her. My puppy was a little hesitant to go in and I told Michelle she was a little scared, to which she said no she's not. Even though the other dogs were misbehaving, she called my puppy destructive because she was pulIing on the leash. I noticed that she did not take the harness off gently. She has complained of it being hard to bathe her, but other people, my husband and I seem to have no issues with this. If you have a puppy or excitable dog I would not recommend bringing your dog to this place because apparently they cannot handle them. When I confronted her about this she would not talk to me about the issues and was very rude.
Tips & Advices
Many people fear that their pet will be injured at the groomer, but incidents of serious injury are infrequent. For minor injuries , it is appropriate the groomer pay the vet bill, and can usually be worked out between groomer and owner. For moderate to severe injuries, you can attempt to activate groomer’s liability insurance to cover medical expenses. However, be aware that most groomer contracts stipulate that the business does not assume responsibility.
Staff at groomers know that there is inherent risk when handling animals, and they are familiar with being snapped at or bitten. However, it is not a normal occurrence or something you should ignore. Many people choose to cover medical expenses or pay extra--at minimum, apologize and get the dog into behavior classes. It is a given that  you should sedate or muzzle the animal for all future grooming sessions.
It is always recommended to make an appointment to get your pet groomed. While some groomers, especially in the larger pet stores, can accommodate with short notice, popular neighborhood groomers are often booked out two weeks out or longer on weekends.
If your pet has sensitive skin, let the groomer know when you set the appointment. But be aware, all dogs have sensitive skin by human standards--their skin is much thinner. Therefore, you should be on the lookout for signs of sensitivity, and reduce it through regular grooming with gentle, natural shampoo and conditioner. Oatmeal shampoo is a favorite. Daily brushouts and omega oil supplements are recommended for every day at-home care.
For various reasons including insurance clauses and pet-owner relationship dynamics and behaviors, groomers prefer owners don’t stay with their pets while being groomed.
