Alltech Transmissions & Auto Care
They claim to have towing, but would not come to get my car. they put me off three times, we are short handed, we need to make an appointment, the manager will call you back (what mechanic ever calls you back?) then the owner was supposed to call me back! nobody ever called me back. then Melissa said they will not be able to work on my car after a week of being stalled around. All I need is a oil pump change, they said they could do it for $450 + parts about $600-i got no problem with that, just tell me when. first, it was Tuesday, then Friday then Monday. go to h___ Alltech!

Moto Cancelli
Do not do business with Chris Cancelli. I paid for a set of race axles and got nothing but excuses as to why they have not been delivered. No longer answers my emails or phone calls. Wait time has now turned into years.

Butch's Trans & Automotive
Butch and Josh just installed a transmission on my 1993 GMC I was more than happy with there excellent work and speed that my truck was ready fast they have been servicing my Trans for years and are very knowledgeable in other technical skills in fact years back I told my friend about them so we went to visit them well what they found was a bad ignition coil which was making the Trans to buck up and down they didn't even want to charge him for letting us know the problem but of coarse we tipped them after saving us to replace the Trans let me tell you most Trans shops would have cleaned up the Trans and billed my friend for a total rebuilt now this shop is one that you can trust so in our opinion this is the BEST transmission shop in the U.S.A. again thanks guys the honest work and being a good old boy type of shop. God bless! Roland

Dickinson Kwik Kar
Went in for an inspection. When finished while driving out of the parking lot my dashboard light lit up and my car shut off. Manager Maximo said I would have to pay an $80 diagnostic fee for them to check it. I told him I didn't agree with the price and he told me not to come back.

Alltech Transmissions & Auto Care
We were very pleased with Alltech Transmissions in Dickinson, Texas. These guys went out of their way to get us our car as fast as they could. Marv. went out of his way to come pick us up as we had to return our rental car and we appreciated all he did for us. He helped us get a loan, so, that we could afford to get our vehicle fixed. We appreciate you guys. Great Job Guys. We would recommend your business to friends, etc. Thanks for all the hard work Marv and also we honestly appreciate you going out of your way to help us......Kent P.

Alltech Transmissions & Auto Care
A small, local business owner that does excellent work. Best prices I have found on transmission rebuilds. The cost of a carryout remanufactured transmssion is more at the local autoparts store than this guy rebuilding it and installing it and giving a great warranty.

Hoke's Auto Repair Inc
I tried these guys after having continued poor service elsewhere in town. The times that I'd had service done at Hoke's, it had been fairly major. On every visit, I had been given a fair price and the work had been done correctly and honestly. In fact, on one visit, the bill was actually less than quoted due to a new part that ended up not being needed.I did have one issue with the last repair job. A couple days after getting my car back, I found a leak related to the repair that they had done. I drove over to Hoke's to see what they would say about it. This was the first time that I had any problem so I had no idea how they would handle it. They took the car in immediately while I waited and within about 5 minutes they let me know what they found. They said it would take a couple of hours to fix and gave me a ride home. This was right before closing time on Friday afternoon so I didn't expect my car back until some time on Monday. I was surprised two hours later when they delivered my car back to my home and filled me in on the repair. There was no charge and I've had no problems since. So, I have nothing bad that I can say about Hoke's. Even the leak turned out to be a pinched seal that they couldn't have seen until the leak started. They've been friendly, honest, and even stayed open late to fix my problem. The ride home that they gave me and then having my car delivered to my home was an unexpected bonus, too. I would give them better than 5 stars if I could.
Tips & Advices
You should change your oil filter whenever you change your oil, that is, approximately every 7,500 miles.
A oil filter is a device that helps remove contaminants from motor oil as it passes through the engine. A pump pushed the oil through the filter where it is strained and goes back to the engine.
High-mileage oil contains special conditioners that are said to help prevent gaskets from drying out and thus preventing leaks. This can be beneficial to engines with many miles on them.
Synthetic oil costs more than conventional oil, but the price is offset by the need for less frequent oil changes due to the oil’s durability.
Tools needed to change your own oil include jack stands or ramps, a wrench, an oil filter wrench, an oil drip pan, funnel, replacement oil filter, and replacement oil.
