Modish Salon
The salon was very nice and clean. Tangie is very down to earth and great at holding a conversation. I felt very comfortable chatting with her and her daughter while getting my hair done. I went to her for a wrap. It was a Sunday and all other salons were closed. She normally doesn't work Sundays but said that she would do my hair if I came :) I appreciated that. She is very knowledgeable about hair care so I received many tips on how to maintain my hair. My hair is just past my shoulders (but not even close to the middle of my back) and I was charged extra for its length. I've never had a stylist do that. I came with my hair already washed and blow-dryed, and I still was charged $40. Normally my wraps are $40 with a conditioning wash included, so I expected to pay cheaper. That was my biggest issue. Also, she used a pressing comb. My normal stylist only uses flat irons and it produces a shinier result. I prefer it that way because its less heat and less damaging. She used the comb in addition to the flat irons. This caused heat to rush to my scalp unfortunately. I expected more shine but she did a great job at straightening my hair. I rated the experience 3 stars because of the price and pain.

Trendy Styles
The first time I experienced Trendy Styles was when I needed a last minute outfit. My sister told me that new shop opened up right down the street near the N. John C Lodge Fwy. I was excited to contact them and see if they were available. Sunday after 7 p.m. I had a unexpected dinner party. ( no over an hour away) no later than 10 min. This girl Niece' at the shop were so accommodating; She opened the shop for me and they were closed @ 7... She offer me some water as we discussed my idea wear what I wanted. I' am size 18... She cater to all women size...after all the different choice's... She still managed to get me out on time. I loved outcome and I received many compliments that day ! Hair salon coming soon .. I can't wait to go back in a few weeks.. The girl listen to your needs ..She's beautiful ...I recommend Trendy Styles one stop shop under one roof !!!

Modish Salon
This salon is very well organize and clean. All stylists are neat, professional and have the most respect for their clients.Tangie is a very kind and respectable person. Truly professional, creative stylist while at the same time managing her staff with the utmost quality of professionalism. I cannot say anything bad about her personality, because she cares about everyone who comes in her present. I have seen the best at the Modish beauty salon in Detroit.

Mel's Beauty Salon
Mel's has been a Detroit fixture for over 40 years. In the 70's Mels was located on 2nd and Lothrop across from Saks 5th ave. Mel was using the wrapping technique in the 70's giving the hair volume, body, and texture. Mel was known for coloring and cuts, she was light years ahead of her time. Still is.

Modish Salon
So hard to find a hair salon without a wait. It's one hair stylist Tangie, a Nail Tech and a Loctician, and they ALL get there clients in and out. Seems like every visit soon as I arrive I get in the chair within 5-10 mins of arriving. Always satisfied when I'm done. Highly recommend

This hair is excellent, I love it. Every Client that I have put an installment in for, they purchased this hair and they really really love it and I am very well pleased. And when I color the hair, the texture of the hair never changes. You are guaranteed its life span of 18months.
Tips & Advices
Homeowners can purchase carpet cleaners ranging from compact units to full-size industrial-strength machines. Some models specialize in removing allergens from pet hair, while others may work better on tough stains. Some carpet cleaners can be bulky and require ample storage space. Other features you may want to consider for in a cleaning unit include: attachments that work on upholstery, stairs, bare floors, or small spaces; brushes; and a removable hose.
Renting is usually much cheaper than owning a machine or hiring a service. But not all rental units perform equally, some might require extra drying time or the use of special solvents that will cost more. - Renting a unit means you must also move furniture yourself and pay close attention to ensure you're operating the unit correctly. Making a mistake could mean damaging your carpet or the unit itself. Improperly drying carpet could allow harmful bacteria and mold to grow.
Yes. This may involve specifying exactly what services you would like performed, as well as the size of your home's carpeted area. Make sure you understand exactly what is included in a quoted price. Some businesses may charge extra to move furniture, clean stairs, or use special treatment methods. Ask questions if any detail about the quote is unclear.
Decide which method you want to use by taking into consideration not only cost, but how long the process will take from start to finish, including drying time. Don't always go with the service offering the lowest price, or hire a service who advertises door-to-door or over the phone, unless you have done thorough research on them. Ask if the company conducts background checks on employees, as well as if they are insured in your state. Without liability insurance, a mistake that results in damage to your home or furniture may be your responsibility to pay for.
Using powerful solvents to break down dirt and stains, dry cleaning puts less physical stress on the carpet, and thus might be better in the long run. However, dry cleaning is usually more expensive than hot-water cleaning services. In addition, the chemicals used to dry clean carpets might irritate pets, people with sensitive skin, or anyone sensitive to strong odors.
