Great Smiles Family Dentistry
[Update] Summary review: Great Service, Great Staff, No pain or Discomfort. Needs to pay a bit more attention to patients description of the discomfort the patient is experiencing in addition to the professional diagnosis. IMO. I just feel the patients description should be note and the solution should be based around that description. Although they shown great professionalism, I feel working a bit more with the patient will greatly improve the experience. My rating is based on the fact that multiple persons including dentist examined by ex-ray & observation and completely mis-diagnosed the problem 3 times, but a $8 Dental Mirror + my own eyes spotted the problem instantly!I made 3 visits to this office for a severe toothache in my First Molar (so bad I thought it was also my Lower Canine) and underwent ex-rays and exams by the Assistants AND Dentist to determine the cause. I was told I needed a "Root-canal" (offered at a great/low price) on a Lower-Canine and was given a prescription for Antibiotics & Motrin, only to find later by Self observation with a Dental kit purchased at a local CVS that the issue was actually a simple Cavity on a the First molar. I rubbed Orajel directly on the cavity (pics uploaded) and the pain ceased.I used a dental mirror to view the affected area(In addition: This Dentist gave me a few tooth fillings the I was told should last 2-10 years, but fell out in 3 days.)On the Plus side, I never feel pain at this office, they numb the area Thoroughly! They are very professional. ______________________________________________________________________I went for my first visit Today and was pleasantly surprised by the level of professionalism. I came in for a cavity filling and left with a new aesthetically pleasing smile. Seriously! Sherman "Sherman's On The Case" Allen D.D.S. did months worth of dental work in less than 45 minutes. Great Smiles Family Dentistry saved me so many visits to the dentist. They made me feel at home and as if it were actual family members doing the dental work. I got tooth extractions and felt NO Pain! ZERO Pain. Needless to say I Highly, HIGHLY recommend n D.D.S.Great Smiles Family Dentistry: Allen Sherman D.D.S. Thank you so much.

Krawiec Stephen J DDS PC
Recently (11/13/12), I needed to have some normally painful dental work done but wanted to use a dentist located in our city and not part of some huge franchise organization. Searching, I found Dr. Krawiec on Grand River and called the office. Incredibly, I was greeted a wonderfully pleasant receptionist. It was her positive and up-beat spirit which made an incredible first impression so I went in. Man was I impressed. The reception area was neat and the front office staff were happy and friendly. When it came time to meet the dentist, the senior Dr. Krawiec came in and spent a good 10-15 minutes explaining what he was about to do. I was blown away...he seemed to care! Then came time to have the work done and a very pleasant professional dental assistant came and set things up. Then a younger Dr. Krawic, the son (he looked like he was 12 years old figuratively) and pleasant dental assistant were incredible in doing the surgery. I felt no pain and both young Dr. K and the assistant were genuinely concerned during every aspect of the procedure whether I was comfortable. Without hesitation, I would urge any person, city or suburb needing dental procedures to seek out Drs. Krawiec as both they and their entire staff were simply great. Oh by the way, did I mention the staff was entirely African-American and that my root canal was painless....well they were and it was and I loved it!! Go Krawiec dental you folks rock!...Tom Barrow

Grand River Family Dentistry, P.C.
Grand River Family Dentistry-I have never been to such a professional, courteous and clean dental office. Every time I visit the office, everyone is extremely professional. They all seem eager to make my visit as simple as possible. I’ve been recommending the office to everyone I know.People always tell horror stories about their visits and telling you where not to go. So I’ve been telling everyone where to go. I have been neglecting to go to the dentist because of the chaos I always had to deal with in other offices. However, in the two months I have visited your office, I look forward getting my procedures done. It even makes me feel better than I’ve previously felt about paying out of pocket, because I feel like the doctor and the staff deserves the respect and MY MONEY!

Grand River Family Dentistry, P.C.
I take my 2 grandsons to Grand River Family Dentistry and have been incredibly pleased with the all of the staff. They are all very good with children. Every time we go there, most everyone in the office greets them and has a brief conversation with them, which makes them feel comfortable and "remembered"! The waiting room is clean and spacious. As soon as my dental insurance starts I will be making an appointment for myself!

Fill Good Dental Center
They tell you everything you need to know about the problems in your mouth and let you decide which ones you can afford to fix in order of seriousness. I got a payment plan that I can afford and as long as I make my payments on time they do the work. 1/2 down and no interest payments. I feel good about my smile.

I've been a patient of this office for the past eight years. The whole staff has always been very helpful and informative. By the way, to whomever complained, Stephanie has always been a good worker. whether she is assisting or working with the front desk staff.

Tips & Advices
This depends on the prosthetic.
  • Dental implants, when cared for properly, can last a lifetime.
  • Crowns typically last between 10-15 years.
  • Resin-bonded bridges typically last between seven  and 10 years. Tooth-supported fixed bridges generally wear out faster than this.
  • Removable partial dentures typically last around 15 years.
  • Complete dentures typically last between five and six years.
The entire process for adding dental implants could take as long as eight months. There are three phases:
  • Phase 1: Grafting. This may take between three and six  months.
  • Phase 2: Artificial root placement. This may take one to two  hours to complete and will take between three and six  months to heal.
  • Phase 3: Crown placement. This is usually done over the course of two visits, two weeks apart.
One dental implant typically costs $1,000-$3,000. However, the abutment (a connector added onto the top of a dental implant) and crown can add $500-$3,000. Multiple dental implants may cost $3,000-$30,000. A full set of implant dentures may cost as much as $90,000, though the average is around $34,000.
A dental implant is a titanium post shaped like a natural tooth's root that is surgically inserted into the jawbone beneath the gums. These posts allow dentists to secure a replacement tooth or bridge in the correct position.
Maxillofacial prosthesis is a subspecialty of prosthodontics. A maxillofacial prosthesis is meant to rehabilitate patients who have defects or disabilities due to trauma, disease, or those that a patient is has from birth. The prosthesis is designed to replace parts of the bone or tissue that are missing, or to help restore functions of the mouth, such as swallowing, chewing, or speaking. Other prostheses are created to protect the face during radiation therapy. Dentists that work with maxillofacial prostheses often collaborate closely with ear, nose, and throat doctors.
