02/25/2017Kinlin Works Lawn Landsca
About this time last year, John Kinlin and his crew(s) his snow removal clients high and dry during the two biggest snow storms. John's response to this was that it was our fault for not understanding his policies, namely that they only come once every 24 hours, but no matter how you slice it, they needed to come more than once during those storms. I did not use him for snow removal this year. Now comes the latest offense. Last Fall I signed up for his "Fall clean-up." That happened sometime in middle November. I came home to see bushes that should not have been touched chopped down, my mulch in my flower beds gone and several of my landscape lights knocked over - one broken beyond repair. They also left a pair of hedge shears in my yard. I called John's office the next day and told the lady that the shears were on the back porch and that they could come get them. I then asked her to have John call me. Well, John never called. In fact now he claims that I never made that call - but oddly enough, the shears got picked up from the out of the way location that i left them - they had to have known where to look. I got the bill at the end of November and I sent him an email complaining about the Fall clean up. His response was very abusive. So I fired him. I sent a check for the outstanding lawn service but refused to pay for the Fall clean-up. He never cashed that check and I also never got another bill from him. So, I thought we were done. Now let's jump to this week. When a friend sent John an email to cancel her service, she copied me. John replies to her that I owe him almost $275 (the real amount is $104) and thanks her for paying her bills. This begins an email back and forth between he and I the likes I have never seen. In short, John is incredibly abusive, accepts responsibility for nothing and expects you to pay him for destruction of your yard.Use him and his company at your own risk and just hope that you never need anything from him.
