Denver Regenerative Medicine
I went in for a consultation (which was free) on December 31st and made appointments to have the service done on one knee. They charge a non-refundable $200.00 fee to hold your appointment slot with the doctor. After I arrived home I got a voice mail from the representative who had sat down to go over the payments with me, stating that she made an error in her calculation that was stated to me for the second and third payments. I cancelled the appointments and asked for the $200.00 back even though they specified it was non-refundable. I did not make the error, and they made no attempt to change the payments from 3 to 4 in order to spread out the increase of $1,000.00, and since I would not be seeing the doctor after cancelling, why do they need to keep the $200.00 in order to hold my appointment slot??? Do not give any money up front unless you are ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN that you will be coming for the service. A few days later the doctor called to apologize for the mix-up and offered a discount for the procedure. I'm happy with that and plan on having the procedure done next week. (Update 01/19/2016) I had the procedure done on both knees on 01/14/16 and I am at work today after the MLK holiday. The only pain during the procedure process was the anesthetic had a burning sensation to it that was uncomfortable. The procedure itself went amazingly well and Dr. Michael Cantor is a pro! I had one day of pain, one day of discomfort, and then I was fine. No knee braces, taking off 4 to 6 weeks of work or using crutches like the other clinics I checked into required. I am changing my rating to a 5 star! God bless you Dr. Cantor!!!

Navarkal Rock
I am ever so happy that I found Dr. Rock Navarkal. Being in pain and being hesitant about meeting a new doctor was a waste of energy, because when I met the staff at Rocky Mountain Spine & Sports Medicine I quickly realized that I had nothing to worry about. They were prompt and very courteous to me. The experience I had with Dr. Rock Navarkal at Rocky Mountain Spine & Sports Medicine was the way all my doctors appointments should be but rarely are. Dr. Rock answered all my questions and addressed all my concerns, and even went above and beyond by offering treatments that he could do in the same office. In my previous experience I would have to had seen at least 1 more doctors if not 2 or 3 different doctors and have to go to that many different places to them all. To all others a bit of advice, if your time is valuable to you then go to Rocky Mountain Spine and Sports Medicine, but if your time means nothing, then go to any other doctor.

Navarkal Rock
Why dont all dr.'s value your time as much as theres? I finally found a dr. that does. He was prepared for everything. Dr.Rock blew my mind with his knowledge and readiness for it all. Went in with a pain that wouldn't quit, and not only did he know the right meds to give, but he was able to help this from not happening again by offering all kinds of injections and downstairs had his physical therapy office so we could start the healing process and not just bandaid the problem. My hats off to you Dr. Rock, you're 1 in a million!!!!! If you go anywhere else you'll regret it. Don't waste days or weeks of time being in pain, let the staff at Rocky Mountain sports and spine get you ready for today.

The Vets Animal Hospital
Tutu had a urinary tract infection. My cat Tutu was having trouble urinating so I took her to Dr. Sebunya. I’m so glad I did not put this off because Dr. Sebunya said that the urinary tract infection he found could have gone into her kidneys and could have been fatal if left untreated. Dr. Sebunya gave her antibiotics and recommended a change in her diet. Tutu has been on her medicine and new diet for above a week now and seems to be much better. I did not realize how dangerous urinary problems can be for cats. Thanks to Dr. Sebunya I know to be watchful for these kinds of symptoms in Tutu or any of the other 3 members of my feline family.

The Vets Animal Hospital
The veterinary care provided by Dr. Sebunya and his staff for each of our pets has been outstanding. From the time I walk in the door the staff is friendly and helpful. Waiting time is minimal. Once in the exam room the techs review their understanding of the purpose of the visit. They are gentle and are helpful with my questions. I've had experience with each of the techs and they are thorough and informative. In no way have I ever felt rushed or left without an understanding of the exam or procedure. Dr. Sebunya is always terrific no matter what the problem. We are extremely happy with the care provided to our pets at The Vets Animal Hospital.

The Vets Animal Hospital
My cat had been drinking a lot of water and would not eat for 2 days, so I took her into Dr. Sebunya to find out what could be wrong. He found that she had kidney problems and was becoming dehydrated. Dr. Sebunya told me that cats are prone to urinary problems and that a change in diet was necessary for the rest of her life. Punkin is feeling better now and is less lethargic on her new food. I am very grateful to Dr. Sebunya for finding and treating the problem and getting Punkin on the proper diet for her condition. Thanks also to the great staff at The Vet’s Animal Hospital for being so helpful and caring.

The Vets Animal Hospital
Dr. Sebunya has been taking care of my dog Gidget for the past couple of years managing age-related problems. Two weeks ago I took her in to check on her teeth and gums because she started to bleed when I fed her cookies and she had bad breath. Dr. Sebunya did a teeth cleaning and I could not believe the difference it made. Her mouth looks so much healthier and she is kissing sweet again. He told me that gingivitis can lead to all kinds of problems in older dogs. I’m so glad I had this done and I want to thank the good people at Vets Animal Hospital for the great veterinary care they provide.

Bugsy just needed a simple surgery!Bugsy had a lump the size of an olive under the skin on the inside of his right front leg that I had never noticed before so I took him to The Vet’s Animal Hospital. Dr. Sebunya checked Bugsy out thoroughly and thank heavens it was just a benign fatty tumor. Dr. Sebunya did a surgery to remove the lump the next day. Bugsy is fine now and I feel so relieved that it was not something horrible like cancer. I really appreciate the quality care for Bugsy and also the relief Dr. Sebunya gave to me by talking me through the diagnosis and the procedure to be done.

The Vets Animal Hospital
Many thanks to Dr. Sebunya and the staff at The Vets Animal Hospital. Dr. Sebunya has been taking care of my 3 cats ever since I moved to Denver in 2011 and I am very happy with the service. One of my babies developed a urinary tract infection 3 weeks ago. I just took her back in for a checkup and she is all clear now and feeling much better. I have changed her diet to a special food and now I know to watch out for future symptoms since I learned from Dr. Sebunya that many cats are prone to this dangerous problem. Thanks for educating me and taking care of the problem in short order.
Tips & Advices
This depends on the facility. Patients should call to find out if they'll need a referral from their physician prior to making an appointment.
Aside from hyperbaric oxygen treatment, most wound care centers offer:
  • Debridement: The removal of dead skin and tissue surrounding the wound. This can be done surgically, using a whirlpool bath, syringes, enzymes that dissolve the tissue, or wet dressings that dry on the wound and absorb the dead tissue.
  • Dressing: Wrapping the wound in a protective film, gauze, gel, or foam.
  • Compression stockings: Tight-fitted fabric sheaths that encourage blood flow.
  • Artificial skin: A covering that is applied to the wound for several days as it heals.
  • Ultrasound: The use of sound waves to promote healing.
  • Growth factor therapy: The use of materials naturally produced by the body to encourage quick cell growth.
  • Negative pressure therapy: Creating a vacuum around a wound to encourage faster blood flow to the area.
Depending on where the treatment is administered, hyperbaric oxygen treatment  can cost $100- $1,000. After insurance is applied, patients may have a copay of $10 -$50 or a coinsurance fee of 10 percent to 50 percent.
Most wounds should heal within two to six weeks. An individual should seek chronic wound treatment if a wound has not begun to heal after two weeks or is not completely healed after six.
Most health insurance plans cover wound care. Patients should check with the clinic and their health insurance provider before seeking treatment to be sure.
