General Info

The Berkshire, located in Denver, CO on Stapleton's main drag, serves fresh and inventive dishes centered around pork and bacon. In a location heavily populated with chains, this family-owned restaurant serves unique meals from scratch in a casual and trendy environment. Some popular meals include our bacon plate and pork tenderloin which is served with house made bacon jam and roasted cauliflower. While the dishes represent American cuisine-heavy on the pig-The Berkshire does serve lighter fare as well as vegetarian dishes. In addition to serving up heaping portions of pig, we also take pride in our creative cocktails. We have a fully stocked bar and draft beers, insuring you will find the perfect drink to accompany your porky dish. The Berkshire hosts weekly drink specials and happy hours, giving you a reason to celebrate any day of the week! The Berkshire is a great place for parties and corporate events. Our "Pig Pen" is a full private dining room that seats up to 40 guests in a warm and inviting atmosphere. "The Pigs Stye", a semi-private area, is also available for booking and seats up to 18 guests, or has standing room for 25 guests. Whether you are hosting an event, or just wanting to celebrate with a group of friends because it's Wednesday and you're craving bacon, stop by The Berkshire and let us show you just how much we love pig!

Me and my boyfriend frequent the Berk for brunch about twice/month, and have made it for dinner a few times as well. Food is delicious, the staff are excellent. Try the bacon-- you won't be disappointed. The bottomless mimosas and relaxed atmosphere keep us coming back! So glad to see the other reviewers on this site have had the same good experiences :)

The happy hour prices are almost ridiculous they're so good. The pork-inspired menu makes my mouth water just thinking about it. The staff is friendly (our server Taylor told us he commutes from Boulder just to work at the Berk), the place is clean and the ambiance is nice for a group of friends or a relaxing night out with y'er gal. The music was right out of my ipod's playlist. Try the new pork chop or $50 kobe burger (always on sale for $20... ) in addition to the slider favorites. If you're looking for a place that serves a little humor and fun with each plate of super-good food, try the Berk!

The staff is super friendly and always helpful. I love coming here after a big night out for their yummy brunch and bottomless mimosas. You have to try their burger with bacon and EVERYTHING ON IT! Make sure you get the sweet potato fries . . . delicious.

What a wonderful place ! It's about time someone opened a place with character, that's a ""non-chain"" in this great neighborhood. Whether for drinks or food, it's a winnder. I personally loved the sliders, the pork belly, and the genius burger, to name a few. The wine list suprised me in it's variety and killer lay out by description. I've yet to try the pulled pork sliders, but am aiming to next time. Kudos for continuing to add items to the menu; love The Berk !

The Berkshire is the first restaurant I had ever stumbled upon that featured Bacon as the main ingredient. And sure enough, Now that the Berk is out doing it right, more restaurants around the country that are trying to compete are following suit.

Now dont be intimidated or turned off by the bacon...Its not the only thing on the menu, just a focal point. Great atmosphere, food, service and ownership is what really sets this place apart. Walk-ins are welcome anytime but if you have a special event and want to reserve the back room it's no problem.

If I have to suggest one item to get...well I couldnt, so I will suggest two: Meatloaf is absolutely to die for, and the KING (peanut butter, bananas and bacon on a sweet roll) which, oddly enough, Elvis probably would have died for had he been given the opportunity.

Recently opened, the Berkshire is quickly becoming a staple in the surrounding neighborhood and if you give it a chance I am sure that you will be quick to call it your new Peach Pit.

Also, while you're there be sure to say ""Hi"" to the owner Andy and his wife Krissy. Two crazy kids in love doing what they do best...makin' bacon.

Can you wrap bacon IN bacon ? the answer is YES Can I have a pan seared lobe of foie gras wrapped in bacon.? How about a braunshwager bacon slider ? YUP.
This place is like high end gourmand, meets italian deli, meets trendy wine bar, meets the best burger joint you have ever been It is an indulgent food fantasy of deliciousness unparalleled in this city. The motto, ""Swine Wine and a good time"" is pinpoint on target. The menu is fantastic and reminds me of a very creative and skilled chef crossed with the best Texas smoke house, blended with the late night diner....wrapped in bacon. There is even a soon to be legenday bloody mary and bacon brunch on Sundays You get all this and more. ... How is that even possible you ask, (?) well I will tell you, with value and service thats how. words of wisdom grasshopper GO THERE theberkshirerestaurant. com

The food is very good and consistent at The Berk! You get good serving sizes and never leave needing more. The staff has always been very welcoming and the bar is a comfortable place to hang out. Don't forget to order the sliders!
