We have used Pappas Painting numerous times over the past several years and have never been disappointed. The crews are always prompt, courteous, professional and cleanup is over the top. Other painters are never even considered when we have painting projects. We highly recommend their services.

I planned & shopped for new windows for about 6 months. I heard about Rob @ Carlson Siding. Upon his sales presentation, including the quality, warranty, & price of his windows, I was quite impressed. His company's history, his personal professionalism & eagerness to go above & beyond SOLD me. How could I lose?! Awesome windows, awesome price & warranty, outstanding installation & professionalism!! No kidding...I own a condo & my windows are the best in the whole community. Started receiving compliments that evening. Don't have a doubt...choose Rob!!(BTW--I didn't know Rob b4 this purchase. :-) )

Very poor work. Could not trust anything they said. Asked for money in advance and then didnt finish their work. I am doubtful any of the pictures on the website are their real projects. Stay Away.

Dennis has gone out of his way to help us in so many ways at a moment's notice! We appreciate Dennis' work ethic, professionalism, and knowledge! Thank You Dennis and your team. Rocky Mountain Shore Construction
My husband and I hired Chris Shore and Rocky Mountain Shore Construction to do a $420,000 addition on our house in Aurora, CO that was supposed to take a total of 4 months. We are on month 10 and having to hire additional people to correct rudimentary errors, mistakes and issues caused by Rocky Mountain Shore Construction. In my opinion, the work they performed was substandard to the point of being dangerous (water leaks into furnace room, storage room, roof leaks into the new addition, live electrical wires not terminated, carbon monoxide back flow into the house on 3 separate occasions from the furnace), subcontractors not paid timely (and with bounced checks), failure of the general contractor to show up on the site; subcontractors being sent without any materials or supplies to name a few. He cancelled his liability insurance policy before completion of our project, is being sued in Denver District Court and Adams County for other jobs by other individuals, has a Demand for Arbitration pending from my husband and I. Mr. Shore has been convicted of multiple felonies and misdemeanors in Orange County, California before he came to Colorado. In my opinion, this is a bad, bad, company that should not be used for anyone who wants quality construction work done.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR BOAT HERE!!! Especially if you are a woman! They treat women very disrespectfully, and the owner Dennis is the worst one! During our initial call, we asked to have the steering lines bled and refilled, as this is what we had been instructed to do by another reputable marine repair center, Crowley Marine (take your boats there!) We wanted to get our boat taken care of quickly, and Crowley was a little backed up, so we thought we would give this place a try. On the first phone call, the technician, Chris, told us that there must be a leak if the lines needed fluid. Makes sense, so we took the boat to see him. As you would expect, my husband asked him to check for a problem and let us know what the remedy they recommend would be. Seems like this is how most businesses would operate right? Not in this case....I called a week later to get an update and see if there was a diagnosis, or if there was no problem was the boat ready? Dennis treated me like I was stupid, and was very rude on the phone. When he put the technician on the phone, the tech told me my husband had authorized them to do whatever they wanted to fix the boat. Seriously?! Who does that?! I've never had any service/repair center think they had carte blanche to spend your money without telling you the problem and the estimated cost to fix it first. Hubby called to speak to the owner to share his feelings about how his wife was spoken too, not knowing he was speaking to the culprit. Their response.....come pick up your boat, we'll leave it outside, we don't want to work with you. Really?! This is how you treat bona fide customers, and then just leave their possessions outside on the street. What bad customer service!!! Like my momma always told me, you get what you pay for!!! I will wait to deal with the professionals at Crowley from now on!

I just signed up with Nick last week and he was extremely helpful and professional and I paid my $800 sign up fee. I got a call just now from Galadriel saying Nick no longer works there and she would be helping me now. She then asked for a document that she was obvious not clear on or even what she was asking for...within about 30 seconds she gets extremely frustrated becomes extremely rude and hangs up on me while laughing in back ground?!!? This is the BBB right? How could someone even talk to a new customer like that and belong to a company like this? With all that I will be cancelling my membership. Cant support a place that craps on new customers SCARY!

I was quoted $2,000 to $2,500 for the project from a representative that was onsite. I received a final bill for over $5,000 with no deviation in the work performed. Terrible shady business practices.

Owners have to be called repeatedly to get the job done right. Still haven't called back after a week.Floor installers were late, short handed most of the time and did a sloppy install with cracked boards, visible chips and nail heads left above the floor level. Replaced a cracked board and it looked worse than with just the crack! Left an unfinished wood edge on one side. Was gonna leave it like that but I asked him to do it over. Still not beveled or finished on one edge!Tile installer (subcontractor) didn't caulk between the tile and wood like he said he would. Said he needed the right caulk. Never came back to finish the job. Called the sub and the owner a couple of times. Still not resolved. Tile is still not sealedThe floor install was originally scheduled for May 11th. It is now the beginning of August and it is still not finished correctly.

Very professional. Quality product at a competitive price. I got exactly what I wanted in the time frame promised. Rob was prompt for all appointments, and everything was done just as I expected. I was particularly impressed with how clean he left everything. Except for the new windows, you'd never know he and his assistant had been there.
Tips & Advices
Signs of hidden water damage include:
  • Standing or pooling water
  • Foul odor
  • Texture changes
  • Discoloration
  • Clearwater is clean water with no solids. It includes water generated by air conditioning units and water that goes down the drain while the faucet heats.
  • Greywater refers to all other form of waste water except for toilet water. It possibly contains hair, soap particles, cooking byproducts and flakes of skin. Areas that have been damaged by grey water are at a mild risk of contamination.
  • Blackwater is water that has come into contact with urine or fecal matter. Toilet water is considered blackwater. Blackwater can contain pathogens and is usually considered a biohazard.
Water damage restoration is a process where water-damaged areas are dried, sanitized, and rebuilt.
Home insurance sometimes covers water damage from storm-related accidents. However, most plans do not cover damage resulting from lack of maintenance or floods. For the latter, homeowners should purchase flood insurance.
Regular maintenance will reduce the risk of water damage.
  • Clean and maintain gutters so rainwater flows properly. Direct downspouts away from the house.
  • Repair any roof damage.
  • Use drain snakes to clean clogs. Chemical cleaners erode pipes.
  • Do not place outdoor plants with invasive roots near pipes, septic tanks, sprinkler systems, or drainage fields.
  • Make note of the water bill. A sudden, random spike in charges could indicate a leak.
