Hidden treasure in the city. 3 of us were there on business and fun in the evenings. The Jet Hotel is centrally located to all the great restaurants, and loungers. The hotel is wicked close to the Pepsi center to catch a hockey game. The staff is small, but kind. The hotel has 18 rooms that are all modernly different for this 100 year old building. They give great corporate rates if you are looking. The GM Fisher was really helpful getting us to and from the air port with a town car that was cheaper than a cab. One of our men got sick, and they ran to the store for medicine. It is a quirky, personal, and unique boutique hotel. It is not a Marriott…it is a boutique hotel.

My husband and I honeymooned at this hotel and were blown away by the service. The hotel is nothing short of beautiful, and the staff treats you like royalty and like family at the same time. The concierge, Andrew, went out of his way to take care of us. He is truly a good person, and really knows how to make his guests feel welcome and happy. He is the feather in this fine hotel's cap.\r The bathrooms are breathtaking, and the rooms are so comfortable. The view of downtown Denver is amazing. \r If you want a romantic hotel this is absoutlely the place. You will not be dissapointed.

Very friendly, accommodating staff. Very Clean. Safe area. They adv non-smoking and they truly are! Most places claim they are non-smoking, but this place really was. No detectable stale smoke smell whatsoever! It was a pleasure to breath clean air! We were very happy w/ the price and accommodations. Close to great shopping/restaurants. Staff very happy to please. This is an extended stay, so dont expect daily room cleaning, still worth the $.

Do not stay at any of the 900 Extended Stay Hotels, including their following brands: Extended Stay America, Deluxe, Crossland, Homestead, and StudioPLUS. They unlawfully evict tenants who politely complain about bad service, and such evictions are backed up by Corporate Headquarters in Spartanburg, SC and by local cops who rely upon Extended Stay to help them apprehend the criminals who set up shop at Extended Stay. Such a symbiotic relationship works against you, never mind the criminal co-tenants. When I e-mailed a local manager, Bruce Weber, about some of the problems I had, and about the good work his maintenance person had done, he responded by disconnecting my phone by computer. Apparently, he fears a paper trail and tenants who might report the wrong perpetrators (his friends?) to the cops. So why does he put his e-mail address on his biz card? When I asked about my phone to two front desk clerks, I got double talk and contradictory statements, including the fact that the manager, who lives at the hotel, doesn't like to be bothered on Sundays (my phone went dead Friday at 6:30 PM). But the manager didn't mind evicting me on a Sunday! One of those clerks complained to the manager that I was rude to him. So the manager came up to my room about 2 PM Sunday, and began banging on my door and yelling ""You were rude to my clerk. I wanna talk to you."" You would think he would reconnect my phone temporarily just to make that social call! Apparently, he didn't mind disturbing neighbors. When I opened my door, he continued yelling at me, and pushed the door open wider. I resisted his push, and I shut the door. About two minutes later, I called the police (from the restaurant next door), who were typically nasty. The manager told them he wanted me to move out the next day, and the cops said I had to move out then. I didn't demand a court eviction order because the hotel doors used computerized key cards, which I thought could lock me out. Also, I feared the manager would throw my computer into a moving bin and damage it while I was gone. I had set up shop there, including my desktop PC, TV, business records, and I had my U.S. Mail and newspaper delivered there. I had 20 days left on my 30-day reservation, and I had planned to stay longer. After all, this is an ""Extended Stay Hotel."" Not! The next morning, Monday, I called Corporate Headquarters. Pam Graybeal, Customer Service Manager, told me that she would do nothing to stop my eviction, and she was nasty about it. She said ""I'll bet you think all people from South Carolina are stupid."" I then called the regional manager, and I got the same routine, but in a NY Italian accent. I called the cops again. They came out and asked the manager to give me a few more hours. I could not make reservations at another place because I had no phone or computer (I used a dial-up connection). It took me two car trips to my storage unit to move out. Then, I just cruised around to find another place. When I threatened a lawsuit, Corporate HQ offered me $1,000 compensation in response to my demand for $5,000. I rejected their offer. A year later, when I found out they had fired Bruce Weber (what took them so long? I had called several times in the interim), I accepted their $1,000 offer, which their outside counsel had withdrawn (talk about negotiating in bad faith, Scott Johnson). Corp. HQ then ignored me. So here I am! Hi! See my reviews of the Hyde Park Hotel, American Motel and the Weekly Inn. This is a lesson in doing business with a company owned by a private equity group, Lightstone, which bought it from Blackstone, another group of NY Jews, in 2007. Such people are mere bean counters who buy low and sell high, and know nothing about the hotel business, nor care about their long-term reputation. Extended Stay filed for bankruptcy on June 15, 2009. No wonder.

I stayed here with my family and pooch for the Thanksgiving holiday. The staff here were incredibly attentive, opening up doors, friendly smiles, great service and all in all just a great experience. The wine hour was wonderful and everyone brought down their poochies and sat by the fire. There wasn't one snobby person in the place which made it even better.\r I would highly recommend the Hotel Monaco to anyone that visits Denver. I would certainly stay here again in a heart beat. They made our Thanksgiving stay a memorable one!

We enjoyed a lovely happy hour at Harry's last night after hitting an afternoon matinee. We had shrimp cocktail and a few speciality drinks. The shrimp were large and of good quality and came with a tasty cocktail sauce (as opposed to the kind that tastes like ketchup). Between the three of us we had a lemon drop, a sidecar, an (intercourse-silly Citysearch editing) in the city, an orange crush (I think), and a Colorado bulldog. All were sophisticated and elegant, served up martini style. We did not care for the (bleep! naughty word!) in the city which was so sweet that it crossed the line into cloying but if you like a very sweet drink then that is the one for you. True, the drinks are not cheap. But they are quite strong so not to worry, you get plenty of booze for your buck. At any rate, it isn't the sort of place you go to down a ton of drinks and get very drunk and loud. It's more of a place to enjoy a civilized cocktail with a few good friends and still be able to walk in a staight line when you leave. The decor was the most fun. I agree with the 1950's Vegas lounge characterization. Lots of mod geometric shapes and reds/oranges. Very clean-looking and very chill. The only thing that annoyed me was the huge flatscreen TV which I thought detracted from the look and feel of this smart little place. It isn't meant to be a sports bar. But overall, loved it. Will definitely be back.

I wa able to shop the rates (by date) and was able to get a room for a very reasonable price. The room itself was quite small but the decore in the room was nice. The bathroom has a nice tub but the rest of the tile, countertops etc all felt cheap. The location was perfect for a weekend downtown. Walking distance to everything. The valets were very friendly and the front desk helpful. The bar however was boring but they are building a new one. Overall I would reccomend.

I stayed at the Westin Tabor Center in Denver this past weekend, May 2-4, 2008. The reason for my trip was a gathering of friends for a weekend away. \r \r Entering the hotel through a door held by their very helpful doormen, you're greeted with two escalators and a small starbucks stand. Much different than most hotels, the 'front desk' is actually a series of four smaller desks on floor level. Service was economical - I had my keys in hand within two minutes of arriving at the front desk. The decora in the lobby area is very modern, with lots of dark browns, blacks, and tans throughout, accented by bright red, yellow, and blue abstract art. \r \r From the front desk, a bank of four elevators awaited. Our room was just off the sixth floor elevators. The two-double-bed room was average sized yet spacious. It had the requisite desk, chair with ottoman, tv atop the dresser, night stand, and two beds. Our room looked out towards the mountains, though most of the scenery is blocked by adjacent buildings. \r \r The bathroom was almost too spacious, with granite tile and countertops, just enough lighting, and a very large shower/bath. The shower had dual heads, to my wife's delight, and plenty of water pressure. It was also very clean.\r \r The location was perfect for our trip. We had tickets to a Rockies game, which was a short 10 minute walk away. The bars and restaurants near Coors Field are fun and hip, with several rooftop decks, sports bars, and small breweries only a 6-4-3 double play away from the stadium. Invesco, while still relatively close, was about a 45 minute walk away towards the mountains, and might be a bit of a bear to walk in the winter time. Cabs at the hotel appear to be plentiful, however.

The Brown Palace is located in the heart of downtown Denver and is regarded as one of the most luxurious historic hotels in America. Every president since Roosevelt (except for Coolidge) has graced the Brown with their presence. Even The Beatles stayed their during their 1964 tour. With such accolades from elite guests there is no doubt that a couple looking to have their wedding be a slice of history will love tying the knot at The Brown Palace. It's easily accessible location downtown offers many choices for church ceremonies and spots for wedding party portraits. A couple of our favorite churches to photograph in the area are Trinity United Methodist and Holy Ghost. Both churches are located within walking distance to The Brown Palace. The Capitol, federal building, civic center park and 16th street mall are just a few options for fun places to take the wedding party for portraits. Even if you didn't set foot outside of the historic hotel, their are endless spots for portraits indoors as well. Whether the bride is getting ready in the hotel spa and salon or in the bridal suite, the lavish spaces offers us ample opportunities for beautiful photos before the ceremony. With over 13,000 sq ft of space spread over 12 event rooms, The Brown Palace can handle the even the grandest of wedding plans. Couples may choose to have their ceremony at the historic hotel as well. The Grand ballroom can host larger ceremonies and the Brown Palace Club room is a popular location for a more intimate feel. The most popular rooms for receptions are the Grand ballrooms as well as Central City, Onyx and Club rooms. The Grand ballrooms host parties of up to 300 guests. The other rooms offer an equally elegant setting for smaller receptions. The ballrooms boast elegant chandeliers and luxurious drapery over rich wooden panels. Each of the other rooms offer unique features such as frescoes on the ceilings in the Onyx room to city street views in the Central City room. Throughout the hotel, the lighting is dimmed to heighten the warm rich feeling in the architecture and decor. Our knowledge of the use of ambient light and off camera flash takes advantage of the beautiful settings that The Brown Palace has to offer. Photographing in the eight story atrium lobby always guarantees truly unique photos for the bride and groom. There, you'll find the grand staircase which is a great spot for bridal portraits. We always take the time to go on one of the upper levels with the couple to look out on the atrium lobby below. The staff at The Brown Palace is always more than accommodating and happy to help with any guests desire. With accolades from Bon Appetit and Wine Spectator Magazine, guests dining experience at the reception is sure to be a memorable one. Elevate Photography has photographed many memorable weddings at this wonderful location. You can see more of our work from The Brown Palace in our location portfolio.
