Hom Solutions
I had bought some carpet at Home Depot to be installed in my house. The salesman was knowledgeable about carpet, but not with the computer, scheduling, ordering, etc. Long story short, the delays cause by their mistakes left us with an install date beyond our move-in date even with 5 weeks advanced notice. Fortunately, the install was not up to Home Depot (who I can’t even get a return phone call from). It was up to HOM Solutions. Though the situation my wife and I were in was not in any way their fault, they took volunteers to do the install on a day that they were not doing installs, and bailed us out. The volunteers who showed up were Presley and Patrick. These guys were awesome. They got in there when they were supposed to and kept their heads down until they were done. They gave us choices we didn’t know about on certain installations, such as the stairs, to make those as beautiful as possible. This new place of ours was actually 30 years old, so the floors had many squeaks in them that we thought would get covered up with a quick roll out. They spent so much [careful] time scraping and sweeping and ensuring that there was no dust, dirt, nails, or debris of any kind underneath the carpet and wound up pointing squeaks out to us that we were able to better screw down. We had transitional trim actually arrive while the carpet was being installed and learned that due to the size of the trim, the carpet actually needed to be moved further away from the adjoining wood floor. Without a blink, they pulled the carpet back, pried off the 20 feet of tack strips they had just nailed down (which they had to destroy in the process), and allowed us to install our transitions before they re-installed the carpet up to that area. They did the whole thing with kindness and understanding, again making up for mistakes that were not theirs. The finished product was beautiful. There’s just no way in the world we could have been happier with what HOM Solutions pulled off. Our new carpet is wonderful, looks amazing, and our floors are as quiet as new ones now. The moral of the story; do whatever you can to work with HOM Solutions in your home. They masterfully solved every problem that they were handed and delivered exceptional quality.

Peterson Electric LLC
Josh is awesome! I own a small restaurant in Estes, and had some issues with breakers popping. I was quoted by another electrician that I would need a new box with plenty of extra circuits, but was about 2 weeks out on scheduling. Josh asked if he could pop in that same night and take a look.. Needless to say, he rerouted most of my equipment, doing all the math that I hadn't been able to figure out, and solved my breaker issues without adding anything. He cured my headache in my business, while saving me thousands of dollars that I would have wasted with the other guy that didn't want to stop and think it through. Then, I signed a lease on a new location in Ft Collins. This shop had most of its electricity tied up with an old FroYo machine setup. I needed these broke down and ran into several individual circuits throughout the kitchen of the new shop. I called Josh again, gave him a key. While I was busy running my other shop, he worked his magic and got my new shop all lined up for the equipment I need! Honest, personal, fast yet high quality work. If you are questioning anything.. at least let him have a shot to tell you how he can take great care of you!!

Carpet Depot
I called Carpet Depot, asked for a rough quote over the phone. I gave a close, but not exact measurement of the square footage. They estimated a price based on this measurement, which allowed me to shop around. The price was very competitive. I called 2 weeks later--they came out that same day, measured and gave me an exact quote. That quote was exactly in line with the phone estimate. They set up a time to come out on a Friday--gave me a ballpark time frame of about 9:00. I called the day before to confirm--and they were there at 9:15....great timeiness, great service. They walked down to the basement with me and did a quick run-through. They wanted to make sure the rooms I was expecting to be done were the rooms they had on their list. They were friendly, very professional, quick, timely, and did an amazing job installing the carpet.I will keep their card and refer them to everyone I know who needs to have carpet installed.

Carlson Siding & Construction
Rob, here is fact about the quality of your work. 8 years ago, you sided our Island Cottage on Crystal Beach Texas. A couple years later on September 13, 2008, Hurricane Ike devistated our Island. Leveling thousands of homes with 110 mph sustained winds, and a 16 - 22' storm surge. It looked like a nuclear bomb hit us. Google Hurricane Ike and you will see the destruction, its beyond belief. The storm surge and wind, wiped out our wrap around deck and completely flooded our home, going close to 20' up the walls on the second story, but your siding stayed intack, protecting the structure. My home looked like an island in the middle of the sea as almost every house around me was leveled. Thanks for the increadable job.

Denver Dustless
I live in an old house built in 1903 and was not sure how the floors would come out it I had them redone. I had three different companies come out and give me a quote for the work to be done. Denver Dustless gave me a quote that was in the middle of all the others and agreed to do the same amount of work if not more. The work they did was impeccable and my floors look beautiful. The workers were tidy and professional. Whenever I called they got back to me right away. If I had a concern they reassured me that they would take care of it. I cannot say enough about my experience and how pleased I was to work with Denver Dustless

Carlson Siding & Construction
We used Carlson siding on our house in August. Prior to getting our siding, or paint was peeling and house siding was rotting. Our house looks brand new!!! Carlson Siding was very easy to work with and Rob even made sure to keep my schedule in mind (I work nights) and kept noise down during the mornings, which wasn't expected, but very appreciated! The workmanship is amazing and he even brought our trash cans up to the side of the house after trash was picked up in the mornings. It's hard to find such a combination of customer service and great work. We would recommend to anyone.

Carpet Depot
The salesman brought Samples to my home. I was able to view them in the light where the carpet was to be installed and compare the samples with my Paint. While he was there, He measured my rooms and gave me a price . HE was Polite and very knowledgable. The Prices were the best I found and I was very happy with the install. I didnt wast any time or gas. The carpet arrived in about 4 days and the installation Crew did a great Job. I was really impressed with the quality of the carpet and the fast installation.

Denver Dustless
"Upon moving into our new house, we called a number of different hardwood companies to give us an estimate for installing new hardwood flooring and refinishing existing flooring so that it would all match. Not only was Denver Dustless the best price, but their work was fantastic. They were incredibly responsive from Day One, answering every phone call and never missing a deadline. They were courteous, on-time and the work looks amazing."

Denver Dustless
We needed the wood floors in our rental property refinished, after the tenant with the two big dogs moved. I found Den Dustless online along with two other, larger companies which I checked for availability and . I was very impressed with their website, and was leaning toward them from the beginning because of the descriptions of their technique, and what I perceived as a sincere small business effort, which I wanted to support.
Tips & Advices
In most states, contractors are required to have a license before taking a job. Some states also require registration. To be licensed, contractors must pass an exam and meet certain qualifications that prove he or she is a competent flooring contractor. Registration is simply a list of who will be performing a job.
The time it takes to install flooring depends on the type of flooring and the size of the room or rooms involved in the project. In one day, a typical contractor can usually install up to 2,000 square feet of carpet, 600 square feet of hardwood or laminate, or 400 square feet of tile or stone.
  • Do you have a professional license, insurance, and a business liability policy?
  • Who will work on the project?
  • Do you subcontract, and do you screen workers and have insurance policies to cover them?
  • Do you have references or examples of your work I can see?
  • Do you charge for an in-home estimate?
  • What type of flooring is best for my home in terms of architectural consistency, environmental influences (such as whether a certain type of flooring will be affected by humidity in my area), and durability?
Legally, insurance is not necessary, but it's a good idea for flooring contractors to have it. When hiring a flooring contractor, ask whether the business is insured. If it's not, consider that a red flag.
A flooring contractor should know the pros and cons of each flooring option. These might include pricing, time of installation, durability, and average lifespan of the material.
