Hom Solutions
I had bought some carpet at Home Depot to be installed in my house. The salesman was knowledgeable about carpet, but not with the computer, scheduling, ordering, etc. Long story short, the delays cause by their mistakes left us with an install date beyond our move-in date even with 5 weeks advanced notice. Fortunately, the install was not up to Home Depot (who I can’t even get a return phone call from). It was up to HOM Solutions. Though the situation my wife and I were in was not in any way their fault, they took volunteers to do the install on a day that they were not doing installs, and bailed us out. The volunteers who showed up were Presley and Patrick. These guys were awesome. They got in there when they were supposed to and kept their heads down until they were done. They gave us choices we didn’t know about on certain installations, such as the stairs, to make those as beautiful as possible. This new place of ours was actually 30 years old, so the floors had many squeaks in them that we thought would get covered up with a quick roll out. They spent so much [careful] time scraping and sweeping and ensuring that there was no dust, dirt, nails, or debris of any kind underneath the carpet and wound up pointing squeaks out to us that we were able to better screw down. We had transitional trim actually arrive while the carpet was being installed and learned that due to the size of the trim, the carpet actually needed to be moved further away from the adjoining wood floor. Without a blink, they pulled the carpet back, pried off the 20 feet of tack strips they had just nailed down (which they had to destroy in the process), and allowed us to install our transitions before they re-installed the carpet up to that area. They did the whole thing with kindness and understanding, again making up for mistakes that were not theirs. The finished product was beautiful. There’s just no way in the world we could have been happier with what HOM Solutions pulled off. Our new carpet is wonderful, looks amazing, and our floors are as quiet as new ones now. The moral of the story; do whatever you can to work with HOM Solutions in your home. They masterfully solved every problem that they were handed and delivered exceptional quality.

Denver Dustless
I live in an old house built in 1903 and was not sure how the floors would come out it I had them redone. I had three different companies come out and give me a quote for the work to be done. Denver Dustless gave me a quote that was in the middle of all the others and agreed to do the same amount of work if not more. The work they did was impeccable and my floors look beautiful. The workers were tidy and professional. Whenever I called they got back to me right away. If I had a concern they reassured me that they would take care of it. I cannot say enough about my experience and how pleased I was to work with Denver Dustless

"Upon moving into our new house, we called a number of different hardwood companies to give us an estimate for installing new hardwood flooring and refinishing existing flooring so that it would all match. Not only was Denver Dustless the best price, but their work was fantastic. They were incredibly responsive from Day One, answering every phone call and never missing a deadline. They were courteous, on-time and the work looks amazing."

We needed the wood floors in our rental property refinished, after the tenant with the two big dogs moved. I found Den Dustless online along with two other, larger companies which I checked for availability and . I was very impressed with their website, and was leaning toward them from the beginning because of the descriptions of their technique, and what I perceived as a sincere small business effort, which I wanted to support.

They floors look great! They took the time to offer choices on a patchwork replacement piece I had requested and a transition replacement piece. The character of the old floor shows beautifully. They asked the right questions and listened to my response. They left the area clean and again, beautiful. They showed up on time and were friendly but focused on the job at hand. Thank you so very much!

What a fabulous job you have done as a company especially JJ, Ric, and Cody in completing the work for Rita's home. As you may know, she is hosting a wedding ceremony at her house. She can't wait to tell everyone about the company and what a wonderful job you have done. The floors look wonderful, better than I could have ever imagined.

I'm so pleased with how the floor turned out. In the rental ad for the house, I used the words "shimmer," and "sparkle." We painted all the walls which refreshed the place, but really, it's the floors and their beauty that prompted me to write those descriptive adjectives. And they're true!

Rick and Alex did an excellent job on our existing hardwood floors, as well as the new floor Denver Dustless installed in our Family room. Very knowledgeable about how to best clean the floors and helpful with how to best move the furniture on floors. Thanks for the great job!

The two young men that did this job of finishing my kitchen floor were prompt, did what they promised they would do, produced a new beautiful floor and were pleasant to work with for three days. I will be glad to recommend Rick and John and Denver Dustless to my friends.
Tips & Advices
In most states, contractors are required to have a license before taking a job. Some states also require registration. To be licensed, contractors must pass an exam and meet certain qualifications that prove he or she is a competent flooring contractor. Registration is simply a list of who will be performing a job.
The time it takes to install flooring depends on the type of flooring and the size of the room or rooms involved in the project. In one day, a typical contractor can usually install up to 2,000 square feet of carpet, 600 square feet of hardwood or laminate, or 400 square feet of tile or stone.
  • Do you have a professional license, insurance, and a business liability policy?
  • Who will work on the project?
  • Do you subcontract, and do you screen workers and have insurance policies to cover them?
  • Do you have references or examples of your work I can see?
  • Do you charge for an in-home estimate?
  • What type of flooring is best for my home in terms of architectural consistency, environmental influences (such as whether a certain type of flooring will be affected by humidity in my area), and durability?
Legally, insurance is not necessary, but it's a good idea for flooring contractors to have it. When hiring a flooring contractor, ask whether the business is insured. If it's not, consider that a red flag.
A flooring contractor should know the pros and cons of each flooring option. These might include pricing, time of installation, durability, and average lifespan of the material.
