Budget Rent A Car
After reading several equally bad reviews for other rental agencies for this airport I was prepared to be unhappy with Budget car rental. . However in spite of the over crowded Budget bus to the rental lot I was pleasantly surprised. Yes the line was long but half of those in the line were groups and not everyone in the group was renting a car but with someone who was.I waited about 20 minutes and there were 4 agents working and most were smiling and pleasant to the customers. I was not bullied or pressured to buy anything. The agent I dealt with admitted they did have bad reviews when I told her I was apprehensive about renting from them. Without further delay our group of three got into our car and off we went. Car was new and clean and only had 4,000 miles on it. Upon returning the car after a week the agent did a quick walk around inspection and there were no complaints and off we went again. Also the scare of tolls roads is really over blown. I did not use a toll road, there seems to be only one toll road around the outskirts of the city, I did pay a huge toll one time last year while driving a section of the the turn pike in Miami that uses a cash less toll,so I know what a rip off that is. You do not need to use this toll road in Denver to get to the airport in fact I did not even see signs for it. I was not charged an additional fee for anything, even a month later, So all in all I had a pleasant experience. Budget car rental does have several off airport offices, one in the city center... hard to get to and one on Quebec St. but it closes at 2 pm on Saturday. They are several hundred dollars less expensive per week... but through a special deal with Southwest airlines I was able to find the same lower rental fee.

National Car Rental
I have been a loyal customer of National for at least 6 years. Not because I have to but because I want to. Speaking in broad terms ease of reservation and customer service have been unparalleled. Becoming a member of the Emerald Club only augmented these properties of National. Most recently a specific representative of National made this rental experience the best by far. We arrived at the National lot via shuttle from the airport of which the driver was helpful as usual. After disembarking the bus we were preparing to select our car from the Emerald Aisle. We noticed an abundance of SUV's and decided to ask the attendant on duty if it would be possible to upgrade to an SUV both for practicality (luggage for a family of 4) and comfort (lengthy drive through the mountains). The gentleman accommodated our request with a full size SUV as well as putting some final touches by washing the windows and review mirrors of water spots left from the car wash. He was very friendly and helpful. The SUV ran great for the duration of our trip and was exactly what we needed. Once again National was impressive in providing us with a rental experience exceeding our expectations.

National Car Rental
Renting from National is always an easy and pleasant experience. I am an Emerald Club member, so all I had to do was make a reservation, pick a car off of the Emerald Aisle, and show my ID and the car's hangtag before I left. As a member of Emerald Club, you are able to take any car off of the Emerald Aisle as long as you booked a medium sized car, which we did. So we managed to get a 2016 Jeep Latitude with 4 wheel drive instead of the one we reserved, which worked out much better for the snowy drive from Denver to Vail. Because National is an Enterprise company, we were able to drop it off at an Enterprise drop-off location, which was more convenient for us because of where we were staying. This is also made easy - we just had to park the car in the designated location and put the keys in the drop box. That's it! The fact that I consistently have good experiences like this and have my company's contract code (to give me a discount for National) ensure that I will keep renting through National in the future.

Recently rented a Dodge Caravan from National in Denver. Emerald aisle pick-up works great. Many of the cars there had very small trunks so appreciated being able to get the van. Van performed well in RMNP but when we return to Denver on a Sunday we had issues with the motor racing then slowing down. Called assistance and they said to take it to have it towed. This would have totally ruined our day. They then determined that we could take it to the Colorado metro airport and exchange it. We were very close to that airport at the time. The only problem was they did not inform the National person at the airport. Finally they gave us a Toyota Van that was just returned but not clean. We were happy we could continue on with our vacation day and not lose too much time. Only gave it a 4 because it would have been better if we did not have trouble with the vehicle at all and if they would have let the lady know at the Colorado Metro airport that we were coming in to exchange the van.

Rented a car from National at the Denver International Airport for a week long vacation. Online reservation was quick and easy (reserved a month in advance). When we arrived at the airport, no one was at the service desk (It was Sunday night and none of the car rental service desks for any providers were staffed). There was just a sign saying to proceed to the shuttle. This is more of a ding on the airport, but it wasn't clear where to go (I found this to generally be the case in that airport). Once we asked someone and found the shuttle, we were able to board a shuttle bus immediately and quickly arrived at the National terminal. The service was really fast and friendly. We made our car selection and were on our way in minutes. The car was great (2017 Kia Sedona with 63 miles). Car return was very smooth - took about a minute. The rate was exactly what I expected - no hidden charges. Note - I am a Emerald Club Executive member.

National Car Rental
I've used National for a long time as my company has a contract and I've learned to really enjoy the manner in which this company conducts business. My company also provides for personal use and I truly appreciate this as it simplifies my life.My most recent personal trip required renting a car in Denver and I had to hang out for a while to wait for friends who arrived a bit later than me. The young woman at the lot was very nice and chatted me up to help kill time. National made her schedule compatible with her academic endeavor and while National will lose her eventually to her chosen vocation she was a great representative of the company. Certainly gave the sensation that the customer was important and I appreciate that. Oh, and they have great options for vehicles too. The vehicle I chose was very clean and was perfect for transporting four to a ski area with all the gear and groceries. Check National out if you haven't already!

National Car Rental
Three days into our rental, we noticed a large dent in the front bumper. We had rented the car from the back side, been parking at our hotel so that we walked up from the back, so we did not know how long the dent had been there - possibly even from the beginning. We were in Boulder where parking is crazy and many of the cars wear bumper dents. The return agent at National noticed the dent right away and asked if we had been in a fender bender. I said no and that we had just noticed the dent on day 3 of the 5-day rental. He gave us the benefit of the doubt and accepted that our story might be true [which it is/was]. In contrast, the hotel agent at the Doubletree that morning tried to tell me exactly what "I had done," as if she was there or as if she knew - which she did not. She was so overtrained that her answers were robotic - she could explain away any thing I said or asked - without really listening.

National is the way to go for business travelers bar none. Denver International Airport's finally went back to where they drop off National Emerald members at the Executive Elite area. I know it sounds trite but it's nice to not have to walk those pesky 50 more steps. HOWEVER, I give this National again a lower score because of cleanliness. How hard is it to vacuum out a car? The cars were spotless until that locale went from National/Alamo to National/Enterprise. Also, the inside of the windshield needs to be cleaned as well, National kids. My last two cars there in the past month had such a film on them that it blinded me when I first turned onto a direction with the sun shining. Guess who cleaned it? Me. Again. I wish they'd leave a bottle of glass cleaner, some newspaper and $5 for my trouble. Bugs the heck out of me. Hence the 3 star rating. National - 5 stars.

National Car Rental
I decided to go with National versus a couple of the low priced companies based on Google reviews and a recommendation from a good friend. I signed up for the Emerald Club online from home in Detroit and immediately reserved my car at the location in Denver. I was looking for a full size sedan but when I got to the Emerald Aisle, I ended up upgrading to an AWD Escape SUV with the Ecoboost engine for no charge. The vehicle was practically new. It only had 3500 miles on it. It was clean and had the new car smell. I was checked out in minutes and headed off to Breckenridge. The Escape was great to drive and I averaged over 25mpg. That's pretty darn good when you consider the fact that most of my drive was in the mountains. Turning the car in was just as quick and easy as signing it out. National will definitely get my business in the future!

Picked up a 2014 Jetta at DIA---car had no mats and was clean inside but did not appear to have been washed on the exterior. Drove into LoDo to meet a client for lunch and the thermostat/water temp light came on. I called National and they offered to either have me wait for a wrecker for a couple of hours or turn the car in at a Broadway location for a Chrysler 200 (ugh). I had back to back meetings so I opted to just drive the car and take my chances. Luckily, it seemed to be a sensor or a low coolant level because it never did go "full boil" on me. I drove the car for the next three days and it intermittently alarmed (even on start-up when it was cold). The one thing you count on when you rent a car is reliability---in this case it was a minor irritation but National should be more concerned about regular maintenance.
Tips & Advices
Although special insurance isn’t always legally required for a moving truck, all auto insurance providers and moving specialists suggest you buy the special policy from the moving truck company. This is because most auto insurance policies have exclusions for covering vans and trucks over a certain size, and also because auto insurance will not cover the personal property inside a moving truck.
In order to drive a rented moving truck, a person must be on the rental agreement. Just as with rental cars, getting another driver put on your rental truck agreement may carry an additional fee per day.
Moving truck rental cost does not include the fuel cost. Make sure to find out from the rental company if there is anything to know about the type of gas the truck requires, as well as the location of the gas tank.
The rules about moving trucks and weigh stations vary somewhat by state. Some states do not require trucks to stop if the occupants are doing a personal move, not commercial moves. Others require all commercial trucks to stop, regardless of what they’re calling. When in doubt, stop.
Yes, pets are allowed in some moving trucks. However, all moving companies clearly state that renters should not put pets in the cargo area, and that pets should be in a transport carrier or properly harnessed for everyone’s safety. Moving truck rental companies all have clearly posted pet transport safety tips that you should review before moving day.
