I wanted to take a moment and write you all a letter to show my appreciation of your professionalism, helpfulness, friendliness and honesty. At the suggestion of my Mother, I took my truck to someone else in Frisco, Texas. It was a convenient location at the time, since I was visiting my Mom at her home in Frisco. I asked them to give me an estimate on a tune-up, oil change, and a few other items that I thought might be necessary. Well, needless to say, their company decided they had a "sucker" in their grips and proceeded to give me estimates on several items they said I needed to have done immediately on my automobile. I'm sure you are all very aware of the items they informed me that I needed and the prices they quoted me. Of course after I spoke to them, I realized what I have known all these years that I have been doing business with your company. NEVER go anywhere else but Bigowl's Auto Rescue! After I spoke to you Al, I had Brian come out the next morning. Brian went down the list of repairs I was told I needed by the other shop, and came to the conclusion that the only "repairs" I needed to have done, was a tune-up and an oil change. Once again, you have proven what I have always told all my family and friends here in Frisco; have your mechanics service their automobiles and you can't go wrong. Thanks again and again for being here and for the great qualities your company has and the principals you stand by. A loyal customer forever.

Jacquet BeverlyI took my husband's suburban in for a front end alignment and was told it needed over 2k in repairs first. Decided to look up a mechanic on Craig's List who was maybe hurt by economy and needed work. I got the runaround by the first guy I hired, charged for work he didn't do and he tried to keep parts I bought. Bigowl's came to the rescue, literally. They came the next morning, charged me exactly what they said they were going to and their work was awesome! It has been about two months and we have had no problems. The job even turned out to be harder than expected, take longer and they operated with such integrity that they still stuck to their estimate. I was very impressed with their service, work and ethics. Most people fear the cost of auto repair and trusting a mechanic, no need to fear Bigowl's, they are the auto repair company you have been looking for and you will be satisfied. They stand behind their work and their word. Thanks so much Bigowl's!!!

It is so nice and comforting to know that in a world where most automobile places have bad reputations for taking advantage of customers. There are still hidden gems out there such as Bigowl's Auto Rescue that will take care of you. They gave me a fair and honest quote and my bill was exactly what they quoted and work was done in a timely, efficient manner and most importantly was high quality. I will use these guys for small matters such as oil changes to the biggest matters because they do a quality job and deserve the business. I highly recommend these guys. If you believe in good karma please use and support this local business. They will take care of you and we should take care of them to ensure their continued success! A++++++++++

This particular customer with the supercharger was given $400 of free labor because we underestimated the job and I refused to charge him more for our mistake. They had a water leak that was from something previous and our mechanics did not know about the previous problem in regards a bout the actual supercharger the vehicle ran perfectly we received a call from him three days later demanding us to fix his water leak when we showed up to his house it was from the water heater so we quoted him a price to fix it and he refused to pay the price that the mechanic told him and said that we should do it for free. Now he's writing bad reviews on all of our advertisement.

These guys are the most honest mechanics in Denton. I have known them all of my life and my father used to go and pester them incessantly. On his death bed he decided to start giving me advice about sprinkler systems and cars and things of that nature and when he got to cars he said "just go to the guys." I knew exactly who he meant. I go in there to give them a hard time - as he did - and would probably bring in a bicycle to see if they could fix that but I know that they would be honest while giving me a hard time back. When they retire I'll somehow find their home phone numbers to stalk them for help.Dorothy Mayer

“Bigowl, You do not receive the recognition for the superb work your technicians put into your customers’ vehicles. You are always willing to help your customers whenever they have the slightest car troubles, with promptness and integrity! You obviously take pride in your technicians and the work they perform. You are the first person I recommend to all my friends who have car problems. Keep up the great work – it does not go unnoticed! Sincerest Thanks,“

This is the best body repair shop I have ever had to work with. They truly care about their customers and don't rake them over the coals when it comes to the cost. They will go to bat for you against your insurance company and handle all the details. If I ever have the need for bodywork done they will be the only shop I ever go to again.

Tips & Advices
Among the common scams pulled are needless repairs, where a garage charges you for work that isn't necessary. Another popular one is attracting customers through a cheap oil change or tire pressure check. Then, when you your car is being repaired, they give you a long list of other corrections they'd like to make, therefore boosting the total cost of your bill. The best way to combat these types of problems is getting a written estimate before work is done so you can see how much repairs are expected to cost. If the final bill is higher than the estimate projected, ask to specifically see the work. Make sure information is put in writing as well. If a problem remains, you can have proof that work was not done to your satisfaction.
For winter driving, features such as the defroster, heater and exhaust system are paramount. Look in your owner's manual for specific directions on how features should be checked and repaired. Many newer cars have a cabin air filter that can be replaced when needed, allowing warm air to continue to flow in. Also, check tires before winter driving, as they need to be at the proper pressure to perform well on snow and ice.
In the spring and summer, you want to be sure your air conditioner and cooling systems work correctly. Given the high temperatures, overheating is a common problem. Look over the system by ensuring there is enough coolant available. If it needs to be refilled, it is best to open the hood and add more to the car before it gets too warm out. Also, clean out fan ducts and other ventilation sources necessary for summertime driving.
Some fixes to your car can be done without paying a specialist. Issues like replacing oil and air filters are relatively simple, with instructions provided in the owner's manual on how to make these changes. The same goes for replacing broken windshield wipers or burnt-out headlights. Such issues should be repaired quickly to guarantee safety, but don't require a visit to a garage.
Yes. Not every type of auto repair work needs to be done by a certified mechanic. You can fix some of a vehicle's issues just by paying attention to how the automobile is running and having a basic understanding of auto repair. Look over the ways weather may impact your car and what preventative measures you can take to avoid having to take it into the shop.
