After careful consideration, I have elected to post what may be a less than glowing review of Brunson Auto Sales. The 2013 Ford F-150 Platinum 4X4 I purchased was involved in a minor accident days after my purchase, it involved a deer that took out the front bumper and grill. No worries, it’s an act of nature, let’s just get it fixed and move on. Now for the interesting news. The body shop calls me to advise the vehicle I brought in with a clean car fax report had been in a significant accident in its recent past which resulting in significant frame damage to the right front frame rail. The damaged framed hadn’t even rusted over being so newly damaged. Nevertheless, the frame repairs were not covered under the deer involved claim. I reached out to Karl Lenderman at Brunson Auto sales and he asked to see the estimate for additional repairs assuming he would take care of the frame repair cost, but nope, in his email he agreed to "Settle up" on the cost, but nothing...~ So more money out of my pocket. Live and learn as I should have taken the truck for an independent inspection. Fast forward, a few months my daughter relocates to California taking this truck with her as we purchased it knowing she would be going to school in California where she will finish up her final two years of collage… But no worries, the truck was advertised with a 50 state emissions system, (as posted in the Brunson ad) so she goes down to the local DMV where she is advised the truck she is driving was not built to California emission standards and would require additional fee’s in the hundreds ($350+) of dollars to register this truck in California. So the moral of this story, Brunson Auto Sales may be a small dealer in a small town full of nice guys, Carfax Reports may have a purpose but are useless for what they are intended, believe only what you see and have the vehicle you are purchasing from Brunson Auto Sales checked out by an independent shop as you cannot trust anyone. Including those in the used car business. JWM ~ a better educated consumer.
