I have been dining at 32 East for about the past 6 years on a regular basis. It is the best American restaurant I have ever been to. I have never had the same dish twice and the food has been near perfect everytime. The atmosphere is comfortable, the music is hip and the service and wine list are world class. I have traveled the world and have eaten at some of the best restaurants(Keller, Ducasse, Boulud, Nobu, Tetsuya, Adria) and this neighborhood hot spot is as good as any of them. In some ways it's better because 32 East lacks pretension that some of the others have. It's very rare to see a chef of Nick Morfogen's caliber actually cooking with his team of young upstarts, for this I am grateful. In some ways I feel this restaurant should get more national attention, but for selfish reasons I'm glad that it doesn't. It's very tough to get a primetime reservation in season as it is. Keep up the good work and I'll be forever loyal.
I just went there with my wife, and we enjoyed it immensely! The food quality at this restaurant is truly fresh gourmet cuisine, with a new menu every day! A very attentive staff makes the dining experience recommendable to all who appreciate fine dining! The only problem we found was the amount of people in the restaurant on a Friday night. I know that the weekend especially promises to have busy nights with long waits, and even though we had reservations, we still would have waited 30 minutes if a patio table didn't open up. Overall it was the best dining experience for both of us!! Thanks Chef!
