Purvis Automotive
I have used Purvis Automotive for more than six years as my automotive repair shop. Jim Purvis understands that I have older vehicles and I do not want to spend more on repairs than what the vehicle is worth. He has always been reasonably prices and upfront with his diagnosis. I have come to know him as a man of integrity. Recently, after doing several hours of work on my vehicle, he determined that the problem was much simpler than what he originally had believed. He only charged me for the fixing the problem not his original diagnosis. Without me asking he reduced my bill. I am sure he lost money on that repair. When I was paying, he told me that is the only way he can run his business. As long as he is in business I will take my vehicle to Purvis Automotive.

Hellyer Transmission & Automotive
Honest professional service! I had a transmission rebuilt two years ago and I was very pleased with the work they did. I like to do all the work on my vehicles so I'm always nervous about taking a vehicle in for service. There is no need to worry with Hellyer Transmission. After they removed and disassembled the transmission, the mechanic showed me the worn transmission parts and explained the work that needed to be done. Mark showed me the transmission kit that was needed and the parts that were going to be replaced. They use top quality parts and really know their stuff. The transmission has about 25000 miles since being rebuilt and shifts like it's new. I highly recommend Hellyer Transmission.

NTB National Tire & Battery
Took my truck to NTB in Deer Park for a front to back check up besides having my oil changed. The manager was very helpfull explaining everything to me that needed to be done and gave a time frame that it would take to get the job done. I told him to go head and start the work and even the cost was alot less than what I thought it would be. These people are nice and very helpfull. I would recommend this store to all of my friends. Keep up the good work!!!

Took my truck into this location to have a complete front to back check up besides having my oil changed and my rear left back tire checked . The manager there was helpful and explain different things that needed to be done, course I said to proceed with the work and he even told me a time frame it would take to get it all done. It was cheaper than what I thought it would be. I would recommend this store to all my friends. Keep up the good job!!!

Texas Coastal Automotive Inc
Texas Coastal Automotive is very friendly and professional. I have had nothing but great experiences with this shop. If you can't afford repairs they work with you and help you fix what is most important to keep your vehicle running and safe. They will stay late to get the job done, offer to pick you up and drop you off at work/home. I will continue to take my business to them.

Purvis Automotive
I have to disagree with the other review. I've known Jim Purvis for over 32 years and have never seen him act in this manner. I worked with him at another job before he opened his business and used him several times for my auto repair before I moved from the area. I would and have recommended him.

Crossroad Collision Center
My 2015 chevy high country was sent here for repair by my insurance company. Had to be taken back twice. The bed liner was covered in over spray. The interior was left covered in dust. Not all of the repairs had been done. Hopefully when I take it back this time they will make it right.

It has only been a few weeks since my 1999 Dodge 1500 was repaired, but, so far, all is well! The truck hasn't run this well since it was new. Hellyer's service was professional, fast, and well worth the money. Satisfied customer!

Tips & Advices
Using a variety of tools and processes, many of which require specialized training, auto body mechanics primarily repair cosmetic and structural damage to vehicles after accidents occur. They can also enhance a vehicle’s appearance and performance by replacing and adding new parts to a vehicle’s body.
This depends on the severity of the work that needs to be done. Something such as paintless dent repair for a few small dents can take an hour. Whereas auto body repairs for damages caused by a major accident can take multiple days to correct.
All auto body parts can be repaired but there is a threshold for the level of repairs possible. Parts can be damaged beyond repair and would need to be wholly replaced.
Auto body parts can be made from a wide variety of materials, usually based on what the part’s purpose is. Vehicle frames body panels, bumpers, roof racks, and other items that need to be strong and durable are usually constructed from steel, which is known for its durability and resistance to rust and high temperatures. But aluminum is quickly becoming a popular material of construction due to its lightweight yet durable nature. Body kits and other aftermarket parts like spoilers and hoods can be constructed from one form of plastic or another.
Yes, the vast majority of car makes and models have aftermarket parts available for many of their components. But higher-end vehicles typically have less aftermarket parts available since they often use specialized materials and manufacturing processes that are difficult to duplicate for many aftermarket manufacturers.
