Best Friends Vet Care
I have gone to best friends and Cats only. both are great. I couldn't be in more of disagreeance with laura. Dr. Dillon is a great vet. Easy to talk to and very knowledgable. I was ready to euthanize my cat. but I wasn't ready because he was still doing good even though he was in kidney failure and sever diabetic. Dr. Dillon was supportive of either way, knowing what the outcome was. and after spending probably 40 min with us and explaining everything we decided to try and manage the diabetes with insulin and kidney failure through diet. my bill was expensive at 507.00...and he did ok when he came home with me for about 4 days and took a severe nose dive and they made a follow up call and I was upset that he basically stopped eating and lost probably another 3 lbs in the last 5 days and the entire office staff was so sorry and remorseful. I made an appointment to finally euthanize him and I said that it was tough because I just spent all that money a week ago and another 200 too put him down was a lot of money in a week and a half. they felt so bad that they gave him cremation for cost. that put me at such ease they will not ever know. I got his paw prints, a picture frame, and his ashes in a very nice wooden box. and they were all, Dr. Dillon and staff so nice even though I come off as unsensitive at times. Taking his life was hard, but they made the experience as good as it could possible be. I work in the medical field, and a lot of times people are over emotional because someone or animal they love are not doing good. its easy to give a wrong impression and I truly believe that is was happened to laura. I have been around incompetent, rude, people everyday of my life working in the medical field. This staff isn't it. I appreciate everything they have done for me and I thank you Dr. Dillon and staff.

Fairview Hospital for Animals
After moving to this area from NH three years ago, I chose Fairview Hospital for Animals basically for convenience, being a short drive from my home. Since then I've found much more than a convenient drive. The support staff at Fairview makes you feel welcome and part of a "family", whether on the phone or in person. In addition to the utmost in professionalism, the veterinary staff of Drs. Shelly and Bob, along with the veterinary technicians, deliver the compassion so many others seem to lack in the delivery of their service. My "senior" dog has gone through routine check-ups, as well as major surgery at the hands of the professionals at Fairview, and has come out strong and healthy each time. You won't go wrong leaving your pet health care needs to Fairview Hospital for Animals.

Best Friend Vet Care
We love the care that our fur babies have always received here. When we had an old senior lab they would come out to our truck to se him, knowing it was difficult for him to get in and out of vehicles by this age. Now that we have younger dogs they do their best to make sure that they trust them and are relaxed before proceeding. The care that our fur babies receive it excellent

Fairview Hospital for Animals
After calling around for a reasonably priced vet for my new puppy and my other dog. I stumbled upon Fairview Hospital for Animals. The prices are reasonable, the service is great, and they are great to the fur-babies. I recommended them to a friend of mine and she switched vets after seeing the service and friendliness at Fairview Hospital for Animals.

Best Friends Vet Care
Dr. Dillon is wonderful. Without her and the staff my dog wouldn't be alive now. They have always gone above and beyond to make our experience with them pleasant. We have 4 dogs and have used them for several years. We have never had a bad experience. I highly recommend them...both locations.

I love this animal clinic. They have cared for all our pets for about 25 years. They are a walk in clinic and have treated our animals and us with respect and loving care as if our pets were their pets. We are so thankful them.

A great place to take your fur kid, and they also board.
Tips & Advices
Most 24-hour clinics do not allow owners to stay with their pets overnight. However, many do have specific visiting hours or will let owners see their pets at any point during the day. In addition, owners can call most clinics at any time for an update on their pet's well being.
  • Important phone numbers, especially those of the the veterinary clinic, the animal hospital or emergency clinic, and the poison control center
  • A book detailing pet first-aid steps
  • Copy of medical records
  • Nylon leash
  • Muzzle (only use if pet is not vomiting and has no difficulty breathing)
  • Absorbent gauze
  • Nonlatex disposable gloves
  • Scissors
  • Tweezers
  • Nail clippers
  • Digital thermometer
  • Sterile saline solution
  • Hydrogen peroxide (to induce vomiting only at the recommendation of a veterinarian
  • Milk of magnesia (to absorb poison only at the recommendation of a veterinarian)
Find a 24-hour animal hospital that provides emergency services within your area. Keep the facility's contact information in a place that's easy to locate, such as the refrigerator, address book, or smartphone. Most veterinary clinics operate on standard business hours and are not equipped to handle emergencies.
Veterinary clinics operate on a smaller scale than animal hospitals. The latter are more likely open 24 hours and provide emergency services. The former generally operate on typical office hours and only perform wellness exams and minor surgeries. Veterinary clinics also do not generally perform laboratory tests on site.
The specifics vary depending on the type of visit. For a wellness exam, bring:
  • Medical records
  • The type or brand of food the pet eats
  • Medication (including flea, tick, and heartworm medication).
If the animal needs medical treatment, the following may be helpful depending on the situation:
  • Fresh stool sample
  • Vomit sample
  • Video of the pet engaging in abnormal behavior
  • Substance the pet may have ingested
