Advance Auto Tech Inc
Hey guys, I found this car repair shop that's great. I am going to school and don't have much money. So when I took my car to get emissions and it fell, I checked around profuciously for the best rates. All the other shops told me that my 2005 BMW needed a catalyst converter replaced and that the "cat" price alone would be over $1000? I was like WTF? Everybody's price to fix my car ranged between $600- $1500. I had given up and had even posted my car on Craigslist to sell. Then my girlfriends aunt told me about the exceptional customer service and pricing at this shop that's under new management. I didn't make a big deal about it but after having posted my car for 2 weeks and realizing that either no one is gonna buy my car when it's going to cost over $1000 to fix, or that if they do want to buy it, I would have to sell it for over $3000 below its worth. As I've said, I'm going to school, so money IS an issue since I only make $8.75 an hour and trying to make ends meet. I realized that I would have to either fix my car and sell it to get ANY value, or continue to keep it. But then I would still need to get it fixed anyways because my birthday is coming up in a couple of weeks (no emissions no tags :( ) So I called my girlfriends aunt and got the name of the shop she raved about. It turns out to be Advance Auto Tech Inc, go figure the Inc? But upon entering, I got a warm greeting by who I guess to be the manager? After telling him my em mission issue he surprisingly gave me several choices. I of course opted for the cheapest choice. Which turned out to only be like $160 with tax. I was super sceptical because I didn't have this option before with the shops I checked out. I just got my emissions, and it passed with flying colors. Thanks Tony and Advance Auto...INC? ... still haven't figured the Inc out yet. But they were super nice and gave me such outstanding service that I felt a need to share. Check them out guys.

LexTech Lexus Repair of Atlanta
These guys are honest to the "T". I got a quote for extensive repair from a dealership in the Atlanta area and started reading reviews of LexTechs and thought I'd give them a call. They quoted me a full $1000 less than the dealership. I set the appointment for $3200 of repair and agreed to it. Two days before they were to do the work for $3200, Chad called to tell me Lexus had changed the price of the parts. I expected it to go up! He said Lexus had drastically reduced the price and he would be able to do the work for $2000. He COULD have just charged me the $3200 and I probably would never have known the difference. These are good people. DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!

Munich West
I just recently bought a new Volvo and took it into Munich West for your basic services and check through. They did a wonderful job. Fast, efficient, decent priced, and honest. They didn't try to get me to spend more then what I had planned to begin with. They told me what I could get away with for awhile and what should be worked on as soon as possible. Very polite and you can tell they care. I will be returning for sure, and I would recommend them to anyone.

Quantum Mechanics
Quantum has been our trusted auto service provider for years. They are steadfastly reliable, generous and smart about our multiple cars - now going on our 7th that we have taken to them. We trust them implicitly and recommend them without reluctance. They are not cheap but their pricing seems reasonable. Check "CarTalk" referrals and others online.

Fray's Auto Tech
Ive been dealing with Mr Fray for about ten years now. His shop wasn't always the best equipped but he's made drastic improvements in the years as of late. He's also a proficient business man, and very well informed of his Professional responsibility. I hope to do much business with his establishment in the future.

Gerber Collision & Glass
Have used them for glass repair when our car was broken into, and for body repair after an accident. We were pleased with the quality and speed of the work. While there were occasional lapses in communication, compared to many other similar places, we found the experiences to be positive and efficient.

LexTech Lexus Repair of Atlanta
I suppose I should be mad that a battery installed November, 2016, would be declared defunct in June, 2017. But not when LexTechs replaced it free of charge on warranty. Nice job, guys--always fair, professional, and trustworthy. That's why I remain a repeat customer.

Quantum Mechanics
They worked on my 2010 VW Jetta tdi and it runs great now. Matt was very informative about everything that was being done to my vehicle. I'm sure I would have paid much more at the dealer for and not been satisfied as much I am now.

Quantum Mechanics
THE BEST auto mechanics in the Atlanta area for foreign cars (Toyota Prius, in my case). They are very fair, honest and well-priced. Also, their new shop in Decatur is spotlessly clean and walkable to the Avondale MARTA station.
Tips & Advices
You should change your oil filter whenever you change your oil, that is, approximately every 7,500 miles.
A oil filter is a device that helps remove contaminants from motor oil as it passes through the engine. A pump pushed the oil through the filter where it is strained and goes back to the engine.
High-mileage oil contains special conditioners that are said to help prevent gaskets from drying out and thus preventing leaks. This can be beneficial to engines with many miles on them.
Synthetic oil costs more than conventional oil, but the price is offset by the need for less frequent oil changes due to the oil’s durability.
Tools needed to change your own oil include jack stands or ramps, a wrench, an oil filter wrench, an oil drip pan, funnel, replacement oil filter, and replacement oil.
