Golden Buddha Chinese Restaurant
I have dined here for at least the last twenty years. In recent years, the place has gotten very hit or miss. It seems to be coasting on its reputation and the fact that there are so many bad Chinese eateries in the area. To its credit, the service is consistently good. A friend and I had dinner there last night. First course of egg rolls should have been sent back at once. The egg rolls tasted old as if they had been fried hours (days?) before. The sizzling rice soup was satisfactory. My entree of Golden Buddha Egg Fu Yung had a strange taste. Mixed in with the other ingredients I discovered were chicken livers— a first ever for me with this dish in any Chinese restaurant. My friend’s shrimp fried rice had little to no taste. It was simply devoid of seasonings and the shrimp (Who knows where they were imported from?) were like rubber and tasteless as well. The fact that this place does a good business can mostly be attributed to its proximity to Emory and the fact that most of its customers seem willing to pay for overpriced, mediocre food.

Cookin Up a Storm
Absolutely delicious and charming and practical prepared meals, desserts and beverages, as well as a fantastic lunch to go menu with several made to order sandwiches (the Chicken Salad on sourdough is my fave!), dips (Try the super yummy Corn Dip with Fritos) and brownies, slices of fresh cakes and desserts, daily muffins and other exciting and creative culinary delights. And don't miss the unbelievable homemade mini cinnamon rolls and sausage balls for the perfect brunch dishes. The owner, Robin, is as sweet as her Vodka Chocolate Cake and as helpful and happy to see you when you walk in. Decatur is so lucky to have this great addition to the downtown food landscape. She even has special holiday menus for upcoming Thanksgiving and Christmas and any other winter holidays and celebrations. Run.....don't walk to Cookin Up A Storm first chance you get. Both your tummy and your soul will be glad you did! Thanks, Robin!

Winglanta
Wing Lanta has good wings. I love the fact that the wings are average sized and not small like a lot of other places. They have your conventional sauces like most wing spots, even a few extra if you like sauces mixed. The fries were good too. The only thing i didnt like was the fact that my drink that came with my combo was a canned drink. If i had a fountain drink i think i would've been a little bit more full. Since a lot of places dont keep up with the syrup in the drink fountains i won't bark to loud on that. They don't deliver but you can call ahead for a pickup order. They also make burgers, sandwiches, fish, and subs. I might go back for a philly one day. All in all i give it two thumbs up.

Applebee's
I have never been a big fan of this restaurant but my recent visit moves them up some on the restaurant food chain. They have changed their menu to include foods grilled over wood. I can't vouch for the other items on the menu but the burger I had was done just right. It came with a cheese beer source (Blue Moon beer) that was actually very good. I was able to change out my regular fries for sweet potato fries which is always a win for me. My server was great and friendly. And my drink on point. Maybe the next time I'm in a pinch I can try out another wood grilled menu item.

Etta V's Restaurant
Awesome food with very friendly staff! They make you feel right at home while you wait for your food. Once I got my food, looked at it and then tasted it, OMG you would have thought there was a little old lady in the kitchen soaking her feet in the pots and yes it was just that good! And to top it off the cakes are to die for, I ordered the red velvet and the chocolate, must say they are one of a kind! Go, you won't be disappointed!

Melton's App & Tap
Very family-friendly, casual dining restaurant that never fails to deliver good food. We moved nearby about 2.5 years ago and been dozens of times with no disappointments. With each adult order, kids eat free on Tuesday. Numerous choices of beer - on tap or bottle - and multiple TVs providing the adults a visual diversion.

Ted's Montana Grill
If you've ever wanted to try bison Ted's the place to do it. The bison steak it so tender and soft...you almost don't need a knife. You can even have a vison in the doem of a birger. I must say I've enjoyed that too. As a big fan of chocolate chip cookies they make pretty darn good one. I always enjoy eating there.

Leon's Full Service
Leon's Full Service is in a great location which gives you the opportunity to walk around to cute little shops after dining. I enjoyed the deviled eggs with a delicious mimosa then walked over to Jeni's Splendid for some ice creams.

Napoleon's Grille
Great atmosphere, definitely livens up on the weekend. Live music on Friday nights. The menu offers a wide variety and we have yet to have anything we didn't like. The rice bowls are delicious and the ingredients are very fresh.

Thumbs Up
Local eatery with tons of comfort food. They're known for their breakfast. The pancakes are good, I enjoyed an omelet or two before and I love their skillet heaps. I'm a big fan of potatoes and they load them in the skillet.

Just a moment...
