Jan. 24, 2017 had a vinyl fence installed at my second property: $5250 paid in full upon completion. After a couple of days they had to come back out & adjust gates as they were sinking. After the hurricane, my daughter who lives in that house, said the gates were not closing right. I called and a week went by with no response. Last Friday I called again. Today they called and without going out to assess the problem, told me it would cost $350. I refused and questioned this. After I described a completely different experience with another fence company that installed a vinyl fence on my primary property in 2011, she said she knows the owners of that company. Anyway that company came out in 2017 and replaced 3 slats damaged by my neighbor doing BB gun practice, at no charge. I regret not using them to do my daughter's fence. Their quote was higher and I let myself go with lower price. My bad. You get what you pay for. This lady hung up on me as well. I do not recommend Lifetime Fence.

Lifetime fence is very very unprofessional the woman in finance department is very rude and hung up on me because she wasn't understanding what I was asking...So she simply said "you know what ,,we don't need your business" and just hung up!! Hey who knows maybe she owns the lifetime fence and doesn't need the business ...thats okay too ..But a little patience and kindness would of been nice ...

Worst fence company ever!! They couldn't even install the gates because the guy who put the fence up did a terrible job. They told us they were going to come back that same week to fix his mistakes and install the gates, but it has been two weeks now and our fence is still incomplete! We haven't heard from them ever since. There are many other issues with the fence and the measurements, which I cannot get into details right now. I just wish we could have gone with Dave's fence instead.
Tips & Advices
Homeowners should work with a fencing contractor who is certified by or a member of one or more trade organizations, including American Fence Association or the North American Fence Contractors Association.
If a contractor requires an immediate decision, asks you to pay cash or doesn't provide an estimate.
  • Ask for portfolio examples
  • What's their reputation?
  • Is the work guaranteed?
  • Is there a warranty?
With exposure to the sun and the elements, wood fences are prone to cracking, warping and cupping. homeowners are encouraged to clean, seal and stain their fence at least every three years. Clean the fence with a specially formulated cleaner. After 15 to 20 minutes, use a pressure washer to remove any mold, mildew and debris from the fence. Then seal and stain the fence to protect it. An oil stain is recommended, as it penetrates the material and can maintain its condition for years.
Homeowners may use soap and water to clean off these materials, but they generally don't require much more than that. These options can be good for those that want a sturdy but low-touch fence.
