Ryckman Orthodontics
Overall, Rykman Orthodontics is a great place to get your braces! The whole place is inviting and cozy. Dr. Mike is lovely and very straight-forward about the process, and all the techs are fantastic as well! It's apparent that they genuinely care about each patient. My only criticism is that I had a lot of trouble with financing the final few payments of my braces, and was told conflicting information. Though it was originally said I could make payments on the final 500 dollars of the braces AFTER they came off, they called the morning of the removal date and suddenly said I had to pay that day. I'm not sure if there was some dishonesty going on or communication issues, but that certainly wasn't a pleasant experience. Again however, this was the only problem I ever had, and I would definitely recommend Rykman Orthodontics to anyone looking for a better smile! It has changed my life.

All of the staff at Dr. Ryckman's office are fantastic. Dr. Ryckman is very nice and takes the time to explain everything and make his patient's feel at ease. The receptionist are always pleasant and willing to answer any questions you have. My 12 year old son has Invisalign. He is doing very well with them. He only had a little discomfort during the first couple of weeks getting used to the trays. He plays a lot of sports and Invisalign has been perfect for that. We don't have to worry about any busted mouths that can occur with traditional braces. Plus, he still gets to enjoy the foods that he loves since he can remove the trays to eat. I would definitely recommend Dr. Ryckman's office and Invisalign!!!

Ryckman Orthodontics
This is my second time around getting braces and I have to say that I am really having the best experience at Ryckman Orthodontics! I was nervous and a little embarrassed to be getting braces again at 27 but this place has made me feel so comfortable about the entire process. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful and Dr. Ryckman is super kind and knowledgeable. If any adults are looking to get a great smile or parents are looking for a place to take their children, I would absolutely recommend this place without a doubt! They also offer Invisalign or clear braces for those not hip to the metal braces. Seriously, go get a consultation at Ryckman Orthodontics!

Ryckman Orthodontics
I certainly can give Ryckman Orthodontics my highest praise for a job well executed! Our granddaughter, Leah, was more of a challenge than most patients. There were baby teeth that refused to come out until extracted, then one permanent tooth that refused to emerge. We had surgery scheduled for that tooth when Dr Ryckman thankfully noticed some movement. Finally, the tooth emerged and was included in the teeth alignment. This extended the usual length of time that Leah wore braces. All the while, the staff was very friendly and worked with us wonderfully well to reach a beautiful smile.

Thank you Dr. Ryckman and your great team! Since both of my children now have beautiful smiles we will miss you all. We couldn't be happier. I'm sure it wasn't easy for the kids to be wearing braces but you all made them feel comfortable and they always looked forward to their visits. Awesome results, great prices and we felt like we were treated like family. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ryckman Orthodontics
We have been coming to this Orthodontics office since my daughter was eight years old. She is now finishing up her last few months in braces. My son just recently got his braces off and is enjoying the benefits of his new smile. The staff has always been extremely friendly. Dr. Ryckman, (and Dr. Buerschen), always answered any/all of our questions. I speak highly of this orthodontics office anytime I get the chance.

Ryckman Orthodontics
My daughter got her braces through Ryckman orthodontics. We have been pleased and happy with the experience from beginning to end. Dr. Ryckman and his staff were consistently great to work with. I would refer these folks to my closest of friends and family. In fact I do have other members of my family that are currently under Dr. Ryckman scare.

Ryckman Orthodontics has some of the nicest staff that will always greet you with a smile and make your day a little brighter. Not only that but you come out with a great smile of your own.halfway through my schedule and I hardly notice the braces at all because the staff does such a great job.

Tips & Advices
While going to the orthodontist can be difficult, sometimes it's necessary. If you are concerned about tooth alignment, feel your jaw shift, or are experiencing problems like difficulty chewing or grinding your teeth, it's time to see an orthodontist.
There are generally three types of braces patients can be fitted for at the orthodontist:
  • The more traditional option, bands, wrap around most of a patient's tooth.
  • Brackets are the most popular, applied directly to the tooth in metal or plastic form.
  • Lingual braces are brackets attached to the back of teeth.
People of all ages can wear braces to straighten their teeth, but it is most common to be fitted for these adjustments between the ages of 10 and 14. This is the time when teeth are better able to be straightened because the head and mouth are still developing.
The American Board of Orthodontics recommends finding a dental specialist that is board-certified, offers free or reduced-price consultations, and displays qualities such as trustworthiness, ability to communicate effectively, and attentiveness.
Orthodontists must complete a four-year undergraduate program to gain admission to dental school. After earning a Doctor of Dental Science degree at an accredited four-year dental program, students must then either complete a post-degree training program or one to two years residency in orthodontics. Then they need to earn a state license in order to practice. Certain states also require board certification.
