Mohawk West Tire Auto Center
mohawk west: got there at 5:15 knowing they close at 6:30 for a 10 minute oil change when guy behind counter immediately dismissed me and say there was no way he could fit me in. after looking into the service bays and not seeing a single car in there i shook my head and said 6:30 huh. he just smirked as i walked out. went next door to mobil 1 and they took me right in even though they closed in 10 minutes. workers were happy to help me and professional. i will never go to mohawk again.

Autotech-Saab Specialist
George, the owner of Autotech, is an excellent mechanic and on websites from Yelp to Google, he is recommended by nearly everyone. He is honest, hard working, and not that expensive compared to dealerships. While he focuses on Saab, Subaru, Honda, Acura, BMW, and Audi and has the computers to handle all those brands, he also does other brands as well such as Buick and Volvo. I cannot say enough about him and he services my 10 year old Saab with 140,000+ miles and my two year old Subaru with 38,000 miles. He is able to keep them running for minimal cost and even will recommend non-brand parts for the Saab if he thinks a third party provider will be better. You cannot do better than Autotech.

Danbury AutoWerks
Do not bring your vehicle to Danbury auto does not werks! I've brought my vehicle there for front brakes and control arms and the vehicles front wheels squeal like a pig being tortured! For 3 times now I have brought it back and it continues to squeal loudly. They tell me that they don't hear it meanwhile its embarrasing and obnoxoisly annoying. Also I'm a woman and I believe that they thought I would go away by now and that they used cheap poor quality parts. I'm filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and looking into a small claims case. Don't take a chance on this place if you want quality reliable work done on your vehicle. You won't get it here!!

LNG Auto Tech
Extraordinarily rude on the phone. I called and asked what their website was so that I could check it out and he yelled "We already have a site!" and hung up.I'm not trying to sell to you, I WAS trying to buy from you.

Mohawk West Tire Auto Center
They're one of the worst. Don't waste your time or money there. We brought our car in and had a good idea as to what the problem was and asked them specifically to consider looking at the fuel pump. $220 later for a couple of gaskets ($30 in parts at the most) along with the recommendation to take it to a transmission shop because they said the tranny was going, the car still ran like garbage. Ended up going on our hunch and got the fuel pump changed (NOT at Mohawk) and what do you know, car runs great. No transmission issues. Mohawk doesn't care to listen to its customers and charges you as much as they can for as little work as possible.

Mohawk West Tire Auto Center
Rude and unprofessional. There are better auto centers that are close enough to be visible from Mohawk's driveway.
Tips & Advices
Using a variety of tools and processes, many of which require specialized training, auto body mechanics primarily repair cosmetic and structural damage to vehicles after accidents occur. They can also enhance a vehicle’s appearance and performance by replacing and adding new parts to a vehicle’s body.
This depends on the severity of the work that needs to be done. Something such as paintless dent repair for a few small dents can take an hour. Whereas auto body repairs for damages caused by a major accident can take multiple days to correct.
All auto body parts can be repaired but there is a threshold for the level of repairs possible. Parts can be damaged beyond repair and would need to be wholly replaced.
Auto body parts can be made from a wide variety of materials, usually based on what the part’s purpose is. Vehicle frames body panels, bumpers, roof racks, and other items that need to be strong and durable are usually constructed from steel, which is known for its durability and resistance to rust and high temperatures. But aluminum is quickly becoming a popular material of construction due to its lightweight yet durable nature. Body kits and other aftermarket parts like spoilers and hoods can be constructed from one form of plastic or another.
Yes, the vast majority of car makes and models have aftermarket parts available for many of their components. But higher-end vehicles typically have less aftermarket parts available since they often use specialized materials and manufacturing processes that are difficult to duplicate for many aftermarket manufacturers.
