This is the ultimate review from a picky girl who can cook, and loves good gourmet food with a grandfather that is a gourmet chef, so read up! I've read other reviews about Outback, and some of the dishes selected are all wrong folks! I know that it's a steackhouse, and one would assume their specialty is steak, however friends and I know that anything but steak is great. Prime Rib is easy to make people, it's always rare. My recommended dish are Alice Springs Chicken, be sure to get the honey mustard sauce that it comes with, and appitizer is the crab cakes be sure it comes with the diced tomatoes in cilantro as it adds flavor.

Compared to other Elephant Bars I've been to, this one has a much better decor, a roomier dining floor, is more dimly lit for a fancier dining experience, has better food, and serves its food really fast! The service is also friendly. The downside to such a good restaurant is that it's extremely popular and the wait can be long.
4.Villa Fresh Italian Kitchen
94 Serramonte Ctr
Come to Villa Italian Kitchen at 94 Serramonte Center, Daly City, CA for a delicious Italian meal. Villa Italian Kitchen was founded with one store, one family and one concept in 1964, when our founder, Michele “Michael” Scotto brought his authentic old-world recipes from Naples, Italy to New York City. Michele’s commitment to hospitality, quality ingredients, like homemade dough, 100% whole milk mozzarella and fresh sauce and the strict loyalty to those now famous recipes, built the business. From that first Villa Pizza that opened in 1964, next to the CBS/Ed Sullivan Theater on Broadway, to nearly 300 Villa Italian Kitchen restaurants later, our commitment to quality and genuine hospitality remains the basis of our foundation. In 2014, Villa Italian Kitchen and its parent company Villa Restaurant Group celebrated its 50th Anniversary. Today, Villa is under the leadership of Michele’s two sons Biagio “Ben” Scotto and Anthony Scotto. Together, they continue the vision and passion of their father extending the genuine hospitality inspired by their father.

This place is predominately take-out but they have seating for about 20 customers. The food is ordered at the counter and their orders run about $7-8 but some daily specials are about $5 and you can order mini serviings (1 scoop of rice instead of 2, 1 scoop of macaroni) w/your entree. They have pork lau lau (tasty, sometimes dry), kaluha pig, chicken katsu (good), BBQ beef/chicken, haupia - 99 cents for a sm cup, spam misubi, seafood/beef platter. $2. 4 plate servings will run about $28. The mac has a nice flavor but not for those who dislke the large amt of mayonnaise used. I really enjoy eating here when I want Hawaiin food, but feel very thirsty a few hours later.

My Dad, Dan Harrington worked here when he was younger and brought me to Bravo since I can remember. I might have moved away from San Fran, but the taste of Bravo Pizza always lingers in my mind. Not only do they have the best pizza (without all the uptight and ""frilly"" qualities of our more modern take on pizzas), but they also have an amazing wait staff and manager! Pete is the real deal, he gets down and dirty and never count out the hard working cooks. Make sure to go to this place when you get a chance! P.S. (their ranch is also one of my favorites).

Amazing dim sum. More expensive than the norm, but so worth the price. When I go to Yank Sing, I tend to feel like I am overpaying but somehow when I come here, I never feel like I overpaid even though I know it costs more than the norm. \r \r Anyway when you come here, expect to get what you can get everywhere else, but made better. Expect to have dishes here from other Asian cultures like Taiwanese fried onion pancakes. Expect to have your duck come served on a platter with actual garnishments (not a normal way to serve duck). Expect that if you speak Chinese you will get better service. \r \r I don't think the service is worse than any other dim sum place. When I asked for iced water, I got it, and after that the men, kept on filling up our cups without being asked. We got forks in a timely manner, and the stuff that we wanted that wasn't coming out on the carts: when we ordered it from the server, it came out within 5 minutes. \r \r The worse thing was really, the 45 minute wait on Sunday morning for 3 people. Again, go to Starbucks first, then go here, put your name down, get your ticket, and enjoy your coffee while you wait. Cuz the wait is not going away. \r \r I have been here when it opens, and there's already a line 30 minutes before on a weekend. Get used to it, or don't come here. I think it's worth the wait. With dim sum remember, that once you sit down the food is almost instantaneous as the carts roll around right away.

My family are regulars here.\r \r When we step in, we usually have pretty prompt seating (at our usual table). I love this place because they mix up all kinds of good Asian food.. and I love variety! \r \r What do I recommend? Definitely start with the roti cani. It's what the guy is flipping and spinning in the middle of the restaurant. That guy has skills because roti can be hard to be prepare. Then I like the eggplant w/ shrimp and the sizzling beef. yummmm.. Also, the pineapple fried rice is really great (it also is served inside of a cut out pineapple). \r \r And dessert... I always get the FBI. (Friend Banana with Ice Cream). The way they make it is Thai style, dipped in batter and fried. \r \r The food is definitely affordable and the service is really great. They always remember my parents and we are always treated really nice. Thats why we always come back!

Highly recommended. A variety of choices on their menu and the prices are reasonable. I love this place, it's in my neighborhood, so now I don't need to drive to San Francisco for good chinese food. This place also opens very late, good for late night snack or just hang out with friends.

For less than $10.. you can have some soup, fried chicken wings, rice, egg roll, and pork chops!\r \r I like the avacado shake there. Just like how my dad used to make it when I was a kid, using REAL avacados and not that flavored mixed stuff.\r \r When I'm hungry and I want home food.. this is as close as it gets, and you get the most for your buck!

One would think that since it is inside a ""shopping mall"" the food would suck. It is actually BETTER than the restaurant version of Manila Bay Cuisine. If you happen to be at Serramonte Mall, watch how quickly the line fills up. They have great food selection, lots of staff and quick check out. The food they serve taste just like home made Filipino food...at least I think so! I use to go there all the time until I moved. But if and when I am at that mall, I wouldn't pass up a chance to buy something, even just dessert.

Don't mislead that CORIYA is a Korean hotpot, it's just a name. It's a Taiwanese style hotpot. There's another location in San Francisco. The owner for both location is very friendly. I like this place better because it's bigger and the one in San Francisco is always crowded - same food, though. This place is clean and the restroom is clean, too. The service is good and very friendly.\r I always stop by to eat at this place every time I visit the bay area. The food is fresh and clean. Sure they don't have Korean pancake, but it's not a Korean place. They have variety of meat both marinated for the skillets/bbq like, and un-marinated for the hotpot/shabu shabu style. They have pork, pork chop, beef, chicken, lamb, seafood, vegetable. The broth is a simple seafood broth that can be regular or spicy. It might seem watery but you adjust the flavor to your liking by adding available ingredients (spices, vegetable, black mushroom, shrimp, fishballs...). Make sure to take out the vegetable after awhile so not to over cooked it. You put in the thin sliced meat or seafood to cook it long enough and dip it in their sauces. If you are not familiar with the sauces, ask the server and they will gladly explain and suggest what to do. There's not much differences of what they have with lunch and dinner, so just go to lunch. Don't expect great dessert, not much to choose from - sort of like something sweet to end the meal. They have shaved ice for fruits, preserved sweet beans, jello, and condensed milk - typical Chinese dessert. Want great dessert, go across to a bakery. With how much you stuffs yourself, you don't really need more dessert.\r If you want an expensive pretentious place just to show off your culinary academia, this is not that place. If you want good unpretentious food, then go to this place. Expect to smell like the place afterwards which, will make you hungry again when you smell the smoke from the food on your clothing and exposed skin.

I have to admit, when I first saw the outside of Fung Wah Restaurant I was pretty reluctant to enter; but I am so happy I did. The menu was filled with all types of food that you would usually see in any Chinese restaurant, but the difference in this place was the price; everything was amazingly cheap. The service there was excellent as I quickly had a fun conversation with the owner Li. She was very helpful recommending to me the specialty they are known for. The way she explained the food I couldn?t just settle for one dish, so I ordered 3 entrees. I would of order more (planning to have leftover for lunch) but Li suggested that I had more than enough food and shouldn?t order anything else. I was shock on the honesty she showed, I mean who doesn?t want to make more money. As the food came, everything looked delicious and tasted great. The food was hot and plentiful. When the check came the bill was only 15 dollars including tax, I gave in total 20 including tip. Once again I was shocked at the price for the food I received. One warning though, Fung Wah gets extremely busy and the wait can sometime be as long as 30 min, but trust me its worth it. Definitely one of my favorite spots to eat.

This is a small family owned business, not much room to eat but they are very friendly. Less than $2 a stick for BBQ chicken or Pork. YUM can't wait to come back again.

I've been going to this place for years and it is REALLY CHEAP!!! It's a family run operation and they are very nice people. Here's my favorite combo: Shrimp & Vegetable Tempura, Korean Beef, Steamed Rice, House Salad, Miso Soup and Hot Tea...all that for $6.00! (see REALLY CHEAP!) Another standout dish is the Chicken Soba: A huge portion of soba noodles, topped with tons of fresh veggies and chicken in a tasty mild sauce. The sushi standards are very good. More than anything this place makes you happy to spend your money here. Great value, great food, great family.

Been coming here since 2000. Family-own-business. Husband is the cook and delivery guy. Wife is cashier and server. Back in 2000, they just had baby. Wife was taking care of the baby at the register while was also busy taking care of customers' wishes. We started going here since we thought we would like to help their business. Wasn't the only reason though because the food was good. Not exceptionally excellent, but as we said, good. For their prices, it consider pretty good. Prices are quite lower than most Chinese restaurants. Maybe because they don't have to pay employees. Service is quite fast. Wife is nice and serves us well. Don't forget to ask for promo, if your order is $20 or more, you get free chow mein, anything you like, vegetable/chicken/pork/prawn etc. We usually get prawn chow mein. If you go for lunch time, most menu are under $4.

Their siopao is really good. However, cannot really review anything else in this menu because the servers do not want to serve anything else despite the many other choices in the menu. I went to buy 'tokwa't baboy' and I was told to order something else because it takes too long for them to make it.... I wonder if the owner knows about this. I came back a couple of times after but experienced he same thing. I gave them a chance but i was disappointed!!!!

I am a regular sushi eater. I go out for sushi almost twice a week. I have tried many many different japanese restaurants and this Tokyo Tempura House has the worst and tiniest sushi of all. Although it may seem like a a good deal, $2.99 for a six pieces salmon roll or california roll. However, the rolls are so tiny that you can't even taste anything. I ordered a dragon roll for $12.95 and came with a free caterpillar roll, they were the smallest dragon and caterpillar rolls that I have ever seen. Customer service was poor also. The waitress looked grumpy and was not very friendly. The sushi chef was yaking with his friend in chinese the whole time while making sushi and he kept turning around to watch basketball game on the TV behind him. No wonder the quality of the sushi was so bad. If you want budget japanese food with good quality, I recommend that you try Spiral or Akagi in San Bruno or KiKi and Kitaro in San Franciso.
