Georgia Carpet Industries
I ordered Shaw Shingle Creek 2 from them and i was given 2-3 weeks time from date of order for my shipment but for some quality reasons i was told that they won't be able to fulfill my order on given time. Georgia Carpet listen to my concern and offered me to upgrade the same color carpet to shingle creek 3 which was better carpet then 3 and more expensive also but they did the upgrade free of charge and was able to deliver the carpet on earlier committed time. I was very satisfied with the carpet and it came out beautifully when it was installed at my home. The reason i ordered from them was because they had best priced offered including shipment. I am in Charlotte NC but after spending almost 1 month of my time in researching and comparing prices i found Georgia carpet price was almost 1000$ less then what other shaw dealers had to offered in my area. I am very happy with my decision and would recommend them personally.

American Carpet Wholesalers
I found some Armstrong Urethane Parquet flooring (Windsor, natural/better grade) on clearance at ACW. The price was really good, especially since it was marked "free shipping" Flooring can be expensive to ship. My flooring was delivered to the end of my driveway in less than a week and the shipping really was free! The flooring is beautiful and arrived in perfect condition. Thank you American Carpet Wholesalers for quickly delivering exactly the flooring I ordered at a REALLY GOOD PRICE!

Excellent customer service! Told Donna that I was extending a wood floor that was put down over 15 years ago and wanted to send her some pieces that I had left over to get her to check to see if their current stock would match well enough. She said "let me do this for you... send you several cuts from a box and you can lay them on the floor to see if they match for you" She sent seven pieces. #goingabovewhatisexpected

Quality Product & Very Helpful Employee's - I have been using Georgia Carpet for the last several months, the quality of the product is very good and the helpful employees have made the issues I have been having with the shipping company a real joy to work with. They have even sent an inspector to verify the issues with the shipping company.

By far the best place to purchase hardwood flooring! Garry (the sales representative) was very helpful. From the first time I called, I could tell that I would be treated with superb service. He was very patient with all my concerns and questions, being a first time buyer of hardwood floors. Thank you Garry!!!!"

Tips & Advices
In most states, contractors are required to have a license before taking a job. Some states also require registration. To be licensed, contractors must pass an exam and meet certain qualifications that prove he or she is a competent flooring contractor. Registration is simply a list of who will be performing a job.
The time it takes to install flooring depends on the type of flooring and the size of the room or rooms involved in the project. In one day, a typical contractor can usually install up to 2,000 square feet of carpet, 600 square feet of hardwood or laminate, or 400 square feet of tile or stone.
  • Do you have a professional license, insurance, and a business liability policy?
  • Who will work on the project?
  • Do you subcontract, and do you screen workers and have insurance policies to cover them?
  • Do you have references or examples of your work I can see?
  • Do you charge for an in-home estimate?
  • What type of flooring is best for my home in terms of architectural consistency, environmental influences (such as whether a certain type of flooring will be affected by humidity in my area), and durability?
Legally, insurance is not necessary, but it's a good idea for flooring contractors to have it. When hiring a flooring contractor, ask whether the business is insured. If it's not, consider that a red flag.
A flooring contractor should know the pros and cons of each flooring option. These might include pricing, time of installation, durability, and average lifespan of the material.
