Merriman Park Automotive and Body Shop
After four years of using this shop I have decided to move on. I rate them at 3 out of 5 stars, which in my mind equals a 60% rating. They are on the borderline of being a decent shop, but they have some issues that stand in their way.1. They do not communicate well. They will do the absolute minimum in regards to reaching out to you about your car, and when they do, it's a brief synopsis with very limited options.2. They just don't do the best work. I don't know exactly what their mechanic's expertise is, but it seems to me that he can be limited in his abilities. His work is also sloppy. Dirt and grime is usually around the work area of the interior of the car, he broke off pieces of the dashboard of my truck on my last visit, and it seems like his attention to detail is fair at best.3. If you hint at dissatisfaction or frustration, they will respond right back at you with frustration and try to blame you for some reason. Their mechanic is very curt and can get snarky if you ask too many questions and the owner of the shop seems extremely detached from the real work that’s going on – as far as I’m concerned, she just runs the office. Which leads to my next point...4. Their customer service is non-existent. They do not treat you like a customer - they treat you like you're a family friend that is wanting their car fixed for free. Their attitude about the job they do is that they are doing you a favor, not providing you with a service. They do not go above and beyond, and only when they make a mistake do they try to make things right - which for me, has been more than half the times I've been there. Here are my personal experiences:I've had an A/C tube failed to be re-installed after a fan was fixed, which resulted in the tube bouncing around the engine compartment, banging against the other engine fans. I've had them repair wiring on a door, only to fail less than a year later (I got the dealer to fix that one). The last straw was when I had them work on my truck for two weeks, only to drive it home and realize that the radio wouldn't turn on and that my interior dash lights were not plugged in - I returned them the vehicle and was assured that they could fix it while I wait. I showed up when the mechanic was "at lunch" after he told me to come up there about 30 minutes before, and I waited an hour for him to come back. It took him another 30 minutes to realize that he probably wasn't going to get everything fixed while I wait, also expressing his doubt that the radio worked when I first showed up... He begrudgingly offered to drive me home, which I denied - I didn't want him to think he was doing me any favors. They kept my truck for another two weeks and said that they'll fix it "free of charge" - like I was going to let them charge me for something they didn't fix in the first place. When the truck was ready, the owner tried to call me one time but for some reason got a "the owner is not accepting phone calls at this time" (which is weird because I had received calls that day as well as that entire week). She never called me back or left me a message to tell me the truck was ready. When I finally called she said it had been ready for a week. She said she tried to call me - but only documented one call that didn't go through and she never left a message.You might be thinking, "Why did you keep bringing your cars to them?" The answer to that is that they are a community shop that has served my home for many years and I believe in supporting our local businesses. But the fact is, they're not the only shop around my house and my loyalty to them is exhausted.If you have minor/simple work to be done I'm sure this shop can handle it. However, anything too complicated and I guarantee you it won't be worth the hassle working with this shop. Bring in your oil changes and brakes to these guys, but leave the hard stuff for a more capable shop.
I own a 2013 BMW 4series, and recently during the ridiculous weather conditions in Dallas.I was involve in a hit and run, by another vehicle on my rear left corner. The damages made me furious. I reported the damages to my insurance company and they told me every thing was covered but I had to pay a deductible. So I was driving to work the next day already been referred to service king by my insurance company. Than I passed by Texas Elite. Since I still had to take my car around lunch time to service king, I decided to stop by Texas Elite real quick for an Estimate. So I enter the collision center first thing I notice is this place was packed with with people in their lot , second thing I notice hard working man in uniform which was a good sign that this shop wasn't a hole in the wall. I was greeted immediately by one of the supervisors. I have to tell you this man knew his cars and especially how to treat customers. He took photos and about 10 min my estimate was ready. What were the odds that this place even existed? In Oak cliff. I saw the work they achieved on a Audi A4 I was seriously impress. The supervisor defitnetly won me over when he said he will help me with my deductible. During lunch time I received a call from Texas Elite's receptionist, she told me she got in contact with my insurance company and sent the necessary paper work. I didn't think twice in dropping off my car with service king since it was a drive from my job. After work I arranged the drop off. A week and a half later I picked up my vehicle and it was perfect again. The color was a match! In response to someone else's review on yelp.. this paint did not look like home Depot paint at all.I loved the work and quick service provided by this collision center. I definitely know we're to recommend my family and associates. Thanks guys! - Mrs.Travels
Lindberg Collision Center
Wrecking your car is never pleasant. But dealing with the team at Lindberg Collision makes the experience SO much less stressful! From the time they pick up the phone until you pick up your beautifully restored vehicle, everyone is completely focused on ensuring you are totally satisfied and happy. Tracy runs a top notch shop that puts quality and customer service at the forefront. I never waited. All my questions were fully answered - I got lots of information I didn't even think to ask about. When I got there on a Monday morning, they had a rental car ready and waiting for me - no hassles - no stress - unbelievable! His pricing was incredibly fair and reasonable - no big surprises...I knew there might be something not visible in the estimate once they took off my bumper, and when he called to tell me about the hiccup (I knew the kind of damage I had done - so expected a call), he had a repair versus replace solution that saved me significant money. AND - he finished 2 days ahead of schedule! The repair work is beautiful - looks as good as the day I bought it...even detailed the interior (a big job!). He also took the time to buff out the wear and tear dings around my car - no charge - just because he's a really nice guy. That's the kind of business he runs. He genuinely cares about his customers. I really hope I won't have another need for body work - sadly, my track record says I will (ha!). I will ALWAYS return to Tracy at Lindberg. This is the best experience I have ever had with auto service of any kind. Actually, it is some of the best customer service I have experienced in any industry. Awesome! Fantastic! Absolutely recommend!!
When Bryce approached us about getting our hail damage taken care of, we thought the company's promise of $0 deductible, no cost to us, and a free rental car while they worked on ours was too good to be true. They even offered us a $200 customer incentive to be paid on delivery of our completed car. Who does that? Before committing to anything, we read several online reviews, and were still unsure. Then we had a family member who is an attorney check the fine print, and he told us it seemed like a valid deal. So, we spoke to Gabe, the owner, and made arrangements to have our car picked up. The only thing we had to do was call our insurance company to get a claim number. After that, Progressive worked directly with DFW Storm Solutions, and a week later we had our car back (delivered to our house by Frank who was very personable) PLUS a check. Everyone we talked to at DFW Storm Solutions was pleasant and helpful, the entire process was quick and easy, and my husband was so happy to finally have all those dings out of our car. On top of that, when we got our car back, it was cleaned inside and out! We knew they'd wash the outside, but having the interior done as well was, in my opinion, above and beyond. Great work; great customer service!! Would highly recommend this company to anyone needing body work on their vehicle - especially dents from hail damage. And get this, even if the damage occurred over a year ago, it's not too late to get it fixed. I believe you just have to file a claim within two years of the incident. Isn't that great?!
Car Guyz Collision Center
Great Experience and Service!I scratched the driver side of my vehicle against a pillar, which damaged the majority of the molding, some paint and some of my wheel and door handle. I took it to Car Guyz and received great service and advice for going forward about fixing the damage to my car. Ben, the owner gradually walked me through the process and how long it would take to fix the damages. I took my car for multiple car estimates from mom and pop repair shops to established dealerships and all quote the damage higher than I was willing and wanted to pay. When I talked to Ben he showed me what needed to be replaced and when I could expect the damages to be repaired. There was no over selling of his services, just plain spoken and right to the point. I was a bit nervous and weary of the shop because it seemed to good to be true and it is a smaller shop, but after speaking to Ben he eased my worries. The estimate he quoted to me was exact and with what my insurance company suggested and I only had to spend HALF my deductible!!! It was repaired in greater time than I expected and all that was wrong with my car from the damages was right. They did an excellent job on my car. I highly recommend Car Guyz to ANY AND EVERYONE! And if I ever run into problems again in the future I will use their services again. Please give them a chance, you won't regret it.
EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!My husband and I have purchased five vehicles from Parks Auto Sales. After having visited other dealerships and being turned off by dishonest and untrustworthy sales persons, our visit to Parks Auto Sales was a breath of fresh air! I must say this dealership is top notch. WOW.... what an experience, this is not your ordinary dealership. These guys are not only helpful, but they aren't pushy when it comes to helping you choose your car. The first visit we just browsed their inventory, and we were greeted immediately by both Mr. Parks and his sons as soon as we arrived. When we were ready to make a purchase they were very helpful in making sure we could afford the vehicle. They also helped us with a very reasonable downpayment, and connected us with an insurance agent for affordable car insurance. Since they report to the credit bureau we have have both been able to re-build our credit just by making our car payments every week.They are a family owned business and they are all very polite, respectful and helpful. It's also very refreshing to hear KCBI 90.9 playing outside and inside everytime time we visit this dealership. I have no doubts that we will be visiting Parks Auto Sales again!
Not sure why all the negative reviews. We (the wife and i) had a great experience from start to finish.Everyone we dealt with were both professional and knowledgeable. Our salesman Christopher walked us through all our options based on what we felt comfortable with as a down payment and monthly payment.Based on our income which is small as we are retired and on Social Security.(And without the highest credit score---i know this, it was never mentioned by them however) Chris was able to find both a vehicle we liked and with payments we could afford. Yes it took some time,and we had to wait while the vehicle was transported from another DriveTime. But the point is--we left with a very nice vehicle. Not to mention we drove to Garland from Wills Point and had no desire to come back the next day.Everyone we came in contact with was great. Thank you all--Christopher,Karl,Jamere,and Randell. On a side note--and more than likely not politically correct but Randell is not a he--but she is a very nice young lady.Again i have no idea why all the negative reviews---im an old Vietnam Vet,if your a vet,give them a try. If u aren't happy blame me. If i live long enough to pay this one off--i'll buy another from them.
Called and talked to Felipe. Went and test drove a few cars. Now REMEMBER, the majority of these cars are bought at Auction. At Auction, they are not allowed to test drive. They can start them, and visually check. NO PRESALE INSPECTION. Knowing that, I test drove a couple cars and decided on one I liked. Did NOT buy that day. Went and shopped around some more and returned several days later. Test drove car again. Got down under it, into it. Looked for leaks, damages etc. NOTHING. Bought car. Met Simon (owner). On my way home from Dallas to Carrollton the transmission started acting up. Apparently once it got up to temp it started lurching pretty badly. Called Simon. It was 5:30 on a Saturday and they close at 6. He had 5000.00 of my money. He told me to bring it back, he would wait.Upon my return, Simon met me in the parking lot. Was very apologetic. Had my money in his hand. He was TOTALLY PROFESSIONAL. Explained that sometimes they miss things. He offered my to look at other cars. HE EVEN OFFERED ME TO TAKE ONE HOME FOR SEVERAL DAYS to see if I like it, and if so, then buy it. This guy EARNED the right to get my business.
I heard about DFW Storm Solutions through a co-worker of mine after they had gotten some work done. They were impressed with what the company offered, so I decided to finally get my hail damage looked at. My first impression was a phone call with the owner, Gabriel. He was personable and knowledgeable as he explained the process. The next day, he came and personally picked up my car from my office and left me a rental car AT HIS EXPENSE. (Yes, you read that right - he covered my rental car AND, I might add, my deductible!) By the end of the day, he called with my estimate and as soon as my insurance company sent an adjuster out, he got the ball rolling on the repairs. When my car was finished, he brought it back to me at work and picked up the rental. When I came outside to exchange keys, I immediately noticed that my oxidized headlight had been cleaned! I had never mentioned that to him - he just took care of it at no extra charge. Overall, I was incredibly impressed with the service I received. The repairs were done in a timely manner and Gabriel made the process as painless as possible.
