Menon, Vani S
Dr. Menon was very personable, friendly and kind and not that sanitized, aloof, clinical mannerism I often encounter. She took the time to listen to all our concerns, was very investigative and thorough in her approach, and not only explained, but even taught us about the system in play, so we could make the best decision about the different treatment options, without pressuring us to take any particular course. We left relieved and grateful to have been treated so well and with such dignity. Definitely recommend her for her knowledge and ability to relate and interact with people in a professional, yet compassionate manner.

Carrell Wb Memorial Clinic
The Carrell Clinic Spine Center is high above any spine facility I have ever done business with. I feel these doctor's are some of the best in the nation. It is obvious to you on your first appointment with one of their spine surgeons. They each have a caring personality and while being thorough, they stay on whatever your issue(s) are until they can fully diagnose your problem, then they each make a plan to help you get better. My personal favorite, who happens to be my doctor, is Dr. Andrew Clavenna. He is smart, caring, kind and very humble. It's very apparent that he is in this field because he genuinely cares and wants to help you. He's a dying breed. If you are ever in need of a spine surgeon and only want the best, look no further! Thank you, Dr. Clavenna, and all the Carrell Clinic doctors. We are greatful for your service!

Live Oak Counseling
I would advise against setting Don Greever. My session with him was incredibly insulting and unprofessional. Someone working in this field should realize that the things patients tell them are not always easy to say. I was told that I am too uneducated to be anything more than a follower. I'm too uneducated to be a leader or to stand up for my values, and when I argued he refused to see me anymore. It would seem to me that someone as educated as Mr Greever in human needs and behavior, would be able to remain professional through a difference of opinion, but this was not the case. He wants to tell toy WHAT to think, not help to train you in a more healthy thought process. Imagine if we taught our youth that until they reached their Masters degree, they were only allowed to be followers. That's ludicrous. I have never been treated as sub human as I was today, and I advise anyone looking for a genuine, caring, and empathetic counselor to bypass this option, and continue your search. (Side note: I graduated Summa Cum Laude)

Dr. Kalamani Rachel Dharma, MD
They have a great walk in clinic and you don't wait long to get an appointment to see your doctor. Fast pace Exam and quick. I always get treated good. This is the most professional and honest place you will ever find. They are prompt, courteous and up front and do not recommend useless procedures. The best clinic in Dallas. I love the doctors here. They always take good care of us. Highly recommended.

Absolutely pleased with my first mammogram. The front desk girl was sweet, happy, professional. The next lady that did my mammogram was super! She had been doing it for 10+years, made me feel so at ease. I wasn't sure what to expect but I cannot complain one bit. Super happy with the Center. Thank you, I'll be coming back every 6 mos.

Everyone was very patient and kind. I was treated with respect and care. They explained everything clearly and answered every question I had. I even had a pleasant conversation with a nurse. Would definitely recommend. I can't even think of anything they could improve on. Really nice and helpful people. The doctor who saw me even helped me with other health issues! Thanks Women's Clinic.

ANA M Mercau MD
This office is one of the worst run that I've ever experienced inside or outside of the medical field. It took multiple calls and messages, which were never returned, to even schedule an appointment, which was scheduled 5 months in the future and then cancelled last minute.I was promised to be put on a waiting list for a cancellation slot and appointment, but never heard from them over a 5 month period. After cancelling my appointment they offered to put me back on a waiting list for the next available appointment. I declined. So if you want REALLY bad service, this is the place to get it.

I had a wonderful experience at Women's Clinic in 2010-2011 during my pregnancy. The office is modern and nicely decorated. Suzee at the front desk is friendly and remembers me by name as well -- even when I haven't been in to see them for several months. I work in the medical field and will tell you that is a hard skill to learn. They are wonderful.
Tips & Advices
This depends on the facility. Patients should call to find out if they'll need a referral from their physician prior to making an appointment.
Aside from hyperbaric oxygen treatment, most wound care centers offer:
  • Debridement: The removal of dead skin and tissue surrounding the wound. This can be done surgically, using a whirlpool bath, syringes, enzymes that dissolve the tissue, or wet dressings that dry on the wound and absorb the dead tissue.
  • Dressing: Wrapping the wound in a protective film, gauze, gel, or foam.
  • Compression stockings: Tight-fitted fabric sheaths that encourage blood flow.
  • Artificial skin: A covering that is applied to the wound for several days as it heals.
  • Ultrasound: The use of sound waves to promote healing.
  • Growth factor therapy: The use of materials naturally produced by the body to encourage quick cell growth.
  • Negative pressure therapy: Creating a vacuum around a wound to encourage faster blood flow to the area.
Depending on where the treatment is administered, hyperbaric oxygen treatment  can cost $100- $1,000. After insurance is applied, patients may have a copay of $10 -$50 or a coinsurance fee of 10 percent to 50 percent.
Most wounds should heal within two to six weeks. An individual should seek chronic wound treatment if a wound has not begun to heal after two weeks or is not completely healed after six.
Most health insurance plans cover wound care. Patients should check with the clinic and their health insurance provider before seeking treatment to be sure.
