The employees are some of the nicest people I have ever met, and Aaron is very knowledgeable on all animals.

Chris and Tommy have been wonderful. They both were very caring and attentive to my mom and I through the difficult transition of losing a pet and getting a new one.

They have always been super helpful. One time they were out of the brand I usually buy, but besides that they have a pretty big variety.

I've been in the store multiple times and each time I'm greeted with a friendly face and a warm smile! I'm always offered help if I have even the slightest question on my face! I really like this place and will continue to shop there. I would recommend this store to just about anyone.

Pet Supermarket
Love shopping here every time I visit Dallas. They have the cutest dog clothes for very reasonable prices and they are very high quality. I also love that they carry lots of 'made in USA' products. My dogs love the peanut butter cookies they carry! Store is also very clean and well stocked.

Pet Supermarket
This place is horrible. Nobody ever knows how much any thing costs, everything is BEYOND over priced. The staff knowledge of the products and animals they sell is VERY minimal. This is clearly an issue with managment. The manager that I have met, I believe he's the assistant manager is nothing but a rude, arrogant POS. The only redeeming qualities of this place are it's convenient location, and friendliness of the non managerial staff. I won't be returning anytime soon.

I have never had a problem with HOW Petsmart groomed my dog; they've always been good to her. HOWEVER, my dog has been dropped off and groomed at Petsmart for the last 10 or so years. After this morning, I Will NEVER SET FOOT IN A PETSMART AGAIN. This morning, I took her to a different Petsmart then the one I usually use. Today I took her to the store at Coit and Campbell in Dallas to drop her off to be groomed - like I have done so many times before. But this morning I was told they couldn't groom her because she has an enlarged heart. Oh, I could do the express groom but I couldn't drop her off before work and pick her up afterwards like I'VE DONE FOR 10 YEARS! I offered to call my vet and let Petsmart talk to them because the dog was cleared to go to EUROPE so she would certainly be ok at Petsmart for a day. NO. I was told that was against "Protocol" by Christine, one of the managers. I asked if they could call someone higher in the corporate office -no it wouldn't change protocol I was told. I couldn't take my dog to work and I didn't have to take her home so what was I supposed to do???? They didn't know; I just couldn't leave her there. By the way, there is absolutely nothing on their website which addresses this "protocol." I ended up having to leave her at Banfield (fortunately, my dog used to go to Banfied, otherwise they wouldn't have done this) for a physical exam she doesn't need (she just had one the week before last) which I will have to pay for ALL BECAUSE PETSMART HAS APPARENTLY CHANGED THEIR "PROTOCOL" BUT DIDN'T BOTHER TO TELL THOSE OF US WHO HAVE BEEN GROOMING CUSTOMERS FOR YEARS!!!!!!!!!!!BTW, I called your customer service number.. I was hoping someone at the corporate level could MAYBE intercede for at least today and get my dog actually groomed. Sure, I'll have to take her elsewhere in the future but at least she wouldn't be sitting in a cage today at the vet for no reason having a fake physical exam. A lot of good that did-- I couldn't talk to anyone who actually had any power. I had to leave a report and MAYBE someone will "get back to me in 3-5 business days!" If this is the way Petsmart treats owners who have used them for years, Petsmart doesn't deserve pet owners' business!

Lucky Dog Barkery
AMAZING customer service that you don't find everyday. Look here first for what you might find at a big box pet store -- you'll not only find high-quality products, from top pet foods to toys to pet bedding -- but unique items, like uniquely crafted pet collars. If you have a special need, they'll special order it for you, and one of the owners even texted me photos of their dog sweaters so I could have it sent to me, rather than have to drive an hour to get there. That being said, a trek to Lucky Dog Barkery is worth the drive for anyone living in North Texas. Go!
Tips & Advices
Pet owners usually sign a waiver stating that any injury or illness a dog suffers while at daycare is the responsibility of the owner. However, most facilities carry liability insurance and pet business insurance in the event of a serious incident. To prevent illness, facilities are strict about requiring proof of vaccination and general health from a veterinarian prior to accepting a dog. However, in an off-leash setting, scuffles or fights might occur. Reputable facilities will often hire vet assistants who can treat minor injuries and under-the-weather dogs.  For anything more serious, a good daycare should make it a priority to get the dog to a vet, and get in immediate contact with the owner.
