A/C Today
Hello Dallas, I am the owner of A/C Today. The person making the 2 bad reviews is MIKE BARGER. Mike is a competitor who is NOT licensed by the State of Texas to operate a heating and air conditioning business in Dallas, TX or anywhere in Texas. Mike does NOT have a licensed and has been reported to TDLR , the investigator is Pedro whose phone number is :512-539-5629. I recently went out on a call that Mike's technician(Adam) had been dispatched to. Adam told the homeowner that he needed money so he could go buy the part and fix it. The homeowner said NO and paid him for his visit. Adam quoted $500 approx. to fix the issue. I was called and I was able to get the homeowner's problem fixed for $140. If you go to yahoo you will see the excellent review that was made regarding my company. You will also see another review made by Mike who rated my company highly. If anyone knows the whereabouts of Mike Barger please call me or report it to Pedro at the number listed above. In addition, Mike is advertising under Midwest Mechanical; I called the license holder for Midwest who knew nothing of Mike Barger. They have now filed a complaint against Mike Barger regarding using their name. Phillip Sterling owner of A/C today of Dallas.

Central Air Company
The really terrible part about the computer is any IDIOT WITHOUT A COMPANYINVOICE CAN WRITE SLANDEROUS LIES ABOUT A COMPANY. Some of thesesales people get mad you don't buy from them, possibly competitors do this. It needsto be prevented by YP by asking for someone to SCAN a copy of their "alleged"invoice. To injure Hard working Honest MEN is Criminal. This company has a personthat's affilitated with A&M Univ & does work for the Dallas Police that can come up the rope at LIARS, SLANDERER'S. That's what should be done.LEAVE PEOPLE ALONE, GET A JOB, GET A LIFE AND GROW UP!!!!This company hasn't been around over 50 years behaving badly. These 3 BADREVIEWS ARE ALL LIES AND NOT OUR CUSTOMERS!!!! The same nameshave slandered other AC Companies in Dallas too.YP.COM needs to protectall of us from this BALONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Efficient Home Solutions Inc
Finally had to turn heat on last night, been crossing my fingers for past few yrs. hoping my old furnace will keep hanging in there. Well it would not start up for me last night. Called by trusted buddy who always knows the best service guys to use and he came through again with Efficient Home Solutions. I was sure they would tell me I had to replace it, they did recommend replacing it, but gave me several options to consider even had financing. In the end I asked them just to fix it, they did a great job and gave me time to continue considering replacing it by allowing me to use my repair cost to apply to the replacement system if I change my mind. Very considerate.

Dalltex Air Conditioning and Heating
I called Dalltex today based on the reviews I read on this site. What can I say but the reviews are 100% accurate. I was at work when I scheduled the appointment and asked if they could call me 30 minutes before they came out so i didn't have to leave work early. Hector called and let me know he would he was on his way. I made it home perfect timing. Hector was very polite and professional. He had to do a bit of searching for a replacement motor, but he found one. He quickly went and picked it up then installed it. I have heat again! I will recommend Dalltex to family and friends if they have hvac problems.

Reliant Energy Retail
I have been a Reliant NRG customer for the past two years after using powertochoose.org to find the best rates that fit my lower energy usage profile. Their online platform is great and I enjoy being able to track my usage. In fact, every week I get a weekly update on my energy usage and estimated ending bill amount. This allows me to make adjustments as I go instead of getting a big bill at the end of the month. If you are a new customer thinking of switching, get a $50 bill credit by going to reliant.com/friendbonus or calling 1-866-RELIANT, and providing referral ID 71246080-7 when enrolling.

Our air conditioner decided to go out with temperatures in the low 100's. We called Airtron around 7:00 pm on 8/2/11. They said they would send someone out that night for $120. Brandon showed up at 9:00 pm. He found the problem and had it fixed in around 10 minutes. Bad compacitor. Total bill, $308. Even charged me less for the service call. I would recommend them to anyone. I called around 15 companies and they were the only one that would come out the same night. Very impressed.

Barbosa Plumbing & A/C
Very professonal and knowledgeable.I had some plumbing problems in my bathrooms, after explaining the problem, Terry was able to locate and fix the problem very quickly, did not try to add on anything to charge more money like some companies do. I also had a leak in the faucet. I have an older bathroom, with older plumbing, it was a difficult job because of this, but he was very persistant and got the job done. Great company and great technician.I would recommend them.

Classic Air Ac & Htg
After obtaining multiple bids from local companies, I recently purchased a new a/c unit and had all of my home's duct work replaced by Classic Air. They were the most economical for identical work and equipment. Justin and his team were great and have been extremely responsive to questions operating the equipment. They were referred to me by a coworker who was also very satisfied with their prices and service. I highly recommend Classic Air for all your a/c needs.

Tips & Advices
Most homes would benefit from having their air ducts cleaned every five to eight years. If there are pets in the home, or residents with respiratory ailments or compromised immune systems, the air ducts should be cleaned more frequently.
For the typical single-family home, air-duct cleaning takes between two to four hours. If there are pets in the household or it is an older home, cleaning the air ducts could take a bit longer. The ductwork in condominiums and townhouses might require less than two hours to clean.
Dirty air ducts can have a negative impact on indoor air quality, and poor indoor air quality can lead to allergies and respiratory ailments. A dirty air duct is also more likely to become infested with vermin. Hiring a professional to clean air ducts helps ensure the task is tackled efficiently and thoroughly.
The primary benefit of investing in a new furnace is greater efficiency. Newer furnaces are built to use a lot less energy than their predecessors, and can bring huge savings in monthly heating costs. Newer furnaces also offer a more comfortable user experience, since they are equipped with zoning systems and other amenities to help adjust and fine-tune temperatures throughout the home.
Furnaces are built to last 18 to 20 years, and an older furnace will likely suffer costly breakdowns. If there’s been  an increase in repair costs, it's likely that the time has come to replace the furnace. Another factor to consider is heating bills. Older furnaces are a lot less efficient than newer models. A new furnace will likely pay for itself relatively quickly via a lower energy bill.
