Noorhasean, Dorette
Dr. Noorhasan and her staff are great! Words cannot begin to explain how we feel about them but I will do my best....My wofe and I went to Dr. Noorhasan two years ago for consultation on our options as a lesbian married couple to conceive. From the start she was very informative about our options. B/c of the travel distance from our home, we made the mistake of going elsewhere. Two miscarriages later with a heartless RE and no answers, we went back to Dr. Noorhasan. Best decision we made!Again, she welcomed us as if 2 years never passed and sat down with us and went over our options. She told us that we needed test done to find out why the miscarriages. We were thrilled we were finally getting answers, and answers we surly got. My tubes were blocked so IVF was our best option. Through sympathy of our losses and our upcoming journey, Dr. Noorhasan and her lead nurse, Stephanie, made sure we knew we were in good hands. I LOVED going to their office every single time I went. I had a trust relationship with them (which means a lot b/c Im not one to trust right away) and its all because of how they approach you like an individual and not just another cookie cutter patient. I personally loved the fact that they do not tell you much about details but give you the essential information as youre going through the infertility treatment. IVF is intense but with how they comfort you and answer any of your questions, you don't feel overwhelmed. In fact, Stephanie spent countless times "talking me off the ledge" after we got the great news that we became pregnant on our first FET! I was blessed to have her by our side during times of panic that comes naturally with uncertainty.I knew we did good by our choice when Dr. Noorhasan teared up when she showed us our first sono of our baby. She was genuinely excited for us. ALL the staff in Dallas were excited for us and I mean all of them. My wife and I couldn't wait to walk through those doors every time we went.Truly Greatful

Dr. Deno B Barroga, MD
I have a rare, no-cause, no-cure foot disease and Dr. Barroga took me on as a patient. Even though my disease is super-rare, he researched and helps me with the pain from this disease. It is progressive, but I've been going every month to Dr. Barroga and he has helped me with every issue and helps me live a somewhat 'normal' life. He takes steps to ensure he knows about this disease and because it is so rare, it's very difficult to find a pain management Dr. who will help me with this. And, the staff has helped me very much, as well. He cares about his patients, and the building of trust is key with a rare condition. Very important to be responsible and pro-active so Dr. Barroga can best treat my condition - I have a back issue, too, and he helps with that. A great Dr. who cares, who listens, and who works with you as trust is established to form a solid Dr. - patient relationship. I highly recommend Dr. Barroga for chronic pain, acute pain, and other pain from injury or long-term disease or injury. Staff keeps A+ records and Dr. Barroga will try to satisfy any request as long as you also work with his requests for x-ray, MRI, etc. I am lucky to have such a terrific Dr. for my chronic pain and I recommend him highly. You will be very happy with staff and the professional care provided by Dr. Barroga. A+

Dr. Kalamani Rachel Dharma, MD
Rachel Dharma is an amazing Doctor and person. She truly cares for both mom and the child and has a wonderful bedside manner. I am sensitive and feel anxious around doctors and hospitals, but I knew she was going to be the one to help us bring our baby into the world when I had panicked over the needle while getting my blood drawn and instead of pushing me or passively mocking me, she held my hand, talked to me, and affirmed me. She was firm, but so patient and affirming, and I needed that to encourage me to follow through with my goals and desires during this pregnancy and delivery. Because of her, I didn't give up or give into doubt, and not once did she doubt that I could deliver my daughter or offer me other alternatives when she knew that I didn't want them. We truly felt cared for and KNOWN by her, and it made all of the difference to me and to our family. If you are looking for someone that will care for the baby and for you and help you every step of the way, she's the one you're looking for.

DFW Neuropathy
I had disability of neuropathy and had searched out a treatment. I had gone to a neurologist who provided pain reliever medicines but no cure or treatments. I was told that was all that could be done. My neuropathy had traveled from my toes to above ankles.I was driving by the Mid Cities DFW Neuropathy Clinic and thought I needed a second opinion and after approximately 6 months of treatments, I went from a discomfort level of "9” to a discomfort of less than ”1”. I will have very mild flair up when my feet get cold or not wearing socks with certain shoes. The outcome was outstanding and I will always be thankful to Dr. Ali Alavi and his great staff. I now have have my gait back and now have the ability to walk 3 miles a day rather than maybe from my car to the store entrance.. BTW only 40% of neuropathy is caused by diebetes. The 60% are walking wounded, not knowing alternatives other than meds. I highly recommend the care and cure I received. Thank you,

Dermlaser Institute of Dallas
Very good dermatologist, but the support service was not good. During the visit, I was proposed a procedure and I specifically asked if it was covered 100% by my insurance. Dermatologist turned to the nurse and asked her if it was fully covered, and the nurse said that she already checked and it was. Because I was leaving town for a few month, I specifically asked again the front desk if I only had to pay the copay and nothing else. They said I would not have further charges. One month later, I receive a bill in the mail, because the procedure was not fully covered. I called the office to explain the situation and they told me it was not their fault, but the insurance's fault. Very dissatisfied customer. On another note, it took me 30 min going around on different floors to find the Dallas office because the office was not included in the directory and the management of the building was not able to help us.

Konen & Associates
I'm a new patient , just went last Friday 9/18/2015. I received an appointment really quickly , after the first place I was recommended to go to didn't take my insurance . I found the office and people there to be professional and courteous . I met Dr. Flanagan and he addressed my pain issue and my other health problems. I feel as though I'm in competent hands for now and in the future. He had already familiarized his self with my information from the Baylor Hospital Portal , witch is an Awesome tool for yourself to look and use , as well as a perspective doctor for you to use . The only reason I came to this page was to look for there phone number, I had forgotten to save it when they called me to make my appointment . I couldn't find it on any of the paper work they gave me to take home and I didn't grab a business card .

S Luke Ahee DR
I'm not sure why the previous 2 reviews have been so negative, and I wonder if they even went to the same doctor. I have been a patient of Dr. Ahee for a few years now and the service has been nothing short of exceptional. Scheduling is easy, the staff is friendly, and the checkout/billing process is as simple as can be. I have had problems with my hips for as long as I can remember, and Dr. Ahee is the only person that has been able to affectively treat me. He diagnosed me on my first visit, and within a few weeks, I was as good as new. I only go back now if my hips flare up (I'm not supposed to run but sometimes I can't help it!) and Dr. Ahee is always able to fix me back up. He's professional and great at what he does, I always recommend him to friends.

Dr. Kalamani Rachel Dharma, MD
I cannot say enough to express my gratitude for Dr.Dharma and her wonderful facility and staff. Just writing this review gets me all emotional. This being my first pregnancy, I had a lot of worries and a lot of fear about labor! She made me feel so confident.I had a very long labor and when things got tricky, she really showed her expertise. I loved getting to know Dr.Dharma throughout my pregnancy which made me feel even more comfortable knowing that, during labor, I would be with people I trusted and that genuinely cared about me and my family during labor. Dr. Dharma and her nurses took amazing care of us. Once baby arrived, they gave us time to peacefully be together as a family! It was such an incredible time in our lives. Thank you!

Dr. Steven M. Pounders, MD
Steven Pounders is the best. I had been to see quite a few different doctors over the years in search of the best physician. I was referred to Steven Pounders in 2000 and I have been seeing him since. His bedside manners are outstanding, he takes the time to truly understand the problem and properly diagnose with the best possible treatment. However, what impresses me the most about Dr. Pounders is his relentless to stay on top of the latest and greatest technology and treatments. You won't find outdated or ineffective treatments from Dr. Pounders. He is difficult to get into see, but the best always are. I don't recommend Dr. Pounders PA's, but Dr. Pounders himself is by far the best. On a scale of 1-10 he gets an 11.

Dr. Kalamani Rachel Dharma, MD
When my husband and I got pregnant, we knew we had a high-risk pregnancy that would require consistent and complicated medical management. We wanted a doctor who was skilled, experienced, personable, and that we trusted. At the recommendation of other skilled clinicians, we chose Dr. Rachel Dharma. She was amazing! Dr. Dharma listened to my concerns, was not difficult to contact, thoroughly reviewed my medical history, stayed on top of my medical issues as they arose, and made clear plans (keeping my wants and needs as a part of the process) regarding delivery and care for both myself and my daughter. She was easy to work with, kind, extremely knowledgable, and my husband and I were so pleased to have found her.
Tips & Advices
A child should see his or her pediatrician frequently during the first few years. Once the child reaches age 3, parents should schedule a doctor's visit at least once per year. Before that, however, the American Academy of Pediatrics suggests parents arrange visits according to the following schedule:
  • 2 to 5 days old
  • 1 month old
  • 4 months old
  • 6 months old
  • 9 months old
  • 12 months old
  • 15 months old
  • 24 months old (2 years)
  • 30 months old (2.5 years)
No, parents should call 911, an emergency physician, or a pediatric emergency physician if a child suffers an acute illness or injuries. Doctors in these fields are more qualified than pediatricians to handle emergency situations.
A well-visit is a routine visit with a pediatrician to track a child's development, discuss medical or emotional concerns, and receive immunizations and medical advice.
Yes, pediatricians provide immunizations for infants and children up through 21 years.
No, pediatricians do not have to be board certified. They're only required to have a state license. However, certification indicates a dedication to studying pediatrics beyond the requirements.
