Disappointing....to put it nicely.We drove in from out of state to bring my daughter and a friend shop at the American Girl Store, only to find many items sold out, to include items that showed in stock at the Dallas retail store through the American Girl website. You cannot reach the retail store by phone, the phone number listed through the website and Yellow Pages is for general/national customer service. Over a two day trip, we visited the store twice. No one greeted or offered to help us upon entering the store either time. Several times we tracked down clerks, with some effort, and requested help. Some seemed more interested in helping than others. I generally had to repeat my request and once received a wrong answer about whether the item was in stock (I found it myself later). For the popularity of this brand, the premium price of this line, and the age of it's target market I was disappointed with the experience. I doubt we will go back. I had high expectations for this experience that were missed by a lot, but given the crowds in the store this brand will prosper just fine without our business!
