I was referred to Truett-Worrall to have my king pins replaced on my diesel truck. I talked to Charles Worrall to get an estimate. The estimate was very reasonable and not only did they do the work quickly but also found additional items to be repaired, all within the quoted estimate. I'm VERY happy and would use their service again if needed. Fast and very friendly service!

Mark and the staff at City Garage run their garage with incredibly high standards for quality and customer service. This spring, I had a string of problems that occurred with my car, and Mark did not stop until the job was completed absolutely perfectly. He and his staff were warm, understanding, and patient with me. They definitely put customers first. They are also highly knowledgeable and confident about their work. I recommend this City Garage location to everyone! It is rare to find a business that is so dedicated to making sure the customer is satisfied and the job is completed to perfection.
9.Overseas Car Care

Had my 98 Jag xj8 in and Kyle help me with all it needed. He had a list of what the techs found, and went over it with me, walking me to the car to show me problems and just the thing that need care now for safety reasons. I had then do just 2 of the 6 items and they let me use one of their loaner cars for the day. The loaner car was nicer than my car. Thank you so much for your help Overseas Car Care, I will be back.

I have the worst luck with car repairs and dreaded it when we broke down on the hwy Thanksgiving evening at 11pm. I knew it was serious and sure enough, we were facing a major overhaul and value repairs. Still, the kind people at Lakewood offered to work with us financially; to store the car at no charge until we could afford to pay them. They were so understanding and helpful. To my surprise, Lakewood called to say the damage wasn't nearly as bad and said it would only cost about half their original estimate. Thanks to their honesty, integrity and diligent work, we're able to have a Christmas this year. I'm so very grateful to the wonderful people at Lakewood Auto for all their efforts! *Update July 2012 - We've used Lakewood twice more and again have been very pleased. I'm on their email list as it's a good reminder about routine mntc + takes advantage of deals like $29 for AC svc which is a bargain! Note: There's criticism from ppl who think they've been cheated after getting a $150-200 price, then the actual repairs are way more. That initial price is for *computer diagnostics only* and ALL shops do this. If you get the car fixed, the diagnosis is included. But if not or you take it elsewhere, repair shops must charge for researching the car's engine trouble... how else could they afford those expensive automotive computers?

I have a 1998 Honda CRV with 100K+ miles on it. In the past few months, I have noticed some deep-tone rattling sound coming from the rear of my car. I Googled some possible causes and took my car to a Firestone location for detailed checkup and solution. I was told the strut mount were somehow loose but they couldn't tightened it well enough to rid of the rattling sound. The only way is to replace the struts. That'd be $580. Long story short, I found Berlini's Automotive because they would take the struts warranty even though those struts weren't purchased there (they carry the same brand). Mr. Berlini and one of his technician sat in my car and had a test drive to experience what the noise was. They found out it's coming from the strut mount. Because one of the bushes had gone bad, it caused a gap in the mount. That's why I heard rattling noises when I drove over some rough surface. It cost me 105 total to have it all taken care of instead of 580. I highly recommend this place.

????? Service and Prices

My torque converter fell apart on my way out of town- I had my 4-year-old with me in the van. I took it one place, but they seemed really high. I called Christain Brothers Auto who referred me to Hackler, and I talked to John. He listened to what happened, was kind, and gave me a quote over the phone that my car dealer said was very fair, so I let him tow it to his shop (free.) I was sure it would come out to be more than he quoted, but nope! When he was all done (the next morning I might add) The price was the same. He charged my battery, checked another problem (engine problem) for me and gave me great advice on how to handle that problem. His wife even came to pick me up when it was all done. I felt really good about this shop, and looking back knowing what some shops will try and charge you- that price was really fair. I made them cookies.

If you truly love your car and want it fixed perfectly then bring it here. They have been around for more than 50 years, and do the best work for a reasonable price. I got my Jaguar fixed there and wouldn't ever bring it anywhere else. The employees are friendly people, and it is family owned and operated. In fact the owner of the shop did some of the body work personally. I almost want to wreck my car so that I have a reason to go back.

24.Midas Auto Service Experts
5715 W Lovers Ln
I was impressed. By time I drove my Galant up from Austin, it had become blatantly apparent that something was very messed up going by the freaky noise coming from under the chassis. I had to get to an appointment and had no idea where my day was going to end up, let alone my car. Having had good experiences at Austin Midas shops, I looked for nearest Midas in Dallas which turned out to be this small shop on Lovers Lane. I'm so glad I did. The manager was on the ball, knew exactly what he was talking about, did everything above board and efficient, with great level headed friendliness and genuine concern. It took few hours and a small bankroll with reasonable pricing but I drove away with my car in better health than it's been for a while and with a load off my mind. His mechanic only had to drive around the block to figure out that it was a wheel bearing problem. They showed me how the entire front wheel was wobbling back and forth on the axel. And the axel thread itself was shot.. No way I wanted to drive back to Austin like that. They quickly got the parts for this 2003 Mitsubishi to my pleasant surprise and had me on the road before lunch. Midas shops have unquestionable customer satisfaction, and this one by far. I volunteered to post a review; this was not petitioned.
25.Richardson's Auto Care
11170 Ables Ln
Finding a trustworthy honest auto repair company is challenging Due to a lot of bad apples in the industry Richardson's Auto Care is definitely the exception A place you can go and talk with the owner almost every visit They put the customer first and put the customer's happiness before their profits. I feel comfortable asking them to show me what needs to be fixed and how everything works Opposed to them just telling me and me paying for it They also have great warranties Do yourself, wallet and car a favor and make them your auto service company!
2464 Royal Ln
27.Mcains Ac & Auto Repai
13566 Floyd Cir Ste A
The service manager was able to get my '04 Sequoia in the shop on the same day I brought it to him. McCain's correctly diagnosed the problem as a blown A/C clutch and compressor and estimated the cost of repair to be less than $1,000. Two years before I brought the Sequoia to the Toyota dealership and they just replaced the A/C clutch alone for $800, they should have replaced everything (~$2,000 at Toyota Dealer). I strongly recommend bringing your Toyota to McCain's Auto and AC Repair for their quality work and competitive pricing. Thanks for the great work Eric, my Sequoia is blowing ice-cold air in the 100 degree Texas heat!
28.Econo Lube N' Tune
5522 E Mockingbird Ln
The experience I had at Econo-lube was simply outstanding. They replaced my brake pads very quickly. The staff was friendly and doesn't try to talk you into unnecessary maintenance. Plus free brake inspection and cheap oil changes. I would highly recommend Econo Lube 'N Tune for oil changes and brake work, and I will definitely be going back for oil changes.

30.Merriman Park Automotive and Body Shop
6824 Walling Ln
After four years of using this shop I have decided to move on. I rate them at 3 out of 5 stars, which in my mind equals a 60% rating. They are on the borderline of being a decent shop, but they have some issues that stand in their way. 1. They do not communicate well. They will do the absolute minimum in regards to reaching out to you about your car, and when they do, it's a brief synopsis with very limited options. 2. They just don't do the best work. I don't know exactly what their mechanic's expertise is, but it seems to me that he can be limited in his abilities. His work is also sloppy. Dirt and grime is usually around the work area of the interior of the car, he broke off pieces of the dashboard of my truck on my last visit, and it seems like his attention to detail is fair at best. 3. If you hint at dissatisfaction or frustration, they will respond right back at you with frustration and try to blame you for some reason. Their mechanic is very curt and can get snarky if you ask too many questions and the owner of the shop seems extremely detached from the real work that’s going on – as far as I’m concerned, she just runs the office. Which leads to my next point... 4. Their customer service is non-existent. They do not treat you like a customer - they treat you like you're a family friend that is wanting their car fixed for free. Their attitude about the job they do is that they are doing you a favor, not providing you with a service. They do not go above and beyond, and only when they make a mistake do they try to make things right - which for me, has been more than half the times I've been there. Here are my personal experiences: I've had an A/C tube failed to be re-installed after a fan was fixed, which resulted in the tube bouncing around the engine compartment, banging against the other engine fans. I've had them repair wiring on a door, only to fail less than a year later (I got the dealer to fix that one). The last straw was when I had them work on my truck for two weeks, only to drive it home and realize that the radio wouldn't turn on and that my interior dash lights were not plugged in - I returned them the vehicle and was assured that they could fix it while I wait. I showed up when the mechanic was "at lunch" after he told me to come up there about 30 minutes before, and I waited an hour for him to come back. It took him another 30 minutes to realize that he probably wasn't going to get everything fixed while I wait, also expressing his doubt that the radio worked when I first showed up... He begrudgingly offered to drive me home, which I denied - I didn't want him to think he was doing me any favors. They kept my truck for another two weeks and said that they'll fix it "free of charge" - like I was going to let them charge me for something they didn't fix in the first place. When the truck was ready, the owner tried to call me one time but for some reason got a "the owner is not accepting phone calls at this time" (which is weird because I had received calls that day as well as that entire week). She never called me back or left me a message to tell me the truck was ready. When I finally called she said it had been ready for a week. She said she tried to call me - but only documented one call that didn't go through and she never left a message. You might be thinking, "Why did you keep bringing your cars to them?" The answer to that is that they are a community shop that has served my home for many years and I believe in supporting our local businesses. But the fact is, they're not the only shop around my house and my loyalty to them is exhausted. If you have minor/simple work to be done I'm sure this shop can handle it. However, anything too complicated and I guarantee you it won't be worth the hassle working with this shop. Bring in your oil changes and brakes to these guys, but leave the hard stuff for a more capable shop.
