The Old Warsaw
The Old War Saw was a nice, quiet, elegant restaurant. It was a perfect setting to take my mother out to eat to show her my appreciation for everything she has done. We started off with the escargot which was served with the most delicious garlic sauce. After the wonderful escargot we had a delightful Caesar salad while we waited for our main entree. During this time the waiter would come and check on us from time to time giving us excellent service. After the salad, came the grilled prime chateaubriand, cooked to perfection, it was definitely one of the best piece of meat me and my mom have ever sunk our teeth into (a must get). Once we were done with our main entree, we debated on getting desert so as the waiter suggested we get the grand marnier soufflé, we did, man was it great! it was as rich as could be and it didn't have a grainy texture which made it just perfect. Overall I gave it a 5 star rating because from when I walked through the door the service was very attentive and the food was just amazing. If ever in the area The Old Warsaw restaurant is a must-go.

First the bad, though it is not the hotel's fault. Hotels.com said the place was close to the cotton bowl, which is the precise football game we traveled to attend. Not quite. It was still about 10 miles, not 3. That being said, the hotel was an amazing value. The room was clean, the shower was good, and the front desk was generally helpful about whatever we needed. There are two gas stations right there as well, and a Jack in the Box. But it isn't in a busy area which is nice, meaning the rooms are QUIET. Seriously. And the breakfast isn't huge, as in not a 5 star hotel breakfast, but generally speaking its one of the best free breakfasts I've had. Highly reccomended.

Motel 6
I saw a number of negative reviews after booking a room, scared me a bit. There were also positive reviews that appeared to be in direct conflict.Close to freeway, a light sleeper *might* be able to hear road or even rail noises – I did not. Parking area is well lighted, security on duty at night. Staff was polite & courteous. Not all rooms have fridges. Towels are thin. Soap, but no shampoo or other freebies. Bed was comfortable, wood/linoleum floors give clean impression. I found nothing seriously wrong… THIS IS A BUDGET HOTEL, price was right & I can pack my own toiletries! Stayed 3 nights & YES, I would stay here again.

I am so happy to find this hotel as it had plenty of truck parking for the Over The Road trucker. What a relief it is to step out of the cab for a weekend and just relax. Located in a fairly quite neighborhood, with a Racetrack quick stop not far away for food. I do plan on making a stay here a regular thing for my SoCal to Dallas run, but I do hope to find refrigerators in the rooms in the near future. Tammy the front desk clerk has been here for over a decade, and she is by far the best hotel employee I have ever met. Looking forward to my next stay.

I wish I spent more time in the room! This hotel is set off the road behind a gas station/Jack In The Box, but I wasn't disturbed by noise at all. I had a King No Smoking room, and when I opened the door it was nice. The bed was so inviting and the room had a nice scent (freshener). The cable, fridge, iron, lamps, toilet, etc. all worked fine. I didn't use the microwave, but it was clean. The front desk clerk was nice and very helpful. I was impressed not because of the hotel chain but the area it was located. Good Job!

Beamers Nightclub
Beamers is okay..but you have to know when to go--I went on a Saturday night and it was 4 million little half dressed little girls that obviously were desperate for a man to look---and the boys were boys--you know the ones with the pants saggin onto their knee caps with a belt??? duh? So, you have to identify the night when there are no kids--that's when the club is booming!

I was surprised to find that it was on the East side of Dallas. Since I was looking for best photos and amenities and price considerations, I did not think to question the location. The hotel was clean, service was wonderful. It was a specific distance from an event we had reserved, but we were surprised that it was on the opposite side of the city.

This hotel was great for a quick get-away. We got great satisfaction for such a low price. The bed was extremely comfortable and the location was easy to get to from anywhere in Dallas. It was right off the highway so it was in a great location. Heard very little noise from traffic or other guests. Great hotel!

We used our Choice Hotel's points - 6,000 points to stay free in this hotel. We were warmly welcomed upon arrival, and the staff were very helpful. The front clerk, a maintenance man, and a gardener were all very pleasant, friendly, and nice. We loved the refrigerator and microwave in the room, too.
