Power Properties
The people at Power Properties care about what they do. From the time I reached out to them on Craigslist, through my entire move from Arizona, to now they have been nothing but thoughtful, kind and ON IT.My leasing agent Katie is amazing at what she does and very clearly an awesome person as well. Very mellow and easy to deal with but gets things done. When I contacted her about apartments she offered to pick me up the next day and showed me everything I wanted to see and more. I had only been in Dallas a couple of days, so not having to deal with traffic and getting lost made the experience much less stressful. She was also kind enough to show me around the vicinity of the apartments I was looking at (ie grocery stores, restaurants, yoga studios etc). I certainly didn't expect her to do any of this, she didn't have to, and it impressed me.Before I had even decided whether or not I was going to live in one of their apartments, the people at Power Properties offered to store all of the stuff that I had brought out to Dallas so that my car wouldn't get broken into. Aaron, the Service Manager, literally unloaded my car for me and after I signed my lease he brought all of the stored items to my apartment. They even offered to let me stay in one of their furnished lofts while I was searching for a place. All of this is unheard of to me and I couldn't be more grateful. When I moved in, Katie asked me what I needed to feel comfortable in the place. In a few days I had floor to ceiling curtains for privacy, a new window AC unit, two doors removed/fixed and an updated showerhead. She proceeded to follow up on whether all of these items were working out a few days later. I appreciate the follow-through that Power shows in their business and Katie is a shining example. The timing of my move to Dallas was not ideal-- right around mid-late February during the ice storms. Please note I'm from southern Arizona Throughout this time Katie was checking up on me to see if I needed anything, if everything was ok with the apartment and even offered to take me to the airport when everyone was frozen in. Again, completely unexpected and above and beyond anything I've ever seen from an apartment.I had the pleasure of interacting with Daniel Davis, the General Manager at Power Properties on several occasions and he is phenomenal as well. He seems to be constantly thinking about how he can make the properties safer and more attractive inside and out for the tenants. He didn't hesitate to ask what I thought about some of the company's policies, my take on what people want and how my experience with Power had been. Daniel pays attention to and cares about the little things that I think a lot of property managers miss.On top of the people at Power being wonderful to deal with - I love vintage properties and theirs are badass. I looked at several other properties from various owners and none of them had the visual finesse that the Power properties had. Power obviously puts a lot of effort into making these wonderful old buildings convenient and stylish to live in while respecting and preserving their vintage charm. Some problems can be expected with vintage buildings but any issues I have experienced have been handled very quickly and I think that's all one can really ask for.Overall I think Power Properties is a company built with good people who care about what they are putting out there into the world. For this reason I think they will continue to be successful and I would truly recommend them to anyone I care about.

Ausby Car Rental DFW Airport
I recently rented a car from this company. I was on business trip with my wife in Dallas. I traditionally rent with Enterprise, Alamo, Budget, Ace, and others in that I travel quite a bit and try different companies. What attracted me was the rate and the airport pickup. Both held true. When we arrived at DFW we received a text from our pickup telling us when we secure our bags, text him back, and he will pick us up right outside in 5 minutes. That happened!!!! He brought a brand new vehicle and then drove us a short distance outside the airport where he explained this is the location where we were to return our rental car. We filled out the rental paperwork while still in the vehicle, nice a cool and comfortable, and he then gave us the vehicle with a full tank of gas. Both my wife and I were surprised in that we never received this level of service. During the rental period I called the company, talked with Marcus at Ausby, and he explained that I return the car to the same location with a full tank of gas, and my $100.00 security deposit will be refunded to my credit card. This happened timely as well!!!! I only saw new vehicle within the Ausby return area, and as explained to me by Marcus, all the rental vehicles have sensors on them to track when they are returned to their rental car lot. Additionally, the rental car lot is collocated with a Best Western Hotel that provides hour on the hour shuttle service back to the airport. The Best Western staff is very friendly and cooperative and catered well to us a Ausby customers. I WOULD recommend this company!!! I read some of the other reviews and it is evident that the renters did not understand the rental process and did not give the company time to address their concerns. I would use this company again. Just be ready for a different experience and stay in touch with the company during and after the rental period to insure they can provide you your security deposit back after the rental and address any of your concerns during the rental period. Finally, it was a good experience, just a little different and better that others. The company is a new company and growing; but once you understand their system you will develop a level of comfort with them.

Power Properties
My girlfriend got a job in Dallas so we're going to be splitting cities, LA/Dallas. We had to get a place fast and these guys have a lot of great buildings to choose from. The only trouble was, most of the apts were rented. Luckily they had an opening and they got us an awesome place. The rental agent was super helpful, they even drove us around, because we're still getting used to the neighborhood, they even recommended a bunch of cool places in the area.Pros: Very eclectic mix of lofts, apartments, houses, etc. Great neighborhood. loved the hisotoric mansions, trees and greenery. Price. I rented an apartment that looked like it could have rented for a lot more. Crowd: Seemed like a really fun community. Definitely youngetr crowd. Didn't see any kids.Cons: Busy leasing office, had to wait 30 min to see a unit. Because all the buildings are in so many different neighborhoods, it took about 1.5 hours to see only 3 apartments. The styles of the places are pretty different, ranging from modern to more traditional, but all of it looked pretty cool.No gym, but the agent told me there's a huge new YMCA that's about to open a few blocks away. I checked it out and it looks pretty good. It was just annoying that they did not have more units available. But I guess that means people like it here. It's only been a week, but we are loving it.

Alamo Rent A Car
Have used Alamo for years. This past experience was not my best experience. I flew in on a standby Airline Friends and Family pass. When picking up the car, I gave them my Credit/Debit card. They advised they needed a return itinerary to rent the car. I did not have one, since Standby is not a "Reservation"- hence the word "Standby". They refused to rent the car without it. Had to contact my friend at work with the airlines to make a mock reservation to show agent. He did. They refused to take a text photo of the reservation, Had to contact my husband to email the agent with the mock reservation. She received the reservation, quickly went through procedure for rental and then ripped the emailed reservation up. Took over 30 minutes for that document...Very disappointed in the professionalism and policies. Visa Card had been used before in rentals. Alamo has a policy that you cannot use Debit card without return itinerary. What do people like me do when in this situation? Asked if they could run the Visa as a Credit Card (since it has dual uses per Bank of America). Nope. Will be using other transportation rentals in the future.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car
This is an airport car rental site. The agent at the desk was not friendly at all but very professional and was all about getting them in and getting them out (which I can appreciate). The young man that handled my car selection was awesome. I had a premium car reserved and he read my mind. He also let me get through the process even quicker because my flight was a little late getting in. The car was a head-turner and gave me no issues. The return was as easy as parking it on the return level and handing the keys to one of the agents walking around. The CON: I got one rental agreement emailed to me when I picked out the car and extras and another when I returned the vehicle. Although I opted out of the refueling charge it was slipped onto my 2nd rental agreement. I have a feeling that this mistake isn't a rare one and suggest that everyone ALWAYS READ YOUR RECEIPTS! Another PRO however: They were extremely quick to address the issue and refund the charge as soon as I wrote them a request. The only reason they get 4 out of 5 stars.

Power Properties
My husband lived at 6011 Gaston several years ago and has always talked about how much he loved living there and how it was the most unique space in Dallas to live. Since I am a student at Baylor down the street, I recommended a couple of friends to go visit the property a couple of years ago and they told me they were disappointed that it was under construction and far from being finished. I felt bad because of the recommendation. I finally heard that they completed all the properties so my husband and I went to visit the same building he used to live in and we were blown away. The courtyard and the apartments are some of the most beautiful and unique we have ever seen. The first thing we noticed was the new entrance and all the stainless steel trim they used. In the courtyard there is 20 foot tall arch cabana covered with vines, king size daybeds to lay on, all new outdoor furniture and a bronze angel fountain.Congrats to Power Properties for upgrading their properties to a whole new level!!

National Car Rental
My last rental was not a pleasant experience. I'm 2 rentals away from becoming VIP. My last rental contract was closed 2 days within picking up my vehicle and showed me returning in Houston while the vehicle was in my driveway with 4 days remaining until its return back to DFW. To add they charged my credit card at a higher rate than what I get with my corporate rate. Trying to get it fixed during the remaining 4 days was impossible. I was worried that if I were pulled over that the vehicle would be reported stolen. Because the contract was closed, National was showing the vehicle returned in Houston. On its return it took almost 30 minutes to fix everything. They were going to charge me extra until I complained and showed the errors of their ways. In the end National made it right and gave me $160 credit. On top of all this I had left 2 person items in the vehicle. I reported them missing, included description and my contract/vehicle number. It's been 10 days and Still Nothing

E-Z Rent-A-Car
This was our first time using E-Z Rent-A-Car - now they are my #1 choice. They SAVED me over $50 a day from what I would have paid at another car rental agency. Michael, our agent at the Dallas Airport, was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, friendly, and professional throughout our entire rental process. He gave us a map, with both our destination route highlighted and turn-by-turn directions. He also gave us directions and tips for avoiding the toll roads in Dallas. Our rental car, a Chevrolet Envision, was very clean and in great shape. Our original car rental reservation, at a different car rental company, had run out of cars, leaving us stranded with no transportation. We were on a time deadline and were very stressed. When we found E-Z Rent-A-Car, we were so thankful. I highly recommend them and will definitely be using them again and again!

Enterprise Rent-A-Car
The staff were very friendly and overall the experience was pretty good. They only had 2 compact cars to choose from (same model, different colors). Not a big deal for me really. The only part that was weird was when I returned the car, a woman approached me with my final bill and told me I was being billed for a gas surcharge. I found this particularly strange because she literally just walked up to me without checking anything about my vehicle. I had just filled up the gas tank at the nearest gas station before returning and yet I was being charged for gas? I asked her how she knew how much gas I had in the tank without looking and then she changed her tune and took the charge off, but didn't explain why I was being charged in the first place.Makes me wonder if they just charge everyone and hope some people don't notice...

Enterprise Rent-A-Car
We use Enterprise for our business travels and I have always been pleased with their service. It took less than 30 mins to get the rental and drive out (I was the picky one and took longer than necessary) :). The employees at DFW are very professional and attentive. I didn't feel pressured that I had to drive out in the first car we came to. I was able to choose the color of and brand of car I wanted to drive. At the drop off the attendant was also very nice and it attentive. Every single time I have been to this office, I have been pleased with their service and I recommend them highly! They really take care of you and they have the best customer service of any other car rental that I have personally used..thank you Enterprise!

Just a moment...
