Valvoline Instant Oil Change
Bringing my car into Valvoline was the worst decision I have ever made. It was my first time going to one, just found a coupon online for a cheap oil change. They didnt put the oil cap back on my car. I didn't notice until my oil light came on that I was low on oil. I got my oil changed agin and since then I have had to put 4 additional quarts of oil in my car. Went from burning no oil to 1 quart for every thousand miles I drive. Every time I talk to someone at Valvoline they tell me how normal it is that my car is burning that much oil. Which it wasn't doing that before I took it to them so I would say that suggests that it is actually not normal at all.

Midas Auto Service Experts
I usually make my own repairs and I own an older vehicle. My muffler pipe broke off and cracked my catalytic converter pipe. Advanced Auto Parts did not carry anything that would fit my needs and sent me to Midas. I expected to be charged a lot for the parts alone. Desperate to have my loud muffler fixed, I went and they told me to bring in the vehicle. After waiting shortly in the waiting room, I was checked in. They were very busy. Soon after I was told that they were going to fix my problem at no charge. I was soooooo happy! I had such a busy work week ahead of me and it started raining out. So glad not to work in the rain under my car. They showed me the nice work they did. Put a new pipe that fit the converter to my muffler. I will remember this for life. Midas is a great place to take your vehicle for a fair price and great service. I will recommend Midas to my family and friends. This was by far my greatest experience with any automotive work shops. Thank You!

Shaw Auto Care
I felt cheated ...They run to fill your tank (even under the "self" label) -- to make sure they fill it up before you get a chance to read the price -- (Had I known they charge %20 over market rates, I would have only put a few gallons to drive to the next gas station - and not fill the whole tank.)Yet, under guise of "helpfulness & service", they make sure they fill up your tank - to charge the etra price. I felt ripped - "bad karma." I Will NEVER go there again.

Ace Tire
The owner Jimmy is a crook. My Dodge Dakota has been in his shop for 4 months now to have the clutch repaired. He instructed his mechanics to put it back together knowing that a part was broken. When my husband tried to drive it the clutch stuck to the floor and he immediately returned to the garage. We have heard excuse after excuse as to why it hasn't been fixed. He had another mechanic work on it that had us purchase a part that was not needed. Now the transmission is out, needs to be repaired and the part costs over $800.00. We have already paid this joker over $700.00 and now find out that he is losing this location because he doesn't pay his bills. He has now pushed my truck out of the garage and to my knowledge the transmission is still not in the truck. I will be getting an attorney to fight this. Stay away from this business and this crook!!!

Ace Tire
I took my car to them for the air conditioner and the struts and the alignment. They charged me 450.00 to fix all of that. It was a great price Unfortunately all that got fixed was the struts. Even though they got paid the 450.00. They tried to fix the air but after multiple attempts they asked me for more money to fix a different part of the ac. I had to have my car realigned by someone else because after repeated attempts they could not do it correctly. It took a qualified mechanic one try. I also had to buy tires from someone else because the bad alignment ruined my old ones and they only had worn out ones left. I later did a wheel bearing repair on the car and found they had snapped off a lug nut bolt and had left out other bolts for the ABS cables that connected to the struts. All in all they are good for used tires but their mechanics are terrible. Watch them when they use there impact guns to tighten down your lug nuts because if they break one they apparently won't tell you.

Gearheads Auto & Truck Services
Reliable Honest and Fair to LadiesI just want you all to know that I had a great experience with Tony at Gearheads today. Although, it is never fun to spend money on car repairs, Tony made me feel at ease about the situation. By that, I mean, it felt like he was telling was actually true. I felt he was being honest during the whole experience. I called Gearheads yesterday , got Tony on the phone from the start, which is nice, to deal with just one person opposed to a bunch of different jarheads at a dealership service center. Anyway, Tony seemed to know the correct procedures and solutions right off the bat. It was pretty cool. I explained what the dealership had told me was the problem, and he commented on his opinions. As it turns, out he was right, and the overall cost of the service was 40% lower than what the 'big boys' wanted at the Jeep dealership. These guys do a great job - check em out!
Tips & Advices
You should change your oil filter whenever you change your oil, that is, approximately every 7,500 miles.
A oil filter is a device that helps remove contaminants from motor oil as it passes through the engine. A pump pushed the oil through the filter where it is strained and goes back to the engine.
High-mileage oil contains special conditioners that are said to help prevent gaskets from drying out and thus preventing leaks. This can be beneficial to engines with many miles on them.
Synthetic oil costs more than conventional oil, but the price is offset by the need for less frequent oil changes due to the oil’s durability.
Tools needed to change your own oil include jack stands or ramps, a wrench, an oil filter wrench, an oil drip pan, funnel, replacement oil filter, and replacement oil.
