They must think they are the gods of automotive repair! $462 to change out a starter!!!??? Holy crap!!!!! I checked repair pal dot com which gives you national averages of car repairs. The range for my repair was $236 for a mom & pop type place to $406 oh for say a dealership Ave is somewhere in between. Labor average is $105 to $134 theirs was $241.25!!!!! 3 bolts and a wire. Maybe a little more getting to it but there are guidelines for what should be charged and they are obviously rewriting the book! These are not guesses folks, these are national averages from a reputable site! They not only were not willing to work with me but tried to justify these outrageous costs! When I asked the what the core value was on a $200 starter they wanted to charge ME an additional $30 To get my bad starter back! So this was essentially a $500 starter repair! Well I feel I got screwed. You decide. If this saves one person from an overpriced repair then I'm getting at least SOME OF my $500 worth.

Cumming Collision Center
I took my 2009 Mazdaspeed 3 to them and had a wonderful experience. I got 5 different estimates before choosing Cumming Collision Center and I could not be happier with my choice. I made the decision because of how thorough they were in looking at the damage and explaining how it was going to be fixed. They said it would take a week and it took exactly that, and they ended up charging me less that the estimate. There is no sign of the damage. The paint matches perfectly, and they even washed the car inside and out before I picked it up. I will never go to a different body shop again.

Christian Brothers Automotive
Whenever I need to have my car serviced, I know that the staff at Christian brothers will definitely take care of my car in the most professional and precise way. I never have a problem getting an appointment, and the service provided for my car is usually done in less time compared to what was originally stated. The waiting area is organized and very comfortable. Upon the completion of my car's service, the staff leaves a water bottle and customer feedback card with the name of the technician so that you can give honest and helpful feedback.

Benchmark Auto Pros
I wanted to find a specific van and wasn't having much luck. I saw their add on Facebook and called them. Larry was great...he took all my information and found the exact vehicle I wanted at auction for a great price...well under what I was finding on Ebay or Autotrader, etc. He even serviced my van, all fluids, checked the brakes, did a minor dent repair and thoroughly cleaned it before I picked it up, for a nominal fee. I am very ha[[y with the overall experience and will be going back to them when it is time to get a first car for my son.

Japanese Automotive Professional Svc
I have taken our vehicles to Japanese Automotive for 12 years. They are professional and experienced. They have always gone above and beyond to satisfy the customer, with very reasonable rates. I would not take our vehicles anywhere else and have recommended them to several people, who have been equally satisfied and are repeat customers as well. Thank you Jesse, Preston and the crew!

Mr Fix Auto Repair & Electric
I took my truck to Andy a couple of times while working in the area. He went above what I had asked him to do, and fixed a problem with my window which had plagued me for two years without even including it in the repair charges. Always finished my truck ahead of promised time. Would recommend this shop for reliable on time service.

Superior service for a fair price, very clean and extremely courteous. I will take my car here on a regular basis and highly recommend to others without hesitation. It would be a mistake not to go here.
Tips & Advices
Among the common scams pulled are needless repairs, where a garage charges you for work that isn't necessary. Another popular one is attracting customers through a cheap oil change or tire pressure check. Then, when you your car is being repaired, they give you a long list of other corrections they'd like to make, therefore boosting the total cost of your bill. The best way to combat these types of problems is getting a written estimate before work is done so you can see how much repairs are expected to cost. If the final bill is higher than the estimate projected, ask to specifically see the work. Make sure information is put in writing as well. If a problem remains, you can have proof that work was not done to your satisfaction.
For winter driving, features such as the defroster, heater and exhaust system are paramount. Look in your owner's manual for specific directions on how features should be checked and repaired. Many newer cars have a cabin air filter that can be replaced when needed, allowing warm air to continue to flow in. Also, check tires before winter driving, as they need to be at the proper pressure to perform well on snow and ice.
In the spring and summer, you want to be sure your air conditioner and cooling systems work correctly. Given the high temperatures, overheating is a common problem. Look over the system by ensuring there is enough coolant available. If it needs to be refilled, it is best to open the hood and add more to the car before it gets too warm out. Also, clean out fan ducts and other ventilation sources necessary for summertime driving.
Some fixes to your car can be done without paying a specialist. Issues like replacing oil and air filters are relatively simple, with instructions provided in the owner's manual on how to make these changes. The same goes for replacing broken windshield wipers or burnt-out headlights. Such issues should be repaired quickly to guarantee safety, but don't require a visit to a garage.
Yes. Not every type of auto repair work needs to be done by a certified mechanic. You can fix some of a vehicle's issues just by paying attention to how the automobile is running and having a basic understanding of auto repair. Look over the ways weather may impact your car and what preventative measures you can take to avoid having to take it into the shop.
