Town & Country Cafe
I have been eating at Town and Country for years, an average of 3 times a month. When the air conditioning went out on a hot day and the news reported customers not coming, I went everyday to show support. Today I went was told there was a 15 minute wait. After waiting 10 minutes a couple came in and within 5 minutes went over and sat down at a just cleared table. I asked the hostess about it. She said, "Well, they called and made a reservation with Sam." "Oh, you can do that?" I asked. She said, "They are friends of Sam's and come in all the time." My husband and I left. I don't know they were and I don't know who Sam is, but Town and Country lost two good customers today despite the good food and excellent prices.

U & I Restaurant
Local restaurant that is an excellent place to eat for anyone visiting. I go often and each time I am extremely satisfied with the food and service. No matter what plate is selected, it is delicious and made to order. There is so much offered that you will NOT leave hungry. A generous variety of menu items from steaks, seafood, appetizers, salads, sandwiches, mexican and italian food choices, kid menu, desserts and beverages (wine, cocktails and frozen cocktails, softdrinks, tea and various types of coffee) but visit their website for their complete menu selections.

Jack's Barber Shop
Jose361 is full of it. There are no gangsters or Cowboy haters here. If you cannot take a joke stay at home; this IS a mans barbershop. No crybabies allowed. Jose361 needs to confront whoever is talking smack and not slander everyone at the establishment. We are not all Cowboy haters; I happen to be a diehard Cowboy fan. So, if you want the best cut or THE BEST SHOESHINE in town come on by. If Jose361 had really been coming here for 20 years he would have stop coming 10 years ago. DON' T YOU KNOW SLANSET IS A CRIME?

Taqueria Acapulco
We don't have a "real" Mexican restaurant in the Nashville, TN area. Almost everthing there is swimming in cheese to the point that the burritos look the same as the chimichangas (?). This place was very refreshing. FINALLY a place that doesn't make paste out of the beans and smother everything with cheese!!!!! Plus, it was fresh. If we come back to Corpus Christi, we will definately return to this restaurant.

Flawless Barber Shop
WOW! Is all I have to say about this place! They are the best barbershop in Corpus Christi! I was greeted as soon as I entered the shop and was offered a beverage they had sports on the all the tvs in the shop 5 might I add. The haircut was FLAWLESS and they finished it off with an old school neck shave with hot lather and a straight razor! You can't find that nowadays! I will be going back!

8te
After returning from a 3 month hiatus is Austin, I was not looking forward to returning to my dining options limited to chain restaurants and taquerias. I'd heard the scuttlebutt about 8te and after eating there was not disappointed. A locally owned establishment with a modern d├ęcor and excellent food on par with many places I patronized in Austin. Eat local, Corpus Christi!

Floyd's Christian Restaurant
they're supposed to be famous for their chicken fried steak... It was horrible, the batter was doughy and soggy, mashed potatoes tasted powdered, the tea tasted like it was made with the dishwater... You know I tried them about 5 years ago and same thing... Same cook same waitress...same crappy chicken fried steak and they're supposed to be famous for it

Andy's Country Kitchen
Andy's Country Kitchen is a family style restaurant that has great food. I enjoy the friendly owners and staff. The food tastes like home made and slow cooked. I especially like the daily specials that come with a little dessert. The owners are constantly checking on customer satisfaction and care about their customers more than I have ever seen.

Richard's Old Time Barber Shop
A real Barber Shop for Real men. No title here except Barber. No smells from perms or fingernail painting. You get good service, nice conversation and a respectfull old time atmosphere, and you just cant beat the prices. Richard is doing it right for those of us that don't care for the larger places with Stylist and lots of chemical smells.

Just a moment...
