My daughter Zoe was born premature at Christus Sphon Hospital 4 days ago. Her mother was incarcerated at the Nueces County Jail when she went into labor and returnd to the jail 2 days after she delivered. I drove from houston to be with our daughter and am here at her bedside now. The wonderful social worker contacted the Ronald McDonald House on my behalf after hearing about our family's situation. Waking up in my truck after a long night I received a call from the soicial worker saying that the Ronald McDonald House Charity had offered me their home for at least the next 5 days. I got to the home and received a very warm welcome and was taken to a comfortable room with an even more comfortable bed where I got some much needed rest after a hot shower. There was food avaliable to myself and all the families in a large communal kitchen. Everything was clean and kept so by all the families and a staff of workers. Every family at the home is there supporting a very sick child fighting for his or her life. This charity makes it possible for these families to do so, myself included. I dont know what I would do without them. My little four pound fighter is in the NIC Unit fighting to live. The wonderful doctors and nurses here at Christus Sphon South are helping her live and thanks to the Ronald McDonald Charity House I am able to be here and bear witness to another of Gods Miracles. If you are able I urge you to donate to this charity so it can continue to help these brave children and their families. Sincerely, Zoe's Daddy
My mother is in Trisun river ridge Skilled nursing facility. She is trying to recover from surgery. The patient's seem to be well attended to. The physical therapy staff is top notch and has been working with my mom diligently to regain the use of her legs. The nursing staff has catered to my every request as well and has been extremely cooperative. I'm not really happy with the Dr. as he seems to want to medicate her all of the time, but I have voiced my concerns and they have addressed them. Unfortunately you have to not just leave your loved one there, you have to go and visit and check and get involved with their care. The facility does seem to be a bit understaffed as well, but all in all, it's served it's purpose. Kathryn Sorrows RDH
We searched numerous places in hopes of finding the best possible care for our mother. After several nightmare facilities in CC, we were blessed with CCNR. The amount of care that is given was excellent. Not once, did we ever have any concerns about our mothers care. Our beloved mother has since passed however; I would highly recommend CCNR without a doubt.
This place is under new management and has improved tremendously !! My sister's Mother-in-Law has been there for a few years and we just moved our mother in due to her failing health. She has improved so much, that she is being taken off of Hospice. I have never seen anything messy or smelly.
Fantastic staff! Great therapists.
