We lost our fence with Hurricane Harvey and needed a replacement fast, along with a number of other residents in CC. so, I was expecting a long wait period. Donald showed up, gave us a quote and got to work in no time. He and his crew were very honest, knowledgeable, and professional. When they completed the job, they did an excellent job of cleaning up. Our fence looks great and we were extremely pleased with his work! Thanks.

Troy's Fence
Troy's Fence installed Gate Systems for 5 entrances to our business in Corpus Christi. We face Baldwin and Airport Rd. The Aluminum gates were decided upon because of the old style were too hard to open manually. The new Aluminum gates are superb quality and easy to open and close. We have to secure them open during the day, because the wind will blow them closed. Next year, Troy will install operator's for us to fully automate them. Working with Troy and Julian is a pleasure, and I can not recommend them enough.

Troy's Fence
I had a huge problem with extremely heavy double gates. They had been repaired many times & still never worked, due to the weight of them and the loose soil in my area. The motor wasn't the issue, as Apollo, and replaced it 2x at no charge, since it was new and under warranty. I was lucky enough to find Troy's Fence from seeing them working on a neighbors fence. I asked my neighbor how they did and she said really great; so I contacted Troy. He got back to me quickly, and said he'd look at what was going on. I was skeptical, that this expensive gate could be repaired, as DC Fence had told me they could fix it and had not accomplish it, after I spent thousands of dollars having my posts reset 2x by them and 2x by the contractor that installed them. I was about to have them torn out and get new ones, when Troy said he would repair them and give me a 3 year warranty on the posts. He had designed a special post for loose soil and it has never failed him. He could have made a lot more money from me by just replacing the gate. That's what every other person wanted to do, after the repair didn't work, but Troy is an extremely honest guy. His workers were clean, quick, and I didn't even know they were in my back area doing the work. Troy did an AMAZING JOB! I walked out of my garage, preparing to leave a few mornings later, and my gates were up, fixed and the old remotes were working! I could not believe it! The new posts are beautiful, and have great caps on them. I doubt I will ever have a problem with them again, getting caught on the ground or slipping, as the posts are so sturdy, it's amazing. It makes the gates look a so much better, too. More prominent. I would highly recommend anyone putting in gates, fences or repairing them to give Troy Fence a try. I will only use them from now on! They fixed a problem for me that I've been dealing with for 6 years, since I installed the gates. They did an A+++ job! They are very honest, very clean & and fast!
Tips & Advices
Homeowners should work with a fencing contractor who is certified by or a member of one or more trade organizations, including American Fence Association or the North American Fence Contractors Association.
If a contractor requires an immediate decision, asks you to pay cash or doesn't provide an estimate.
  • Ask for portfolio examples
  • What's their reputation?
  • Is the work guaranteed?
  • Is there a warranty?
With exposure to the sun and the elements, wood fences are prone to cracking, warping and cupping. homeowners are encouraged to clean, seal and stain their fence at least every three years. Clean the fence with a specially formulated cleaner. After 15 to 20 minutes, use a pressure washer to remove any mold, mildew and debris from the fence. Then seal and stain the fence to protect it. An oil stain is recommended, as it penetrates the material and can maintain its condition for years.
Homeowners may use soap and water to clean off these materials, but they generally don't require much more than that. These options can be good for those that want a sturdy but low-touch fence.
