Choosing to have my vision corrected at the Berkeley Eye Center was by far the best decisions that I have made. The staff maintains a level of professionalism and courtesy that far exceeds the standard norm. They provide detailed explanations of procedures and never exhibited the sales tactics often found in other offices. Essentially, the staff never seemed to pressure me into making any decision. In fact, they encouraged me to carefully consider my options before making any final decision. I found that this passive behavior relieved any apprehension that I had been feeling regarding this serious and life changing decision and allow me to focus on the details more effectively. From the moment you enter into the Berkeley Eye Center it is evident that customer service is the primary focus of this business. From day one, every appointment that I had started at the scheduled time. In fact, on several occasion I was seen early. This was such a comfort as I often find myself the victim of long waits at other doctor offices. I applaud the effective use of time management that Berkeley Eye Center employs. The actual surgery for correcting my visions was an overall success. While there was some slight discomfort immediately after the surgery, it quickly subsided. Though it has only been a month, my vision has continued to improve daily. I am still amazed at how effective the procedure was. Having relied on glasses and contact for over 15 years has made adjusting interesting. I find myself continually reaching up to adjust my glasses or venturing into the bathroom to remove my contacts at night. Considering that this is the only complaint I have found reinforces the fact that the Berkeley Eye Center is both an effective and practical option for correcting vision. I look forward to many more years of clear perfect vision and encourage any individual contemplating this procedure to schedule the free evaluation.

I recently got my LASIK done here on 4/29/2016. Doctor Spengler and his staff at the Corpus Christi location were excellent. From start to finish they answered every question provided loads of information and were friendly. Even after the procedure they continue to provide excellent service and willing to answer any question they won't just send you away. Here's a timeline of events 4/21/2016 Initial consultation and exam They do an initial screening and give you all the options available as well as the financial options. The lady explains the differences in procedures and asks which would you like, and discusses the entire process to you. I chose to proceed ASAP with LASIK and had a consultation with Dr. Spengler in a separate consultation. 4/26/2016 Second Consult 5 days later I returned were he reconfirms your eyes and the staff gets the "eyeprint" they use to treat your eyes. Confirmation of surgery day.

The service is as personal and friendly as it can be. The receptionist treated me better than what I would expect at the registration desk of a 5-star hotel. In contrast to any clinic, where you have to wait for a lengthy period of time before they put you in different rooms, the whole procedure was efficient. I actually didn't even mind staying there even longer because they serve you with good coffee and a variety of popular magazines that you can enjoy in one of their very comfortable couches. That's HEAVEN in the

Dr. Jack A. Sahadi
I saw an optometrist who told me I need to have my cataract removed right away. He sent me to a different surgeon and I was concerned because I felt like I was seeing fine. I am glad I saw Dr. Sahadi for a second opinion. He told me there was a little cataract and I could have it removed when I was ready but there was no rush. He spent the time with me to make sure I got a pair of glasses so I could see well. The staff was very caring and obviously very experienced. Thank you Dr. Sahadi!

Great service and all the employees are quick to assist you. The Pro family who are the ones that fit you are also extra personable. They have great 1 hour service for basic frames and lenses and you can't beat the cost. I am one of their cash customers since they only accept medicaid and chip. That is the only reason I wouldn't give them 5 stars. My husband prefers name brand and paying 100% is not an option if we have insurance.

Bay Area Vision & Contact Lens Center
I have been going to Bay Area Vision for several years. Dr. Walz and his staff are just great. Dr. Walz is very conscientious and professional. The staff has always been very friendly and work hard to get me in at a convenient time in my schedule. I have recommended Bay Area to several of my friends and co-workers all of whom have been very satisfied.

I had LASIK done yesterday and within a couple of hours I was seeing great. The process was very smooth and almost painless. The staff at the office was very good at explaining every step to me so that my anxiety would be less. Overall, I had an amazing experience and would recommend this procedure to anyone looking to get rid of glasses or contacts.

I've never experienced an office so pleasant. The entire process starting from my initial visit to the day I had cataract surgery. The staff made me feel as if I was the only patient they had. Always taking my calls, calling to make sure I received my meds & followed up with things that needed to be done on my part before surgery.

I just had my Lasik surgery done at Berkeley eye center by Dr. Spengler. Mrs. Shular and the rest of the ladies on staff there were very helpful with all my questions and with my follow up care. If you are in need of vision correction there is no better place to have your procedure done then Berkeley Eye Center!
Tips & Advices
A regular eye exam focuses on the general health of your eyes, while a contact lens exam is focused specifically on how your eyes react to contact lenses. A contact lens exam tests how well you see while wearing contacts. Your eyes are also evaluated to make sure your tear ducts produce enough tears to allow you to comfortably wear contact lenses.
The cost of contact lenses depends on the type of lens being purchased and the vision problem that is being corrected. For nearsightedness, you'll be able to purchase a box of six lenses for roughly $25. Each lens needs to be replaced after a couple of weeks, which will require you to purchase 10 boxes of lenses each year, for a total of $250 per year. Contact lenses that treat other conditions like astigmatism and presbyopia are more expensive, and can cost $500-$700 a year.
Some people may experience certain side effects when wearing contact lenses. Dry eyes may result, and some people may experience eye or eyelid inflammation. Some contact lens wearers may also develop allergic reactions to the liquid contact lens solution that is used to clean and disinfect the lens.
The cost of an eye exam can range $50-$250 or more. The cost will depend on the tests that are included, and whether the exam involves a contact lens fitting. The cost of the test will also hinge on whether the exam is performed by an optometrist or ophthalmologist.
An eye exam typically takes 20-30 minutes. If additional tests are required, the process could take longer. Eye exams test your sight, but they are also used to make sure your eyes are in good health. During the test, your eye care professional will ask if you've been experiencing any problems with your vision. Your eyes will be examined using a device known as an ophthalmoscope, and the movement of coordination of your eyes will be checked.
