Thomas J Teenier MD DDS
I have never had a worse experience! I went in for a wisdom tooth extraction. The day of the procedure, I was asked to come in 2 hours early as someone had cancelled. I waited 4 hours before being called back for my procedure! Afterwards, my mother and adult daughter took me home. A few days later, I experienced the worse pain in my jaw that spread to my whole face. Turns out, the staff and Dr. Teenier forgot to tell my family to pick up prescriptions to prevent infection. Dr. Teenier blamed me for not knowing, instinctively, that prescriptions were waiting for me and suggested my mother and daughter knew and didn't pick them up. He was rude and no one in the office ever apologized for the mix up. So, if you are a mind reader that enjoys being treated like dirt, this is the place for you.

Dr. Daniel Acosta is a very thorough gastro specialist. He is also sure his patients are okay before they are released from his care. I recommend Dr. Acosta to anyone.

Dr. Michael J Pendleton, MD
This doctor and his staff are terrible and endangers peoples lives. I called into their office on January 12, 2017 to get a refill for my blood pressure medicine. They told me they would take care of it and call me back. I never received a phone call. I called them again on January 19, 2017 and they said they would call me back. I never got a call back. I called them back on January 26, 2017 and they have informed me that they will not refill my medicine without an appointment. The earliest they could make an appointment is January 30, 2017. Walmart worked with me and gave me a weeks worth of my medicine but now I'm out and my life is in danger because this Doctor and his staff have very poor communication skills and they do not keep thier word.

Tucker, William A, MD
Bad Doctor. My friend now has to live withpain because of damage done by Dr. W. A Tucker. Now she is in need of a neurosurgeon to fix the mess he made on her leg last I heard she was going to another state to try and fix the nerve damage. She's also going to write the Texas State Medical Board once she recovers. People should take the time to write reviews I know if she would have seen a bad review she would have gone with another Doctor. I have also seen other bad reviews of Tucker on yahoo.com only there he's listed in Rockport, Texas.

Understanding, caring, and very intelligent. This doctor is like 'old school' doctors. He listens, takes his time, and offers many services such as lab work i his office. He is a specialist and is dedicated to his patients.

Dr. Teenier just popped my bad tooth right on out! I've never had such a fast and pain free dental appointment. And his workers helped me figure out the insurance. I even got a call that night to see if I was okay. Great service

All I can say is that I've never met a doctor with more experience or knowledge in my life. I was so comfortable during my treatment. I got a warm blanket and so much attention before my surgery. Dr. Teenier sedated me so it felt like my visit lasted only 5 minutes! If you want expertise and no pain, this is the place to go!

Dr. Teenier did my wisdom teeth removal. I was a nervous wreck knowing I had to have my teeth pulled and it being my first time that it had ever been done. He is an amazing doctor! I went in for pre op and he made sure I understood everything before I left his office. I left feeling assured & confident knowing I had chosen the perfect doctor for my procedure. The day of the procedure went as perfect as it could have gone, though I was a little out of it. That night he called to check on me to see how I was doing. I mean how many doctors call themselves to check on their patients personally?! That made my outlook on him even better! Post op check up I was having some concerns, he made sure he addressed all issues and even made me come in for an additional check up, which made me feel at ease. Overall Dr. Teenier is an amazing doctor! I have and will continue to recommend him present & future!

Dr. Herbe Gentile, MD
Had my lips operated on to take away some of the lines on top lip. I had sores and puss pockets almost immediately went back and he did not know what they were. Would not fix it or work on me again. Kept saying in 8 to 12 months it would be better. So I had to lance the puss pockets with alcohol and needle. Had one that was too deep went back to him to get it fixed and he said he did not take Medicare so I should go to my medical Dr. Went to them and they said they would not touch it go to Dermatologist. At that time I had 8 eruptions on my lips. Went to Dermatologist and he said Gentile had cut into the oil glands on my lips and that any moisture or oil would cause eruptions. He said there was a procedure to fix it but it was very painful and would leave more scars that were already there from Gentile. Not an option. So I am left after 9 months with scars and sores. Also the top lip was too small and I could not smile, so as time went on my lips stretched so now I have white stretch marks on my top lip. Much more, too much, my advise if you are thinking about using him as a cosmedic surgeon, RUN
Tips & Advices
This depends on the facility. Patients should call to find out if they'll need a referral from their physician prior to making an appointment.
Aside from hyperbaric oxygen treatment, most wound care centers offer:
  • Debridement: The removal of dead skin and tissue surrounding the wound. This can be done surgically, using a whirlpool bath, syringes, enzymes that dissolve the tissue, or wet dressings that dry on the wound and absorb the dead tissue.
  • Dressing: Wrapping the wound in a protective film, gauze, gel, or foam.
  • Compression stockings: Tight-fitted fabric sheaths that encourage blood flow.
  • Artificial skin: A covering that is applied to the wound for several days as it heals.
  • Ultrasound: The use of sound waves to promote healing.
  • Growth factor therapy: The use of materials naturally produced by the body to encourage quick cell growth.
  • Negative pressure therapy: Creating a vacuum around a wound to encourage faster blood flow to the area.
Depending on where the treatment is administered, hyperbaric oxygen treatment  can cost $100- $1,000. After insurance is applied, patients may have a copay of $10 -$50 or a coinsurance fee of 10 percent to 50 percent.
Most wounds should heal within two to six weeks. An individual should seek chronic wound treatment if a wound has not begun to heal after two weeks or is not completely healed after six.
Most health insurance plans cover wound care. Patients should check with the clinic and their health insurance provider before seeking treatment to be sure.
